If you're in a slump, clean your mousepad! Posted: 03 Dec 2017 03:08 PM PST Okay, I know this is different for everybody, but seriously this has been helping me for around 2 weeks now. Just a little context, I've been in a slump for around 4-5 months. My highest was SMFC, but I literally deranked to DMG / LE. I thought "i guess i hit my ceiling" and I thought i was absolute shit at the game and that i'd never improve. I was getting ready to quit. During this time period, my mouse felt really "sluggish." My brain kind of noticed it, but I didn't really think it was a problem or THE problem. However, two weeks ago I was bored, and I noticed the sluggishness again. It feels somewhat like I'm kind of dragging my mouse through mud or dirt. I was curious and searched it up, and 90% of the replies said to wash your mouse pad. I spent about 10 minutes washing it with soap, water and a sponge, and blow drying it. Holy shit. When people said that the difference was "pretty noticeable" I was like "meh, probably a waste of time" Until I felt how fucking insane this shit is. A dirty mouse pad feels like absolute shit now and I don't think I can ever go back. It's like playing a whole new game.
