Just thought I'd let y'all know that with the current sale anyone who hasn't put any money into the game but has held out on their 500 crowns can currently purchase either Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild DLC.

What they have to offer:

Dark Brotherhood has a fantastic storyline with fun side quests, 6+ dailies, two beautiful cities in Kvatch and Anvil from ES IV: Oblivion, and a new skill line which includes the ability to assassinate human NPC's!

Thieves Guild offers a great storyline, plenty of dailies, a very dense and fun city in Hews Bane on the peninsula of Hammerfell, a new skill line that includes the ability to open the many thieves troves players will see dotted across Tamriel. Seriously, I was planning on buying a camel mount when I got my next ESO+ crown allotment. But instead of paying 1800C for just the mount, I'll instead pay 1600C for the the mount, a dragon frog pet, 5 experience scrolls and lifelong access to the Thieves Guild DLC. Sweeeeet. Thanks, ZeniMax!

On normal days, my fps hangs around 50-60 which is alright for me considering I'm on an old laptop.

Today, i decide to update my nvidia graphics driver. Everything went fine, but when i got back into the game, my fps dropped to 30! When I'm in combat, it goes as low as 7-10 fps! Its unplayable!

Has this happened to anyone before and if so, any solutions?

I was sneaking around stealing stuff and my friends told me that the dragon was sneaking too. So I turned around and went backwards, and damned if the little guy wasn't up on his tippy toes, with his wings spread, looking for all the world like he was sneaking along with me. This is by far my favorite pet animation to date. Thank you, ZOS.

Around 18 seconds I noticed it

So I've been following this guide to increase my dps. I got the gear, I got the skills, I got the cp (well around 400 of them) but what I didn't get was the dps.

Since my luck was kinda bad I'm running atm:

• 2x Valkyn Skoria heavy+medium, divine
• 5x Necropotence light, divine (Gold)
• 3x Willpower
• 1x Julianos Lightning, nirnhoned (Gold)
• 1x Julianos Inferno, infused (Gold)

Food: Bloody Mara (+5k health, +4.5k or so magicka)

I practiced the rotation and know it pretty well, but aside from minor sustain issues I can't even get close to the numbers in the guide. With ultimate and spell power potions I can barely get to 25k on a puppet, and at this point I feel pretty retarded because of it. In real battle (single target) I usually can't even get close to 20k, usually I hit around 16k (average in nMoL single target).

What might I be missing? What parts of the gear should I switch until I finally get Ilambris/am able to complete vMA?

So I'm wondering whether a stamDK or a magDk (I realize both are fairly awful) would be easier to clear vMA on. I've seen extremely conflicting information because alcast and some others say magicka builds are always easier period for first run, and that stamDK is one of the worst of the stam builds for it. However I've read NUMEROUS posts that magDK is by far the worst because the sustain is so horrid and they have zero burst.

Also important to mention that I don't care whatsoever about score, just how easy it would be to complete.

The dark brotherhood and thieves guild boosts have came along nicely with this snowed in business. Now on day 3 of red alert weather here in Scotland and its been fantastic time to grind my Magika NB. Off to the Gold Coast i go today.

I've made a number of videos over the years regarding these topics so I thought I'd highlight a couple of them here and give some advice for new players looking to get some cool looking motifs for themselves or to sell.

Abah's Watch Motif: Video Guide The video here goes through it thoroughly. The key is having laundered loot items to fulfill the Covetess Countess quests from Kari's quest board.

Thieves Guild motif: These come from the Thieves Guild heists (once daily per character) from the heist board. Nightblades have a clear advantage here with their cloak ability but I've made a video to show that with good positioning and patience, you can complete it without cloak. Several keys to this: stealth speed movement (from vampire passive or Night's Silence item set), medium armor passives, and stealth detect range reduction (from racial passives -- bosmer/khajiit -- and/or 3 pieces of the Night Terror item set). Invisibility potions may also prove to be helpful. (Invis + Speed potion: Namira's Rot, Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma)

Dark Brotherhood motif: I made a video highlighting a Sacrament where I barely use cloak (just once or twice) and could have avoided it entirely being more careful. And soon after making this video I then discovered a massive shortcut via a secret passage near the entrance to the location, so there's still a lot to learn here. The sacrament locations are actually pretty fun playgrounds for nightblades if you like to explore and find secret places. And unlike heists where you lose time for even being seen or attacking anyone, if you kill an opponent quick enough in a sacrament it won't count against you. You'll see me use Lethal Arrow, Light Attack, Poison Injection in the video to take down some roaming guards. All the same stealth advice for heists also applies for sacraments. The only downside here is you are not guaranteed a motif page after a 100% successful sacrament.

I was reading the feedback from players about the new skill adviser and almost every single comment was "this needs a lot of work" or "this is outright bad." But... I made a new Warden character after not liking Warden the first time I played it, using the Initiate Warden skill adviser build and... I actually like playing it now.

Does this just mean I'm the Ultimate Noob, or what? I'm not offended or bothered if that's the case, it just kind of surprised me that I actually really liked the skill adviser but no one else did. To be fair, I've only tried it on one build and I'm only level 10, but...

Seriously, what a great simple feature to help someone out with basics of character setup. I was able to improve my character in minutes and it made the game more fun to play!

There are also a bunch of different focus options to dial-in how you want to play! So good!

I stopped playing right before the Morrowind. I left with a tank that beat all the raid dungeons on normal.

Tonight I had a very vivid dream about the game and suddenly felt the urge to install it again.

What's the best stuff that I can look forward to this weekend?

We all are, friend. We all are.

After the most recent patch I've been having some really weird bugs happening, not entirely sure what's causing them, but they feel like a lag/latency issue. But I wasn't having these issues before the patch and my ping/connection hasn't changed since the patch either (around ~280ms, I'm in Australia FeelsBadMan)

Most common one is enemies will get down to around <10% health and then they'll 'freeze' and won't do anything, I can't damage them and if I target them with a skill my character freezes up mid animation, then about a second or 2 later they fall over and everything goes back to normal. Also been having some strange bugs with skills casting and bar swapping that also feels very similar to that bug^

Anyone else experiencing this or am I just going insane?

So this may not get a ton of traction, but just thought I'd share. I started this game back in beta and played up to VR16 and have been playing casually off and on over the last couple years.

I started getting back into it again and after completing the bulk of the questing available to me I wanted to start knocking out the dungeons and building up some better gear. Currently a CP315 DK Tank, good crafted set gear, not great.

Everything started great, better than I expected. I easily rolled through the first 6-7 Vet Dungeons without any issue, despite it being my first time and learning all the mechanics as I went. Probably a little lower DPS than other tanks can pull, but with the help of some competent healing I pretty much face-rolled everything at full speed.

Yesterday however, my undaunted pledge was for Direfrost Keep. Things were going well, some slight grumbling from one of the DPS about thinking he's doing too high of a percentage of our damage, but overall smooth sailing.

Then it's time for the Boss. The bitch Drodda of Icereach. Grumbling DPS politely explains the boss mechanics (must break free from her spell or she gets a massive heal), but while tanking I essentially fucked that up 3 times in a row letting her fully heal off my huge HP pool because I didn't manage my Stam properly. Anyway, after the 3rd mistake by me, grumbly DPS called for a wipe and insta-kicked me. At first I was shocked, not just at my own failure but how quick the kick came.

But the more I thought about it, it struck me as pretty cool that despite playing this game for years (albeit casually at times) there is still a ton to learn.

TL:DR – ESO is awesome, but I suck at it still.

I guess it's cool and all but I would have rather have some new content. Or some improvements like a trial finder, a search bar for guild traders or even fix some of the numerous bugs. And another question. Are the thieves guild and dark brotherhood quests worth doing. I find the dark brotherhood quests to be boring. They all seem basically the same 2 me.

Hello ESO players, I am trying to get to grips with this game and for the most part enjoying it, however I would like to play it my own way if possible and was wondering if I could get some pointers on some options if you would be so kind.

Trading - tbh never been a big fan of trading in any game. I am not looking to min/max everything or rush to be a millionaire but would like to get hold of some nice weapons / armour / houses at some point. Is this possible without joining a trading guild and just using merchants?

Potions - I have realised that to use my stamsorc i will need a good deal of pots and so have started trying to make some and wondered if its worth having a second character just for gathering so I can leave my stamsorc in the area they need to be and have my 'gatherer' as a roamer.

...which brings me to storage.. Upto now I am finding there to be too little storage. My backpacks and 60 items bank is constantly full. I am also seeing alot of the items for making potions and other raw materials are worth nothing. I know there is the bank, backpacks, mules and now some housing storage which I can look into (if viable for a 'casual' player) - but are there any other options?
