Important Dates

August 1st: Signing window opens for teams to negotiate extensions with current players or to sign players from their affiliated Contenders team. Teams may also begin making player trades.

September 8th: Inaugural-season agreements officially end. Any players not under contract become free agents.

September 9th - October 7th: Exclusive window for Overwatch League expansion teams to sign free agents.

October 8th: Free-agent signing window opens for all teams.

December 1st: All teams must have a minimum of eight players under contract.

New to Season 2

Two-Way Players

For the 2019 Overwatch League season, teams and players may negotiate the right to designate the player as eligible to compete in Contenders on an affiliated team. Any player on the roster may agree to be eligible for Contenders play, but a maximum of four players may be designated as "two-way" players during each Overwatch League stage, and those players must be identified and submitted to the League Office prior to each stage.

Just had a competitive game where a duo queued together through the group finder, and both selected DPS as their locked role. Presumably, this was so they had the excuse of "I can only pick DPS, you guys are gonna have to fill the other spots," as this was their reaction--after not speaking the entire game--when one of the other team members instalocked soldier before they could in round 3. The guy who locked soldier didn't understand, and then a flame war started. So we lost, in no small part due to the group finder's role lock feature being permitted for smaller than max party sizes for our game mode.

I cannot fathom a real drawback to requiring a max party size for role locking, and it seems awfully susceptible to abuse in the current form. Imagine 3 or 4 people queued together as DPS roles (or even all of them in tank or healer roles). That seems very nearly like sabotage to me, with no recourse for the team mates not involved in the collusion.

I don't really care if it's a joke skin a sports skin or just her in swimwear, I'm not a fan of any of the Moira skins and it saddens me because the more I play her the more I like her and want a skin (don't yell at me for not liking blackwatch my group did that enough haha) and currently I just use the base one because none of the other ones do it for me. Anyone else feel this way or am I being too picky?

Edit: I think Moira should get a scuba diver skin, it would be amazing

Why does D.Va not get any fire points for eating projectile ultimates?

I know this isn't the most urgent or important matter, but yeah. There are few things more game-changing than a D.Va eating a Graviton Surge or a Blizzard, and even eating a Dragonstrike can prevent a team wipe. Yet, it feels like there's almost no recognition of that on the game's end.

I understand why it's trickier to do with other ults, like Pharah's or Roadhog's because you could have just blocked a second of them, which may not be that crucial. However, you at least get fire points for damage blocked. With the above projectile ults, you get nothing. Just sassy voice lines (which are fantastic, don't get me wrong).

I think it would be fun and interesting if blizzard put the option to run the payload backwards on custom games or maybe even in the arcade. Same checkpoints and spawning zones, just reversed. I realize they aren't designed for this but it would give players a fresh perspective on these maps and, I think, just be a lot of fun. Thoughts?
