| What has been your biggest Jump Scare moment? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 06:12 PM PST I've always played with friends but recently I tried to give 7 days SP a try. I was mining under my house for some stone, when my stone axe broke. Thinking it was a good time to stop, I went upstairs to grab some food but as I went through my mine entrance, a zombie slapped me in the face. I've never jumped so hard from a video game before. I got such a shock that I hit my knee under my desk, my eyes started watering, and I thought I had a heart attack at 23. Not to mention I also accidentally opened about 50 different menus and crafted a few stone axes trying to sprint away. [link] [comments] | ||

| What are some good base designs for collecting the maximum amount of loot / corpses on Horde night? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 07:44 PM PST My default go to base is usually a box under ground with the ceiling flush with the ground above and a 3x3 pit the zombies can fall in to. They land on spikes and I can whack them through pillars with my club but I lose pretty much all the corpses and loot in the process. I like to play with my horde size bumped up to 128 or higher so I need something that will allow me to kill the zombies in a huge area so I can collect all the corpses once the sun rises. | [XBOX1] [1.0.18.0] Disassemble Chainsaw for Minibike Parts? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 08:54 PM PST Peace be with you, fellow rugged survivors & stout castle builders. I am approaching day 70 and cruising along, thanks be to God, playing on the Navezgane map. I live in the Northeast corner, where the forest and snow biomes meet, in a fortress built in the air atop 5-block-tall cobblestone pillars with scrap metal spikes underneath, iron bars on the floor that I can shoot down through, and a scrap iron hatch on the floor that I can open and throw pipe bombs down through. I have found the pipe bombs to be effective at clearing groups of zombies out from underneath my fortress on a horde night without doing significant damage to my spikes or the cobblestone pillars upon which the fortress rests. <WARNING: DO NOT attempt to throw a pipe bomb down through iron bars, it will not pass through. Hence the necessity of the scrap iron hatch /END WARNING>. My fortress is accessed via a super-mario-style stepping-staircase of blocks, and then a removable 3-block-long drawbridge of wooden frames that connects the staircase with the fortress. In my walled-off farm, accessible at night from my fortress, I grow hops, potatoes, aloe, corn, coffee, mushrooms, blueberries, and yucca. I'm hoping our gracious designers will include cannabis in a future release. For now, I brew beer and sell it to the trader, and I dine well on vegetable stew & goldenrod tea. The occasional deer kill is quickly converted into meat stew and saved. During my last session, I scavenged a chainsaw for the first time, and I see that its component parts include handlebars and an engine. I already have a minibike chassis in the inventory. I've never had a chainsaw before, and I've never built the minibike. This is the furthest I have gotten in the game. My question for you, gracious redditors, is this: can I disassemble the chainsaw and use those parts to complete my minibike? I understand I also need a headlight. If I do disassemble the chainsaw for parts, what am I giving up? The ability to harvest wood really fast and tear through zombies at melee range? I prefer to fight the dead safely from range, crossbow or pistol followed up by knife when they go down (3x stun damage). The minibike will allow me to fly across the map and harvest rare resources from distant places - seems far more useful than the chainsaw. Thoughts? Input? Suggestions? God bless you and keep your castle, and may the undead crash against your spikes like waves on the beach, only to be dissipated and scattered. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 09 Jan 2018 06:25 PM PST So I went ahead and picked this game up with some friends because it looked like a good goofing around game for us all on PS4. And I am having a lot of trouble having a bare minimum amount of fun. I was prewarned from another post I made about the wonky controls, and boy are they wonky, and the UI trouble. But I can't go a day without dying and losing what meager things I have grabbed. Dogs come out of nowhere and slaughter us. The hit detection is absolutely atrocious so we can't kill or even hit anything. Every time we die our characters get weaker making the trouble of getting better even harder. The farthest we have been able to get without giving up and resetting is like day 4 when we all wiped from various reasons and lost everything and gave up. Does this ever get better??? We aren't bad gamers and are used to the early survival game hardships thanks to ark, but this is ridiculous. [link] [comments] | ||
| A few questions on Starvation Mod Posted: 09 Jan 2018 04:18 PM PST I just installed the starvation mod because I like the idea of more of more content and challenge, but I had a few questions.
Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] | ||
| Help please on (PC) How do I get blacksmith hammer in Ravenhearst Mod? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 04:14 PM PST I have the blacksmithing station unlocked? Built the station but can't fofure out how to get the blacksmith hammer? I have all the required materials? Thanks for the help! [link] [comments] | ||
| Half of base destroyed -- Bug? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 10:12 AM PST A few friends and I started playing 7 Days over the weekend. Host's game crashed, we relaunch game, when we did half of our base was destroyed. It's like half of our house was reset to an earlier state and all original architecture/trees/garbage had respawned. Is this a bug, or perhaps we built out of the game's bounds due to building a base on top of a house? Thoughts? [link] [comments] | ||
| Golden Scythe Tool for PC (XML) Posted: 09 Jan 2018 03:07 PM PST The Scythe is a tool I have been working on to provide a quick way to clear grass and other small foliage without being too overpowered. I didn't want to install an entire mod pack and was fairly comfortable just editing the XML. However, I want it to damage only objects, not mobs. I need help with the XML to remove the mob damage component out, if even possible. Please note that the recipe is tailored so that the Forged Steel recipe is required to craft it. This was to discourage myself and friends from using it as an early-game harvesting tool. Thanks in advance. items.xml recipes.xml [link] [comments] | ||

| What version is the console running? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 01:21 PM PST Just curious how up to date the console version is compared to PC. My base collapsed last night (lost all my stuffs) and I'm trying to find structural integrity/base building tips on my current version of 7dtd on Xbox 1. Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 09 Jan 2018 09:25 AM PST I ended my game last night while still on my minibike. Now when I load my game up the Minibike is gone... I can see the white symbol on the map and when I walk near it my character makes a climbing sound and stands on top of it but I can't interact with it. Anyone else have this problem and found out a solution? [link] [comments] | ||

| Crafting stations and normal crafting exp question. Posted: 09 Jan 2018 10:53 AM PST Hi guys, quick question. I know that in order to gain exp from the Forge, Workbench, Campfire and Chemistry Station, you need to have them open while crafting. My question. Is can I still get experience from my normal player crafting menu, while using any of the secondary work stations? Exampling being: Let's say I start crafting something like 2,000 wooden spike traps in my normal player inventory. Can I then open up the forge and start crafting say 1,000 forged steel and gain experience from both the wooden spike traps and the forged steel at the same time? In this scenario, the forge will be open the whole time. [link] [comments] | ||
