Cool fact about PUBG in China Posted: 21 Dec 2017 06:54 AM PST So I'm currently in China, trying to build a PC for PUBG. Searching Taobao for video cards (equivalent of Amazon and eBay all rolled into one) and constantly seeing "吃鸡" meaning "eat chicken". Titles saying "吃鸡显卡！" or "eat chicken graphics card!" and questions like "可以吃鸡吗？" aka "can I eat chicken?" with responses of "of course!" For about three days I was completely oblivious on what the hell these people were talking about, chalking it up to internet slang. Until I remembered winner, winner chicken dinner. Apparently the win screen was translated as well to "大吉大利，晚上吃鸡!" or Great fortune, eat chicken tonight!
