Wraithyn / Weak3n Appreciation Post (long post)

Too often (especially as of late) on r/Smite we see posts about our community streamers and content creators and we tend to focus on the negative aspects. So I wanted to take the time to post something about a recent act of generosity by two of our best streamers, Wraithyn and Weak3n.

My son is an aspiring streamer (waiting the 2 years to reach the Twitch age requirement of 13) that has taken a huge interest in my following of both these amazing guys. A few months back he and I had made plans to purchase some of their merch and make the trip down to HRX in January so he could meet them and get their autographs. Unfortunately, when the venue and date changed to November it put a huge wrinkle in that plan as we wouldn't be able to attend due to prior engagements the week of Dreamhack.

I reached out to Wraithyn to let him know that we wouldn't be able to make it, but would still purchase the merch and be willing to ship to each of them for the signatures and provide a return package for them to send it back. Wraith's response was "Hold on, gimme a minute." Not more than 30 seconds later I get a DM back on Wraith's discord "Dude don't worry about it, we are shipping you out some stuff. Just give us time to arrange it." To my utter amazement Wraith had directly contacted Weak3n and got things rolling out of genuine kindness.

And today my son received a package with a Wraithyn "Reggie Logo" tank top, a Into the AM Weak3n logo shirt, and an Into the AM Wea3n logo hoodie. As well as a signed note from Wraithyn. No cost to me.

These guys are amazing, and extremely active in the community. I wanted to publicly thank both of them for their amazing generosity and support of one their youngest fans (and possibly their oldest as well). While at the same time providing r/Smite with some much needed positivity in regard to our content creators.

TL/DR - Good guy streamers Wraithyn and Weak3n support a young boy's dreams to be in the industry through a simple act of kindness. Let's all remember our content creators do good things too.

How did this become this?

I feel like the community kinda got cheated out of the Tier 5 since WE didn't choose the concept this time, how did YOU choose a concept you couldn't fully execute in game!? I think quite a few people want their vote back as this is not the skin the community signed up for.

T5 Announcer Pack

Let that sink in as an idea.

Not the T5 skins as an announcer, no, but an evolving announcer pack.

Edit: An idea I'd like to throw out there is that this announcer pack would be super fleshed out in the sense that it would act like a story tree. As in, if you get kills it would be more hype and more serious, if you assist it acts more supportive and relaxed, and if you die a lot it gets melancholic but still tries to cheer you up. And as the game goes on and your kda fluctuates, it changes to match.

Would take ages to make (like a T5) but would be super cool to listen to.

For those who aren't familiar, these carries are able to shoot 4 times before needing to reload. I really like how unique this type of kit is and would love to see something like this in Smite.

 

Here are some brief descriptions of their passives -

 

Jhin's basic attacks use ammunition and his attack speed cannot be improved except through growth by level-up, and his attack speed growth is classified as base attack speed. Jhin can attack 4 times before having to reload for 2.5 seconds, and does so automatically after 10 seconds of neither attacking nor using an ability.

 

Revenant's Hand Cannon only holds 4 bullets, after the fourth bullet is fired Revenant automatically reloads Hand Cannon. Bonus Attack Speed decreases reload speed but doesn't affect fire rate.

 

I'm not too involved in different mythologies so I won't be able to provide a good example, but I imagine having a god who throws knives/daggers that can hold 4/5 at a time before needing to "reload". They could design another character with a bow that holds a group of arrows Robin Hood style and fires them off individually, but I think it would be more interesting to see something more unique (than another hunter wielding a bow) for having such a cool passive. Anyone have any thoughts on a kit or god that this passive would be great for?
