- Why is Anchor Weed like this
- Undead Warrior Grevant by me
- NPC's can wear hats and keep their hair. Why not us players? *thinking face*
- Why Jaina did not join the Lordaeron battle sooner
- World of Warriors: 6 120 warriors, now with Mag'har
- Truly a hero to the Mag'har.
- Someone's been remaking cutscenes from Warcraft 3 with WoW models and it's awesome.
- You'd assume a hairstyle made specifically for a race wouldn't clip, I guess it's too much to ask.
- The One True King in One Sixth Scale
- Jumping on Stuff: How to get on top of Daelin Proudmoore's Statue.
- A proud boyfriend
- How i feel playing my Shaman-Alt right now
- Map of Azeroth according to Chronicles
- When you get ganked for the 8th time in war mode so you log onto your horde alt to tell them off
- Tin foil hat theory: Old Gods and our dear, harmless Azeroth:
- “Poor quality”
- I am done Warchiefs and their War Crimes. Horde united 38 years ago and Thrall was Warchief for 9 years and was the only Warchief that didn’t genocide, burn, blight or mana bomb innocents. I don’t understand hate against Thrall. Also when will Horde have a Leader that doesn’t genocide innocents?
- now THAT feels rewarding
- Blizzard did such a good job creating these new zones!
- He remembered me, even though we didn't play together for around 12 years. Of course I remembered his main. Only in WoW.
- Did someone say tanks?
- Pet leashes work on Dutiful Squire
- Knight-Lieutenant Velriana Idorii
- Just wanted to share this portrait of my main I drew.
- I know people look different in pictures sometimes, but this is a bit much

Tin foil hat theory: Old Gods and our dear, harmless Azeroth: Posted: 01 Sep 2018 04:34 AM PDT This is a (very) lengthy theory, and a good chuck of it is simply just help form a foundation for a bold claim. So strap in, we're going on a ride! So to start off with, let's agree that Blizzard have never been subtle about where they draw some of their inspiration from, and what their characters are based on. Thorim and his hammer Krolmir = Thor and his hammer Mjölnir Arakkoa = Aarakocra Bwonsamdi = Baron Samedi The old gods are no different, as all their names are derived from some of the most powerful deities of the author H.P Lovecraft's cosmic-horror mythos. C'thun = C'thulu Yogg-Saron = Yogg-Sothoth N'Zoth = Zoth-Ommog The last of the old gods, Y'Shaarj, was a bit harder to find the inspiration for. His titles and discriptions given by the Klaxxi are the only hints given. Kil'ruk the Wind-Reaver will, upon reaching exalted with the Klaxxi, reveal a good chuck of story for the Klaxxi and who they served/serve. He reveals a crucial detail as to Y'Shaarj's appearance and possibly inspiration: One of the Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron's many whispers is "Have you had the dream again? A black goat with seven eyes that watches from the outside". Although the Puzzle Box states "eyes" and not "heads", it seems safe to assume, that the Puzzle Box is referring to Y'Shaarj. Furthermore, the heart of Y'shaarj itself, whispers of the Black Woods, during our fight against Garrosh in Siege of Orgrimmar. All this is a decent basis for which Lovecraftian deity he may be based on: Shub-Niggurath The Black Goat of the Woods. The reason I wanted to explain this first, was to set one thing perfectly clear before explaining my theory: The Old Gods of Warcraft are heavily inspired by H.P Lovecrafts horrors. Inspiration often visible in their names. "No shit sherlock!" you might be mumbling under your breath. "But wait, my dear Watson!" I say to you. For the ride has yet to conclude! Throughout Lovecraft's work, many named deities and creatures have been the subject of his stories. Most commonly used in pop culture is of course C'thulu. And although less widely known, Yogg-Sothoth, Zoth-Ommog and Shub-Niggurath have all had their impact in Lovecrafts stories. But what do they have in common? All of them came from one. One being birthed all of those great horrors. One being is the cause of all existence to exist! It sleeps, so that the world remains. It unknowingly causes everything to be. It is known by many names. The Nuclear Chaos. The Daemon Sultan Azathoth. That name almost sounds familiar, right? Since creation, our planet, no matter what it is, have contained a world soul. A world soul that could potentially become a Titan. But what if the opposite could happen? Is it that big of a stretch, to assume that Sargeras struck our planet, not just because it houses a few old gods, but to rid the cosmos of an even greater threat? He DID form the Burning Legion to combat the void lords and their minions. Azerite, this oh so valuable ore we have been gathering for Magni, might even be a hint at this. Saronite ore is the petrified blood of Yog-Saron, Azerite could be the same for Azeroth. Slowly corrupting blood from an Old God. And speaking of Magni; When we fought Il'gynoth in the Emerald Nightmare, he gave us a few whispers: "The King of Diamonds have been made a pawn" "From the earth he draws strength…Our earth…Our strength" "Its surface blazes bright, masking shadows below" We've all been drawing strength from this bright, shiny Azerite, maybe even Magni included since we collect it for him. Y'Shaarj is no threat to us, as he was defeated long ago, before our time. C'thun was defeated by players at Ahn'Qiraj in vanilla. Yogg-Saron was defeated by players at Ulduar in WotLK. N'Zoth was finally shown in the most recent video Warbringers - Aszhara. It's safe to assume he'll be a boss, and will fall like his brothers. But to quote yet another whisper by Ill'gynoth: "Five keys to open our way. Five torches to light our path" Five keys, for the Void to enter our reality? 1: Y'Shaarj 2: C'thun 3: Yogg-Saron 4: N'Zoth 5: Azeroth Doom is near. Let the Black Empire rise again. *screams in Twilight's Hammer* [link] [comments] | ||
