Has anyone else recently fallen back in love with Minecraft after years of not playing? Posted: 07 Jul 2018 08:18 AM PDT I've played Minecraft since alpha, and I stopped playing the game right around the time horses were added. I'm not sure what turned me off, but it was most likely a combination of the terrible community on sites like Youtube and new features I thought were unnecessary. Recently after picking the game back up with my best friend (who also had the same falling-out with Minecraft as I had) I noticed I enjoyed it far more. Things that used to annoy me don't anymore. Had anyone else had that experience? [link] [comments]

The Phantom as a Purely Ender Mob Posted: 07 Jul 2018 08:54 AM PDT At one point in 1.13's developement, the Phantom was going to be an End creature. But as we all know, the mechanics of the mob just weren't compatible with the End and it was re-branded as an undead creature for the Overworld. The Endactyl is a flying hostile mob native to the outer End islands. Somewhat of a lesser Ender Dragon, this monster will swoop in and blast you with a cloud of dragon's breath. However, you can freshen this monster's breath with a lingering potion aimed right in the mouth. And maybe the Endactyl won't be so bad after that! Mojang's decision to sacrifice the phantom as an Ender mob was a pretty good one. But a more proper creature can always take the place that the now undead ghoul left behind. [link] [comments]
