On Fallout 4 does it feel all the master locks have really disappointing things in them? Posted: 08 Aug 2018 06:56 AM PDT So I started to play Fallout 4 again and reached a level that I could pick master locks. Every time I open one it has the most disappointing things in them. Like just ammo and grenades. Why can't we get some cool weapons? In New Vegas you can get the Gobi Sniper rifle. Why can we get something like that? [link] [comments]
Why did everyone stop cleaning in the Fallout universe? Posted: 08 Aug 2018 07:36 AM PDT That is always my biggest problem with everything. You go to a diner in Fallout 4 that is still in operation, but they haven't cleaned it since 2077. Why doesn't' anyone keep their place clean? I want to see society rebuilding. [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 11:53 AM PDT The game feels so much more alive and lived in. I just gone through the museum in concord and the log by the sergeant and the terminal by the tour guide is just so fascinating. Edit: downvoted instantly as soon as I post it? Some people judge so fast. [link] [comments]
Deathclaws are crazy powerful in FO3 compared to FO4 Posted: 07 Aug 2018 07:56 AM PDT My first Fallout was FO4. I got it because it looked like the best game coming out in late 2015 and I really enjoyed it. Since then I've played it a lot and made a few characters to playthrough with. Recently I started playing FO3 and I'm really enjoying it. I tried playing it before but always got frustrated by the slow movement and stuff. Eventually I would stop playing. This time I've put about 40 hours into my character. I'm level 20 and pretty far in the main questline. I just escaped Raven Rock. One thing I've noticed is that Deathclaws are considerably more powerful than in Fallout 4. In FO4 Deathclaws didn't bother me too much after I got into lvls 20s and 30s. I found them relatively easy to kill and less powerful than some other enemies (Granted I haven't played through on Survival difficulty yet. I'd imagine Deathclaws would get a bit scarier then). However in FO3 they kill my character after a couple of hits and they are pretty terrifying. I just got Vengeance out of Deathclaw Sanctuary and died like 5 times along the way lol. If I don't cripple the legs quick enough with the Dart Gun I'm pretty much fucked. [link] [comments]
What city or state would you most like to see in a future fallout game? Posted: 08 Aug 2018 10:36 AM PDT Personally I think Louisiana would offer up a great deal of unique gameplay with its swampy topography adjacent to New Orleans and the coast. [link] [comments]

Builds for a Legion playthrough Posted: 08 Aug 2018 02:52 PM PDT So I'm mentally preparing myself to actually go through siding with the Legion, and I was wondering if there were any build suggestions for a Legion character. The two I'm thinking at the moment is either a melee build, becoming a gung ho "great value" Legate Lanius and doubling down on the Roman aesthetic, or using a stealth build to become one of the Frumentarii spies as I imagine I'm not going to be very popular in the Mojave. I'm primarily looking for aesthetic over optimization, so I'd like to hear any neat ideas other people have. [link] [comments]
I don’t understand why people hate fallout 4 (coming from a NV fan) Posted: 08 Aug 2018 01:05 PM PDT NV is my favorite game in the franchise but I enjoyed fallout 4 a lot. I know the RPG elements in 4 were pretty shit and I 100% agree, but the game still has great gameplay, lore, and exploration. The main quest of 4 was pretty good (besides the awful "find Shawn" thing). It was so fun learning about Kellog and fighting the BOS in their ship (forgot the name sorry) in the railroad quest line. I also loved invading the institute and staging a coup with the other synths. Like I said I still prefer fallout NV any day but I hate how on the internet you can't enjoy multiple things, you have to love one and absolutely hate the other one. Why can't I like both Fallout 4 and NV?! [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 03:29 PM PDT My first survival mode, I decide to completely skip over the Minutemen and go straight to Diamond City because fuck Garvey. I go to the Cambridge Police Station to do some BoS quests (mainly for the free Laser Rifle and eventually Power Armor, i plan on siding with the Railroad for this playthrough). After completing Call To Arms and getting Danse's Laser Rifle, I notice that I have really bad Fatigue. Not to worry, I decide to sleep in one of the sleeping bags in the police station. Fucking hell, now I have Insomnia. I just said screw it and kept trudging to Diamond City. My next kick in the head is when I get to Trinity Tower. I'm ambushed by not only the fucking Raiders that were still shooting at me from the next alley over, but NOW I'm being buttfucked by super mutants and their dogs. I used up the last of my Stimpacks during Call to Arms, so I have to man up and some Cram I had in my inventory. Fuck my life, not only did I have insomnia, thirst, and a crippled head and leg, BUT NOW I HAVE SICKNESS. As you might expect this point, I'm fucked. I die and now I have to do go through it all again from fucking Cambridge. Ain't life grand? [link] [comments]
Been trying to get back into painting. Of course Fallout was my muse. Posted: 07 Aug 2018 05:54 PM PDT My fiance bought me some sets of paints for our anniversary and the first (and pretty much only) thing I thought of was Fallout. Started with some T-60 Power Armor, would like to do them all eventually.https://imgur.com/JvIQ7v4 4"x6.5" on only the finest of cheez-its box. [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Aug 2018 02:03 PM PDT I've had this issue ever since I bought FoNV and I can't find a fix to it other than making a new save every time I launch the game Is there another fix that can help? [link] [comments]
| I would like to make a text-based adventure game for the Terminals. I need your help. Posted: 08 Aug 2018 09:07 AM PDT Similar to the Reign of Grelok terminal from Fallout 3, I plan to create a text-based adventure game for the Fallout 4 terminal system. I've done some fair amount of research, and I don't see anyone else doing this for Fallout 4, at least not yet. However, my writing skills suck, and there's copyright problems with using old 80's text-based games like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, because those games are still being sold. Even ones that are not being sold, I feel like Bethesda would reject it due to using copyrighted material. I'm looking for story writers, game writers and just all around Fallout lore experts. | What vaults would you like to see in the upcoming games. Posted: 08 Aug 2018 06:39 AM PDT I would really like to see vault 77 aka one man and a crate of puppets or vault 43 the one with 20 men, ten women, and 1 panther. They could even make the panther a radiated boss. Does anyone have better suggestions? [link] [comments] |
Should I Buy Fallout: New Vegas? Posted: 08 Aug 2018 07:16 AM PDT I see it's on a mega sale right now, and I was thinking about picking it up. I've really only played Fallout 3, and even then I never got to play much as it was on a friend's computer. Is this a good starting point for someone new? Also should I get just the base game or the ultimate edition if I get it? Thanks! [link] [comments]
I have seen New Vegas is on sale for cheap, is it worth buying? Posted: 08 Aug 2018 11:30 AM PDT I'm fairly new to the franchise, I've played a lot of F4 (my first one) and loved it. I've barely F3 but disliked it (not because of the game) but I've not known much about NV. The most I've seen is from the occasional Oxhorn video. I would be picking up the ultimate edition too. What I'm asking is how well this game does in: -Story/lore -Combat mechanics -Replay value -Graphics (sorta, I know the game has aged) -Modding Thanks for any and all answers! [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Aug 2018 03:48 PM PDT First off, I accidentally found out online that Glory dies somehow (still haven't triggered the incident, I guess). Was she supposed to die during the Nuclear option? The Railroad didn't participate, for some reason, so she wasn't there. One of the dialogue options was, "I miss Glory too, Desdemona", which really confused me, as she's still in HQ. Was she supposed to already be dead somehow? I can't engage her in conversation, either. Is there something that broke during the last quest or that I did wrong? [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Aug 2018 09:24 PM PDT The Enclave Communications Officer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PqMe7fydq4 Honestly some of the best voice acting I've ever heard in a video game. Not to mention that some of his responses to your lines are...fantastic. [link] [comments]
Theory about Preston Garvey (short) Posted: 07 Aug 2018 04:54 PM PDT My theory is that no-one cares about theories on him. Would you agree? [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 05:19 AM PDT After completing Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4, I was sitting on my porch in 4 with all the sounds of my settlers and Dogmeat rolling in the mud, my floating sentry bot humming menacingly as it bobbed across my screen, and I reflected back on my recent time spent in the wasteland and how it all fitted together in the lore. My Lone Wanderer kicking about adventuring in some uncharted part of the Wasteland with his own dogmeat (lol), all kinds of progress happening in a new, NCR Vegas, the wasteland slowly rebuilding from East to West. Clean water, democracy and a constantly growing fight for good in a sea of bad, all while my character sits and sips his Nuka Cola and bourbon outside a beat up gas station in Boston after uniting the whole Commonwealth under a flag of security. Here's a tune that popped into my head while I mulled over my virtual journey. Good luck to all of you on yours! See you in West Virginia! PS Just casually leaving out the fact that my Fallout 3 character was an unapologetic child slaver. He fixed the ecosystem, it can be overlooked. [link] [comments]
