Up until a couple months ago, I was somewhat active on gta.wikia.com. I'm a bit of a grammar Nazi, at least for the big things (spelling, punctuation, etc.), so I'd go around and clean up where I could. Occasionally I'd fix inaccurate information. The site gave me a lot of valuable and generally accurate information, so why not give back, right?

Just before the Gunrunning update came out, I came across this line in the Trivia section of the update's page:

The DLC's release of June 13 is likely a reference to the many historic and recent warfare and military events, particularly the events during World War II, the United State's withdrawal from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty, and the bombing of Al Askari Mosque, that fell on this day.

Well, that was clearly speculation and had not been marked as such, and so I removed it without a second thought, noting in the edit history that a citation was necessary. A couple days later, however, I returned to the page to check if any new details had come to light about the update. Curiously, that 'trivia' had been added back in. Thinking that either a bot or someone overly protective of their inaccurate information had undone my edit, I simply removed it again. No big deal, things happen. A couple days later, the same thing happened. I removed it again, and later I had been issued a three-day ban for "Edit warring".

Naturally, I was kinda irritated by this and told the crew I'm in (/r/GTAA) about it through our Discord server. Those there at the time agreed: the information is inaccurate and should be removed. One of them, /u/MilhouseJr, even went in and removed that line of trivia himself. Soon thereafter, he was issued a permanent ban for "Abusing multiple accounts". The ban was issued by a Bureaucrat-level admin on the GTA Wiki. In the interest of avoiding a witch-hunt, I'll call him MP. This same guy was the one who had initially banned me -- and the same one who had reverted my edits. I checked my own account and found that, lo and behold, I too had a permanent ban for the same reason.

I am not /u/MilhouseJr, whose gamertag is Scourgey and Wikia username is MilhouseJr. I'm /u/FortePiano96, gamertag and Wikia name of CupOfMorningJoe. We're two separate and distinct people. MP assumed we were the same person using an alt account and banned both of us.

Scourgey reached out to MP through Social Club (because after a ban there's no way to contact the admins through Wikia, even though that's what the ban page encourages you to do. That may be a Wikia thing, or it could be isolated to just the GTA wiki). Somehow through their conversation, he was unbanned...then re-banned a few days later. I reached out through Social Club as well, and received no response for 15 days.

Well, no response until today, when in the course of Scourgey and MP's conversation both of us were blocked by him. I can't speak for Scourgey, but I assure you, my message was respectful and forthcoming. Hell, I'll upload a screenshot I took before being blocked if there's any desire for that.

I'm not pissed off about the initial ban. Yeah, I suppose it was edit warring (though it does take two to 'war'...are you going to ban yourself too, MP?). The issue here is that the admins at gta.wikia.com are inept and incompetent. They are happy to blindly ban without a shred of evidence and stick their fingers in their ears if information comes to light that's contrary to their judgment. They offer no recourse and accept no response. It's quite sad, actually. I had thought of the site as a straightforward and simple resource. It's disappointing that the behind-the-scenes are so shady.

English is my 3rd language, sorry for mistakes.

It would be a huge quality of life to play with friends if we had a party system.

For example, if a friend of mine joins my session the game would create a party automatically with both of us. Of course, give us an option to disable "automatic party".

On the party overlay we could have the option to automatically become associate if someone register as CEO/VIP. Join a Race/Missions lobby with the whole party and much more stuff.

When I get with my frineds on a session I have to invite everyone to be my associate.. Then I setup a mission, I have to invite everyone to join the lobby... Then invite everyone AGAIN. It's just INCONVENIENT.

This game is 99% perfect IMO, it lacks only in quality of life stuff, specially in the lobby, for example after a mission let us see the whole list of missions and pick, give the option to switch to races and see the list of races available without having to go to a session and then re launch the lobby... This kind of things, I think you got my point.

[PC] Bad stuttering.

My FPS on all high settings is around 90-100 FPS. But when I drive or move basically at all, I will start to stutter, driving is the worst, and it seems like the longer I play it the more it stutters but I'm not 100% positive on that yet. Any way to fix it? GTX 970 i7-4790k 8GB RAM

Can't access GTA V

So after spending about an hour trying to figure out how to download GTA V I managed to get a hold off the launcher but I can't seem to remember my password. I have tried to reset my password but today after waking up almost 15 hours later I still have not gotten an email to reset it. Is this normal? Is there any other way to contact their support?

Uhh, Sticky Bombs physics changed?

Has anyone noticed that the physics if throwing sticky bombs out of a car has changed since the past few updates. When driving and throwing forward Instead of the sticky bombs flying like twice the speed of the car like they always have, they kind of just realistically fall backwards. I mean, don't get me wrong, this is great when someone is trying to grief you, but not for the situations I end up in.

Is the empty-session issue fixed for anyone who was experiencing it about this same time last year?

My GTA V disc got destroyed a little while ago and I haven't played it since about this same time last year. And back when I did play it, every time I would join an online session, the entire lobby would immediately purge as soon as I got in and I would end up just playing alone, sometimes one or two people would still be there, and then it would time out.

This same exact problem was happening for a few of my friends that live closeby me and I'd seen it talked about a little bit on some forums, so I'm wondering if it was an issue for anyone else.

Looking to buy a new copy of the game, but want to know if this issue still persists or if it's been cleared up. On Xbox One if it helps at all.

Cargobob keeps disappearing outside vehicle wearhouse when ever I enter the wearhouse

I'm wanting to use if for deliveries but more often than not it disappears. Other times I get enough time to mod the car and it's still there. However it more recently disappears the second I go into the wearhouse. Is this a bug?

Hey guys, I have the PC version of the game. A few months ago I uninstalled the game, I did have a few mods installed like Redux, and Menyoo trainer, but I never used anything online as I dislike the online and RockStars greediness around it.
When I uninstalled it, I also went into the storage section of Windows 10 to free up some space and uninstalled the social club.

Yesterday I tried to reinstall the game so I could play again, I also wanted to try LSPDFR.

When I first intalled it I got to the social club loading, and it stopped there, It said that Offline mode is unavailable and some more BS about how I never authenticated my game on my new system (never got a new system)

So I tried multiple fixes including

-Uninstalling and reinstalling

-Verifying the game cache and files

-Deleting all files including those remaining from mods, uninstalled through steam and then reinstalled it.

-Tried to reinstall Social Club from the "installers" folder

-Using the update/social club file from the RockStar website that was intended for use with GTA V

-Deleting the RockStar folder from the documents.

-disabling my firewall

So I just checked the "launch options" and deleted "sc offline only" This brought me into the game itself, but then stopped and said that activation was required and it required an internet connection.

I have no idea why this is happening. I have submitted a support ticket, but In the mean time I wanted to seek help elsewhere.

Similar to how we got Vehicle Warehouses in the Import/Export DLC, do you think we will see any hangers for Aircrafts or other vehicles (pegasus or not) already in game or soon to be added? What about the Blue Doors in the bunkers? Will we see them be utilized within the coming weeks?

We have been getting all these updates over the past 4 years regarding CEO Offices, Biker, Import/Export, Heists, Stunt Races, and the latest one, Gunrunning. But how many updates does Rockstar have left in store? Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming out in less than a year and I guarantee you the cash cow will be shifting towards the games release and leaving GTA Online behind.
