| Posted: 19 Jun 2017 02:55 AM PDT It takes me like 2 games to play 10 elementals (unless I get molested by Aggro Druid of course), but to play 30 class cards you need 6 or more games. [link] [comments] | ||
| Why doesn't hearthstone have a way to report people other than in our friends list? Posted: 18 Jun 2017 10:18 PM PDT I finished a close game against an aggro Druid and they added me after. Thinking they wanted to talk about the game I added them but instead they said this https://m.imgur.com/n8axtEM I know this happens all the time when adding people but there should still be a way to report people after they delete you. My little cousins play this game and I don't want them to be possibly exposed to people like this if they happen to add them. [link] [comments] | ||
| What's your dirty Hearthstone confession? Posted: 19 Jun 2017 07:01 AM PDT We all have a dirty, sinful secret about Hearthstone. What's yours? Mine is that I love solitaire decks. Quest Rogue, Freeze Mage, Malygos Shaman...I love doing practically nothing for ten turns, then suddenly winning. I don't know why, it just does it for me. My favourite Hearthstone experience was that Tavern Brawl, where everything was 1/1 for 1. The miracle Priest deck was the most single player, most overpowered, and most incredible experience I've had in my 3+ years. [link] [comments] | ||
| First turn kill, and fastest non-FTK kills with each class. Posted: 19 Jun 2017 02:50 AM PDT I wanted to look at possible versions of the situations listed in the title for each class, for the fun of information. RNG manipulation is used for all of these possible outcomes. Many of these use Wild cards. First Turn Kills: All FTKs start the same way: Druid opponent went first, and innervated out a Millhouse Manastorm. (I avoided using the Grimestreet Informant for Paladin and Warrior, since you could theoretically get infinite damage for both by getting Lock and Load from it, and I also went for the highest possible damage I could think of with each combo) Mage: Cabalist Tome, into another Cabalist Tome and two damage spells, and continue this loop over and over. (Infinite Damage) Priest: Mind Vision twice for two Innervates from the Druid. Use both to play Lyra, then the coin to generate a Mind Blast, then infinitely loop Mind Blasts. (Infinite Damage) Warlock: Use coin to summon two Malchezaar's Imps, then use a Soulfire to discard a Fist of Jaraxxus, Druid for 8 damage, drawing another Soulfire and Fist. Cast Soulfire, discard fist, (16 damage so far) draw two Spreading Madness. Cast both Spreading Madness, hitting the Druid for 14 damage, and self for 4. (34 total damage) Druid: (hand starts with 2 Innervate, Coin, Fandral, and Nourish) Use coin+innervate to summon Fandral Staghelm, then play Nourish, drawing a Nourish, and two Raven Idols (2 mana and 4 cards). Nourish again, for two Savage Roars and an Evolving Spores (4 mana, 6 cards). Raven Idol for a Druid of the Saber and another Nourish, second idol for another Saber, and a third Raven Idol, use that for another Saber and fourth Idol, use that for another Saber and Nourish (4 mana, 10 cards). Innervate, then summon 3 of the Sabers (with Fandral, they're 3/2 stealth+charge), Nourish for another Evolving Spores, and two Whisps of the Old Gods, then summon fourth Saber, last Nourish for a Sabre from the deck and two Mark of the lotus, summon fifth Sabre (0 mana, 8 cards in hand). Evolving Spores 1 for +3 attack, Evolving Spores 2 for Windfury, play both Whisps of the Old Gods, and both Mark of the Lotus, then both Savage Roars, and attack with 5 Druid of the Saber. (164 total damage, including attack from hero) Druid 2: As listed by _GloryToTheHypnotoad, "Druid can FTK without [[Millhouse Manastorm]] going first or second. Turn 1 double [[innervate]], [[Barnes]], pulling out [[Aviana]]. Then play Yogg who [[Holy Wrath]]s enemy face twice pulling a [[Molten Giant]] from your deck each time. 50 damage turn 1." Hunter: Lock and Load, into infinite Kill Commands. Paladin: Play a Stonetusk Boar, then with the free mana on spells, Dinosize then Blessing of Kings on it(14/14), coin, Edit, as pointed out by allofthehues then Hammer of Wrath, into a second Hammer of Wrath, then Divine Favor with empty hand to draw two cards, second BoK (18/18), another Divine Favor for two cards, Blessing of Might (21/18), Lay on Hands self for 3 cards, Lay on Hands again for 3 more cards (5 cards in hand now), another BoM (24/18), Adapt spell into Windfury, adapt spell again into +3 attack (27/18), Blessed Champion (54/18), Blessed Champion again (108/18 with Windfury), attack. (216 damage) Warrior: Play Upgrade, hit Millhouse, then an Ironforge Portal, summon a Kor'kron Elites, cast Whirlwind, and then Battle Rage to draw another Battle Rage and Explore Un'goro. Use Explore Un'goro, then Battle Rage for two "Discover a card". Use both to get a Rampage and Battle Rage, then cast Rampage on Kor'kron and Battle Rage for two more cards. Repeat 8 more times till you're down to your last 6 cards, then change to Battle Rage, Sudden Genesis, to Sudden Genesis 3 times. Should have 7, 31/29 Kor'kron Elites. (217 damage) Shaman: Start with Call in the Finishers, then use coin, evolve, evolve (making them all Acolyte of Pains), then Volcano (drawing 12 cards, milling 2 in the process), Ancestor's Call out a Malygos, then cast two Ancestral Spirit on it, followed by Reincarnate (giving you 3 Malygos). Then play two Finder's Keepers for two Ancestral Knowledge, then cast those with two Ancestral Knowledge from your deck, drawing two Crackle, two Lava Burst, two Jade Lightning, and two Lightning Bolt. Cast both Crackle (rolling 6s, with the +15 spell power), the other spells, and a Lava Shock you drew from the Acolytes. (137 damage) Rogue: (Cavern's Below, mimic pod, sprint, coin and southsea deckhand in hand), Caverns, mimic another mimic, use new mimic pod for thistle tea, then that tea for another tea (Mimic Pod, Sprint, Coin, Southsea Deckhand, and 4 Thistle Tea in hand). Play Deckhand, summon Patches from deck, Tea, get 3 Counterfit Coins, use coin plus counterfit to hero power, hit Druid with Deckhand and dagger (Mimic Pod, Sprint, 3 Thistle Tea, and 2 Counterfit Coins in hand). Thistle Tea, get Shadow Step, then use the shadowsteps to bounce the Deckhand, attacking each time, till you complete the quest. Play quest, hit with Deckhand on 4th bounce, and Patches, then mimic pod and get Gang Up, cast on Patches (Sprint, 2 Thistle Tea, and 2 Counterfit Coins in hand). Sprint, for two Vanish, Shadow Step, and an Eviscerate, then Evis face, shadowstep the Deckhand, replay, summoning 5 more Patches, attack face with all 6 minions (2 Vanish, 2 Thistle Tea, 2 Counterfit Coins in hand). Vanish, putting Deckhand and 3 Patches in hand, then use Counterfit Coins to summon two minions (spawning the last Patches from deck in the process), thistle Tea for three more Counterfit Coins, use those to summon two more minions from hand, attack with all 5 (Vanish, Thistle Tea, 1 Counterfit Coin in hand). Vanish, adding all 5 minions back to hand, then Thistle Tea for Hallucinate, then the three Hallucinate for two Innervates, and an Evolving Spores (Deckhand, 4 Patches, 2 Innervates, counterfit coin, and Evolving Spores). Counterfit, and both Innervates to summon all 5 minions, then Evolving Spores to adapt them all with Windfury. (122 total damage, and I imagine someone else could probably break this even more than I could) Rogue 2: If against another rogue, then coin Knife Juggler, then Counterfit Coin a Swashburgler, giving you a shadowstep, and repeating that loop is technically infinite damage, and I felt like it was worth mentioning. Non-FTK: The idea is to see how fast each class can kill their opponent without Millhouse, assuming perfect RNG, and the opponent doesn't kill any of your minions (without it being necessary). Mage: Turn 1 Mana Wyrm, turn 2 infinite Primordial Glyphs. (2 turns) Priest: (going second, starting with Radiant Elemental, Powerword: Shield, Inner Fire, coin, and Shadow Visions), turn 1, coin Radiant Elemental, then Powerword: Shield it to draw a second radiant elemental. Turn 2 (draw a Divine Spirit), second Radiant, then shadow vision a Divine Spirit, followed by casting two Divine Spirit plus Inner Fire on the first Radiant, and attacking. Turn 3, attack again. (3 turns) EDIT: As pointed out by SpookyBum in comments: Priest can kill in 2 turns t1 coin radiant. T2 PW shield PW shield divine spirit divine spirit inner fire holy smite their face and attack for lethal Warlock: (going second, starting with Bloodbloom, Bloodbloom, Kara kazha, Kara Kazam, and coin) Turn 1, coin Bloodbloom, Kara Kazam. Turn 2 (draw Soulfire), attack, and repeat turn 1. Turn 3 (draw PO), Power Overwhelming one of your minions, attack, enemy still has 8 health. Turn 4 (draw anything), attack. (4 turns) EDIT: As pointed out by Amaiakai in comments: turn1 soulfire face (26hp, summon silverware). turn2 draw PO, coin fledgling, attack with silverware (23 hp). turn3 draw anything, use both POs on fledgling (11/11), get windfury so you attack twice for 22 damage and attack with silverware for lethal Druid: (going second, starting with two Innervates, two Vicious Fledgelings, and coin) Turn 1, Innervate, Innervate, coin, summon both Fledgelings. Turn 2 (draw Mark of the Lotus), Mark of the Lotus, then attack, getting Windfury, then +3 attack on both. Turn 3 (draw anything), attack with both. (3 turns) Hunter: (going second, starting with 2 Alley cat, Crackling Razormaw, coin, and Scavenging Hyena in hand) Turn 1, coin out both Alley Cats. Turn 2 (draw Arcane Shot), summon Hyena, attack with all 4 Alley Cats. Turn 3 (draw kill command), Crackling Razormaw the Hyena, give it Windfury, kill off all 4 Alley Cats, Arcane Shot own Razormaw, and attack with Hyena twice. Turn 4 (draw anything), attack, hero power, or kill command, all work. (4 turns) Paladin: (going second, start with two Lost in the Jungle, a Blessing of Might, coin, and Lightfused Stegodon), turn 1, Lost in the Jungle. Turn 2 (draw second Stegodon), lost in the Jungle, Blessing of Might one of the first two guys, and attack. Turn 3 (draw anything), coin Stegodon, adapt for +3 attack and attack. Turn 4 (draw anything), attack. (4 turns) Warrior: (Going second, starting with N'zoth's first mate, Southsea Deckhand, Fiery War Axe, coin, and Heroic Strike) Turn 1, N'zoth, coin Southsea, get Patches from deck, attack with weapon, Southsea, and Patches. Turn 2 (draw Upgrade), Fiery War Axe, attack. Turn 3 (draw Heroic Strike), Upgrade and Heroic Strike, then attack. Turn 4 (draw anything), Heroic strike, attack face. (4 turns) Shaman: (Going second, starting with two Dust Devils, two tunnel troggs, and coin) Turn 1, coin out both Troggs. Turn 2 (draw anything), summon both Dust Devils, attack with Troggs. Turn 3 (draw anything), attack with all 4. (3 turns) Rogue: (going second against a Paladin, start with Edwin Vancleef, Preparation, Mimic Pod, Coin, and Coldblood) Turn 1, prep, mimic pod, get two Counterfit Coins, then use all 3 coins, play Edwin (as a 12/12), then use Coldblood on him (16/12). Turn 2 (draw Hallucinate), use Hallucinate, discover Adapt, use Adapt on Edwin, give him Windfury, attack twice. (2 turns) EDIT: As noted by Darghy in comments: Every class can non-FTK in 3 turns using murlocs without requiring any RNG: T1: Murloc Tidecaller, coin, Murloc Tidecaller T2: 2x Grimscale Oracle, hit face for 5+6 = 11 damage T3: Murloc Warleader, hit face for 8+9+4+4 = 25 damage, lethal. | Quest Idea: Monthly "Layered" Quests Posted: 19 Jun 2017 05:22 AM PDT I see a lot of frustration about the ability to earn gold (I experience it myself and find it quite off-putting in terms of progression), and while the devs do implement quests with higher gold income from time to time, it never seems to satisfy. Before I begin, I should state I am not a Reddit ninja, so I can't do all the fancy template stuff. Idea: A monthly quest given to all players set aside from the daily quests. Necessity: To fill a hole that may bring users into a more regular routine of playing while satisfying demands for gold income. Execution: On the first Monday of each month, players receive a special quest that unlocks the quest for the next week. Upon completing all four quests, players will be rewarded with a lump sum of gold. Reward: Initial thoughts point towards 1000 gold (equivalent to ten days of 30 wins), but perhaps 750-800 is more reasonable. Examples: Special Quest Part One: You have been chosen to train under (Hero)! Win ten games as (Hero) to unlock Part Two next Monday. Part Two: You have been deemed worthy of tutelage and now (Hero) wants to see your ability to hold your own! Deal X Damage (let's say 300 for example's sake) using (Hero) to unlock Part Three next Monday. Part Three: You have really impressed (Hero)! (Hero) now wants to test your true might! Defeat (Hero) 10 times as (Hero) to unlock Part Four next Monday. Part Four: You have proven to be a true master. (Hero) has nothing left to teach you, however, (Hero) does not deem you fit to take (Hero)'s place just yet. Defeat each other class as (Hero) three times to receive your Reward (750-1000 gold). The Benefits: This method of questing fits right in line with the Warcraft Quest-line themes. As such, it should be both rewarding and challenging. There should be an increase in difficulty per week to encourage players to refine their skills. As it is a monthly quest with weekly updates, it would encourage players to engage in the game more frequently (benefitting Blizzard as well as players) to obtain that generous lump sum of gold (benefitting all players). The Result: A more active playerbase including professionals and casual players alike through a time-sensitive quest progression. The Negatives: As it is time-sensitive, players who do not receive the quest in the first week will not be eligible to participate for the rest of the month (this will have no change to the current formula). Players who do not complete the quest "layer" by the end of the week will also lose out on the progression for the remainder of the month as well as the reward that comes with it. Synopsis: As this quest is entirely optional based on activity, it would be a "no harm, no foul" operation. Casual players who do not wish to participate do not lose their experience while more diehard players are rewarded for participation. Additionally, the rewards could be very fluid and range from a lump some of gold to a golden legendary to a bundle of packs or even a hero portrait. The Quest line would not necessarily have to adhere to the examples mentioned above but it would allow freedom for a more intricate "pathing" for quests that could be both frustrating and enjoyable. It also adds another tier of playability to the game to coincide with the seasons apart from "rush to legend". I am completely open to criticisms about the idea, but I would prefer if they were constructive. This game even with all of its expansions, adventures, brawls, and updated quests still feels very stagnant in a rewarding experience. Let me know what you think and thank you for taking the time to read all of this! [link] [comments] | ||

| Best possible result of Firelands Portal + Atiesh? Posted: 18 Jun 2017 11:37 PM PDT So I was playing some control mage, and I used firelands portal with Atiesh equipped. What happened next was probably my luckiest moment in ~10 months of playing Hearthstone... Tundra Rhino for the 5 cost minion and Swamp King Dred for the 7 cost! Look at that synergy! Immediate 11 damage to face (16 if you count the firelands), plus 11/14 in stats and the benefit of Dred's ability, all for 7 mana. Talk about value. This got me thinking about the best possible outcome from Firelands+Atiesh. Looking through all of the 5 and 7 drops, there are only a few outcomes that could arguably be better than this and none of them have the same synergy or immediate impact. (For the sake of this analysis, I assumed one or both of the minions will get cleared during your opponents next turn since you pretty much autowin if they both survive; and Firelands Portal is played at full mana, meaning you have 3 mana to work with after): -Hallazeal + Prophet Velen: If you have direct damage spells in your hand for under 3 mana this combo is unreal; frostbolts that deal 6 and heal you for 6, roaring torches that deal 12 and heal you for 12, etc. If you don't have any of those spells you won't get immediate value, however. -Lyra the Sunshard + Archmage Antonidas: Depending on your Lyra rolls you could pretty much get infinite fireballs, but you need a <3 mana spell in hand to cast after Firelands and Lyra needs to give you very cheap spells to get additional value. -Earth Elemental/White Eyes + Bog Creeper/Tar Lord: Just a fat wall of taunts. Could win you the game in the right matchups (midrange) but useless in others (decks with lots of burn). Rhino + Dred is the only combo that has direct synergy, is good against nearly every matchup, and gives you their full benefits without requiring any additional cards to play. So, did I get the best possible Firelands+Atiesh outcome? Or are there some combinations I've overlooked? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 19 Jun 2017 02:40 AM PDT i was excited with that arena run, i only got 9 wins 3 or 4 times... but that rewards makes me feel too much pain in the ass Blizzard should delete common cards from arena rewards. [link] [comments] | ||

| [Suggestion] Can we have an option to set opponents squelched by default ? Posted: 18 Jun 2017 06:31 PM PDT I am tired. Almost every time I play against pirate warrior or quest rogue they start spamming emotes. Add the feeling of helplessness which often occur when playing against these decks and you will understand what I feel when they emote me. So I always squelch when I see them in a new game. Can we have an option to set our opponents squelched all the time by default ? [link] [comments] | ||

Most brought classes:
Not brought:
Most played tech-cards:
I did a comparison between 5 tech-cards while not including cards like Tar Creeper, because they aren't straight tech-cards compared to e.g. Harrison Jones. Feel free to draw your own conclusions out of the data shown in the comments! [link] [comments] | ||

| Hearthstone needs more than new cards. The game itself could use some updates, such as to the UI. Posted: 19 Jun 2017 09:18 AM PDT It'd be nice if we got some updates to the game client. More features, a way to better view your game history stats, your deck stats, a more fleshed out quest system. Even fully implementing the achievement system that has kind of sort of been in the game all along, with the rewards you can get for doing things like Ready to Go and Crush them All.
