Hey Reddit. I know that self promotion is highly frowned upon over here, but do know that my intentions are good and I want to help the community.

My name is Lade and I'm a Smash veteran of 10 years. I don't travel frequently in Smash 4 so most people who aren't oldschool don't know who I am, but I was ranked 2nd in Florida in Brawl for a long time under the tag RedHalberd. I've also competed in Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Smash Bros Melee for several years. I'm currently ranked 5th in my region.

In my region's Facebook group, I've been posting "Pro Tips" for over 2 years to help my local community get better. I won't take credit for personally training anyone, but there are lots of amazing players in my region like Cashmere, Rideae, Manny, and PK Kid that I've watched grow up from brand new smashers.

The Pro Tips series features a GIF of a high level interaction with a (Somewhat) concise explanation of the thought process behind it and how you can add it to your game.

Since I created the public Twitter a week ago, I've received a lot of positive reception and was advised to post it here. I've had weird experiences with Smashbros Reddit, it seems that on average the mentality here is much different from most competitive scenes, but just know that I genuinely want to reach out to more players and help them improve their gameplay.

With top players such as Lunchables, Malachi, Sosa, Fuzz, Luck, Silver, Tealz, and more confirmed with a few extra tentative, you're going to see some extremely high level representation with projected hype sets such as Malachi vs. Fuzz and Lunchables vs. Sosa.

There's going to be a 5v5 crew battle which currently has Malachi, Sosa, and Silver (2 remaining TBD) vs. Lunchables, Fuzz, and Luck (2 remaining TBD). There is a redemption bracket for all of those who are unable to make it out of pools.

We're also testing a new stage list with high level representation. The current issue with the stagelist is that 1. nobody can agree on stages and 2. there isn't a good 10th stage which makes the 1 ban vs. 2 ban argument impossible to solve. We have implemented a modified version of Delfino's Secret, slightly extended the side blast zones of WL, and slightly reduced the blast zones of Dream Land in addition to adding the Flat YI:B stage that is available on Legacy TE. This eliminates the MANY concerns players have with DS while taking out some of the volatile aspects of DL/WL and adds a 10th stage so that 2 bans is a valid option.

Basically title. If we had more quotes of a character trash-talking another, what would be, in your opinion, the things that they'd say to each other? Any character works and you can put as much BM as you want.

I mostly play Marth and Link. I can generally understand why I'm losing when I am but good Yoshi players always leave me feeling helpless. What am I missing? What's the key to beating Yoshi?

• POT BONUS! Our partners at the Chicago Gaming Coalition (the org we are running MM11 alongside) have generously offered a $1k pot bonus for Smash 4 singles at MM11. Hi all. I lost one of my good college buddies to cancer last year. We used to play Brawl all the time, among many other things, with our two other buddies in my tiny, dirty, but comfy college dorm. In dedication to him, I want to get a tat of his fav character (jigglypuff) putting mine (diddy kong) and my other friends' fav chars (toon link and samus) to sleep using his "sing" move.

So I'm requesting someone (I don't know a better sub or community to ask; hope it doesn't violate any rules) to take some screen shots on their Wii for me of the description above. I don't know how I could repay you other than my eternal gratefulness and a picture of the tattoo after I get it done.

It's from a few years back. Some guy was saying that he was ' da Bess Smash bruthus playa' in da wuuuuuld!' And he was calling out two of his local players, Austin and Alley. Then he proceeded to say he was going to spike them, and to demonstrate that, stood up on a recliner and jumped off.

I've been out of the scene for a while, but I really wanna see that video, because that was hilarious.

I'm getting back into Smash 4 because the Smash 4 scene in <REDACTED TO AVOID ANGRY THOTS IN COMMUNITY> is honestly pretty free, and I'd like to keep my focus on Melee and Guilty Gear, so I'm just gonna play Bayo. So far it's worked pretty well, I'm well aware of the BnBs, but I would appreciate tips on playing neutral.

I've been mainly RAR Bairing with bullet time, PP Jabs and Pivot Ftilts, and most frequently, using scare tactics I use as Zangief and Potemkin with a Smash twist, like walking back and forth, running up and shielding (basically trying to condition my opponent to try and grab, or they'll get hit by Witch Twist OoS) I would provide footage for critiquing, but nobody brings a stream setup and my elgato has a bad USB.

Is there anything else I should keep in mind when playing neutral?
