Posted: 21 Dec 2017 07:07 AM PST Seems like a handful of youTubers have suddenly decided the Eververse store is literally ruining Destiny. It's a head scratcher for me, since the only interaction I've ever had with the place is picking up amusing cosmetic items every other day from bright engrams that drop in my lap just from playing. There's never been anything there that would compel me to spend real world money, and so I never have. But even assuming the skin to end all skins suddenly appeared...and was exclusively available via credit card...it still wouldn't affect the actual game one iota. So if the very presence of the Eververse microtransactions is ruining Destiny for some, I have to wonder what it is these players are looking for in their Destiny experience. When an easily ignored booth in the tower even warrants mention as a detriment to the game, it honestly seems like good ol' fashioned sour grapes. Bitter fans who've been taught to associate profit with greed and corruption. Unfortunately, when you're actively looking for new corporate dragons to slay, every negative is amplified tenfold. I would recommend that anyone even remotely concerned about cosmetic microtransactions make a concerted effort to remember why they play Destiny at all. [link] [comments]

After seeing a post on 9gag, stomping the last Jedi, I suddenly get it Posted: 20 Dec 2017 11:41 PM PST The people of the internet are just hopelessly divided, polarized and opinionated... Destiny 2 would have had the same toxic storm it has now in any situation that was not a direct copy of D1, with improvements. Even then the masses would have asked why they payed again for the same game. Its inevitable. Loved the movie btw, as I do the game (D2) [link] [comments]
Friendly reminder to those doing heroic strikes: Posted: 21 Dec 2017 03:34 AM PST Rushing forward through millions of mobs that your allies cant get past doesn't save you time when you all die because of it. Be a teamplayer, and don't rush ahead of your team. If you want them to hurry, better to help them out with killing some trash if they get stuck. EDIT: Not trying to say you're not allowed to rush, or shouldn't rush to the boss. Im all for it. But try to rush with your teammates if you're not close to the boss. [link] [comments]

Felt that Christmas Spirit Today Posted: 21 Dec 2017 05:25 AM PST I, like many of us, have been working my way through the daily schematics and for the second day in a row I had to find 10 Dusklight. Dusklight, you know, the only planetary drop that is nigh on impossible if you don't have the right nobby Ghost. However today some wonderful happened, other players were also stuck on that Dusklight grind at the Sludge, and were shooting other Guardians to alert them to a find. It felt nice that although I couldn't communicate to other Guardians (other than to play dead or do the YMCA dance), we could all still work together to get through the goran slog . I think this is the first time in Destiny 1 or 2 that I've seen Guardians work like that. [link] [comments]
