My two biggest obstacles as a new player enjoying the game. Posted: 06 Sep 2018 04:02 AM PDT Going into ranked, even at rank 25 (the chicken) is putting me up against a LOT of nicely constructed decks. Who are these people with amazing cards at rank 25?!? Why are there so many of these people? Shouldn't they have moved up the ladder out of newbie ranks a while ago? It's not fun as a new player getting stomped by incredible decks over and over. It seems the only people who don't have great decks appear to be bots. Slow players. I can understand at higher ranks people needing time to make a decision for optimal play but jesus, how many times is the timer going to almost run out before my opponent does something? It's frustrating because I'm just trying to get through a few games during my down time and these people are taking forever and a day with each of their turns. In the time wasted, we both could've played another entire game. So yeah... these are my biggest hangups right now. Part of this is just me ranting, but maybe some of you guys will have suggestions to make it better? I also don't understand why everyone says go for mage as your first hero. It's not fun. Pally is fun. Hunter is fun (especially since I got lucky and drew the hero card and can make funny minions). Priest also seems fun but I need better cards for it. If I wasn't trying to stay on a budget, there's a rogue deck I saw that steals a lot of the opponent's cards and that one looked like it would be fun to play. Edit: THIRD thing I totally forgot about... animation speeds on mobile. Ugggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh.
