| Posted: 22 Dec 2017 05:08 PM PST There was a post linking to a twitch stream showing two players using a new sophisticated fish bot. This bot is unlike others and has the potential to really hurt the in-game economy if it's usage were to become as widespread as common fishbotting programs. Not only were the names of the two players easily viewable, but the video clearly showed what makes this bot different from others. Not only could that video have caused a witch hunt, but I was personally worried that a video demonstrating this more sophisticated fish bot would encourage others to seek it. It's in the best interest of the entire community if we limit information on this new fish bot until Pearl Abyss and Kakao find a solution. I have forwarded the video, along with an explanation of how this fish bot is different than others, directly to the community management team. Please report any thread linking to twitch clips of fish bots, linking to external websites that have information on these fish bots, or comments asking/giving for others to contact them regarding these new fish bots. In my personal opinion, this bot has the potential to be as damaging to the economy as the shoveling exploit. An exploit of that size would cheapen the integrity of the game and the hard work we've all put into our accounts. I am not good at formatting, so please bear with me. I might just change the post to link to a google doc. If you have any questions to ask, please ask in the comments and I will do my best to answer and then add it into the post. English is not my native language so forgive any minor mistakes I make, I'd be happy to fix any spooted. The black spirit is your god. http://dulfy.net - All the updates! 3 TYPES of play STARTING the game, I can break it down into three sections - PvE (Player VS Environment - such as killing mobs, doing quests, overall grinding [ term used in constant repetition of an action to obtain X ] )m PvP (Player VS Player) and Lifeskilling (Non-combat or extremely easy combat) Gear wise, there are 4 kinds of gear White - Trash Green - Common items, you will use these before the final tier. Blue - Rare, most people skip this as it is a money hole Boss/Yellow - RareNG , the BiS(Best in slot) for most situations. Nodes - Landmarks on the map with various uses depending on the type of node e.g City nodes have storages, repair, vendors, marketplace while farms have... farms. The first thing you will do, and the main thing you will likely do for a while (At least until 50, at 49 or so you can do a quest given by the Black Spirit to advance towards 50 [keep in mind that after 50, open world pvp is a thing but usually wont be an issue]) Characters have multitudes of stats, For Lifeskilling, focus on Contribution Points (Earned by Quests, Poorly Prepared Dishes, events, and Daily Quests) and Energy (Earned by Quests, gaining knowledge by killing monsters or exploring areas/meeting new people) For PvX focus on Health, Ap, DP + Accuracy and Evasion. PvE PvE and PvP fits into active playstyles, requiring your attention and active play. Active PvE is what you'll do for a while, Active PvE is one of the best money making methods you can do until you set up your Worker Empire and rank up your Lifeskills . Increasing your character's overall power is the goal for those who enjoy the PvE aspect of the game - and PvP as well. To upgrade your weapons and armor, you'll need to use Blackstones obtained from events, monsters, or the marketplace to upgrade your gear to +15 - afterwards there is a special set of items called the Concentrated stones to grab a chance at PRI (+16) , DUO(+17), TRI(+18), TET(+19), PEN(+20) with exponentially harder difficulty as time passes. Accessories can be upgraded by using both of the same kind together, and without Cron Stones purchased from General Goods stores, the accessories will blow up on failure - using Cron Stones will pretty much guarantee your accessories safety but can only be used on DUO accessories or higher at a hefty price tag. The reason why most people gather various logs (Fir/acacia IMO is best for logs and Pilgrim's Haven for Rough Stone [extremely important item]) is to receive both the base material Logs + Rough stone, and to get Hard/Sharp crystals used to make the Concentrated stones we talked about. https://saarith.com/bdo-gathering-guide/ Fishing can be an active skill, but I am not experienced with this. Passively, you can afk fish at a stream by equipping a rod, right clicking, and going to bed. https://saarith.com/bdo-auto-fishing-guide/ Trading is a very in depth topic but for a basic summary, you take Trade items and then haul ass miles away to try to convince another Trade Manager that they're worth more than they are. http://blackdesertanalytics.com/guides/crate-trading-faq/ Training is very P2W from what I understand and it involves feeding your horses tons of carrots and exercise in hopes that they breed a superior Aryan race. Sailing has no particular usage of right now. Hunting is an area I am also not knowledgeable in, but Mariners and Hunters (Whale hunters and Khalk hunters) seem to have lots of fun. Basically, you look at alerts on your screen to where people are, get yelled at by your squad if you arent putting down DPS, and try to harvest their versions of Ivory to make accessories and potions sought by many adventurers. http://dulfy.net/2016/07/01/black-desert-hunting-and-whaling-life-skill-guide/ Passive lifeskilling can only be done , more or less, when you have a functioning Worker Empire - that is, NPC's who are hired by you who stay at Lodges at towns which you purchase and build http://dulfy.net/2016/03/01/black-desert-node-management-and-hiring-workers-basic-guide/ Processing, fishing, cooking, alchemy, and farming are passive life skills. Processing - is a skill used to Create material from other material . The higher level of your processing, the better chance of multiplying the product. Cooking has a nice way to obtain side dishes to turn in for Contribution Points. Cooking is most popularly used in tandem with Gathering as many of the "Bottleneck resources" i.e difficult to obtain from the marketplace and must be gathered manually, like Meats and Milk can be obtained by Gathering. Alchemy is much like cooking, but you are a mad scientist trying to create potions for yourself, or to create some potion addictions for combat adventurers. I'm writing this post to let you know, that i'm no longer working on the bddatabase.net and moved the site to the new domain: http://bdocodex.com. If you are wondering, why the name of the site was changed, here what's happened. My partner, with whom we were running our sites, decided, that he will run them without me. In the very beginning, when we were making this and other our sites, i was too busy making the site's engine and let him to register the domain names of the sites on his name. This was a big mistake. A few days ago he kicked me out by changing the passwords everywhere. However, i'm the actual coder of the site's engine and all the tools related to the parsing of the game data, while he was only making the site's design and doing some miscellaneous tasks i was giving him. Honestly, i don't know, what he was thinking, because without me he can't update or develop the sites further. But that's in the past now. I've registered a new domain name bdocodex.com, got myself new powerful server and moved the site here. Everything was copied here from the old site, with the exception of the forum and it's user names. The passwords were changed unexpectedly and i didn't had a recent copy of the database. Sorry about that, guys. Everything else was located on my development PC and now is here on this new server, including the comments, screenshots and skill builds. As usual you can expect from me weekly updates, fast response on your bug reports and further development of the site! P.S. Posted: 23 Dec 2017 02:55 AM PST I recently started trying to re-download bdo due to wanting to come back to it for a bit while I was waiting for bless online. But I kept getting a .pap failure and the solution to that was to remove a specific file. After removing it, It fixed my issue and the game downloaded quite a bit yesterday but I had to leave to do something so I turned the download off. Reopened it tonight and its been file-checking for like, an hour now? (I can tell it was file checking cause the speed was like triple my internets speed.) Is it going to do this everytime I open my launcher now? ' Is there a way to skip it? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 23 Dec 2017 07:19 AM PST Well I want to reroll from my DK and I just got a Kzarka box, and I have to choose my new class now. I'm considering witch or striker but I'm not sure what to choose, I'm only interested in pvp. Striker is stronger in 1v1 and witch is I suppose better in gvg right? I've seen strikers be on top in kills in t3 nodewars/siege so they are definitely very strong, and from fighting them myself I know they are insanely tanky and you can have a pack of players on them and somehow they get away. Are there any strikers here who could share their experience in large scale and tell me what their class can do? How do the top guilds value strikers? Are they considered on the same level as witch, wizard or valk in gvg? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 23 Dec 2017 06:03 AM PST I own lot of +EXP Items. Tea, Scrolls, Event Items, Elixirs also +2 Movement Items like T-Bone Steak. So, i suggest additional texts or a similar mechanic, that indicates what stacks or was does not. Couple of days i wantet to stack Movement Speed. Used Meat Sandwich and T-Bone Steak, T-Bone Steak overwritten the Meat Sandwich with additionally 200 Stamina - wasted. I guess there are similar other items to with +EXP effects. GM's Blessing, +10% Skill EXP and the Scroll "Extra Skill EXP Scroll", does it stack?! GM's Blessing does not count as a Pearl Item but the Scroll also includes within the description: This effect cannot be stacked. Currently its really confusing what works and what does not work.
