This is something I've though about for a long time. Melee as a game would be way less popular if fox/falco weren't the best* characters.

The fact is that in every game there is a best character. If you had to pick one character out of all of melee to be the best... it'd probably be fox. Why? He's combo food, He's hard to play, and he's fun to play against (for the most part).

I truly believe this is why melee has had such great staying power.

Thoughts?

*i know falco vs marth is close for #2 and some people believe puff is also up there.

He was top 20 in pgr v3 but he was absent in v4 and hasnt been in any major tournament since last summer so im just wondering what ever happened with him as ive recently gotten into smash and i really enjoyed watching his villager? Thanks in advance!
