Hotfix: Enemy HP Improvement / 2018 Content Livestream Posted: 22 Dec 2017 09:53 AM PST HP Balance Hotfix As some of you may have noticed, many monster HP values – especially those of some of our higher level enemies – were increased significantly following one of our more recent patches. While increasing the challenge posed by the game's most fierce creatures was an intended design choice, the extent of the increase and abruptness with which it was applied was unintentional. To remedy this problem, we are deploying a patch now to reduce these values to much more reasonable levels. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. To illustrate these changes, here are a few points of reference: Level 60 Infernal Dragon HP Pre-Patch: 66,000 Level 60 Infernal Dragon HP Post-Patch 34,800 Level 60 Pyrant HP Pre-Patch: 55,000 Level 60 Pyrant HP Post-Patch: 29,000 Level 60 Giant HP Pre-Patch: 15,400 Level 60 Giant HP Post-Patch: 8,120 As you can see, we've greatly reduced the health of these monsters to make the experience of battling them a lot less tedious. The bigger enemies were always intended to be tackled by multiple players, but we found that with the old health values even a group of level 60 players would struggle. We hope these changes should bring the experience of fighting these creatures back in line with our intended balance. As always, we'd like to thank you for sharing your feedback and exercising patience as we've worked to resolve this issue! We'll continue to monitor the balance of these values as we go forward, and are excited to continue supporting the game with bug fixes, balance changes and new content in the new year. 2018 Content Q&A Livestream Join us later today for a first look at farming! We'll be playing with a super early build of the farming system and taking questions from the chat. www.twitch.tv/playcitadel |
