Welcome to /r/Smite's weekly God Class Discussion Megathread. This is a place for the community to get together and discuss, theorycraft, and ask for help on playing each class.

This week we are focusing on GUARDIANS.

Some ideas to get you started might include:

  • Tips and advice for playing any or all Guardians
  • Good builds, bad builds, and everything in between
  • What roles in each gamemode to play Guardians in
  • Where Guardians fit into the meta
  • Buffs or nerfs you would make and why
  • Questions about the gods or class as a whole

And anything else you can think of!

Chef Vulcan shouldn't replace the community skin contest.

Title. We shouldn't have one or the other, Chef Vulcan or the community skin. The community skin contest is one of my favorite things about Smite and it really shouldn't go away because of Hi Rez's refusal to make Chef Vulcan.

Edit: It was my understanding, and a lot of other peoples too, that coming into this year we'd have another community vote for a skin and it really shouldn't be taken away.

Of course it is. I don't care what you pick, I don't care what you build, but for gods sake, don't feed intentionally or try to sandbag others because you think it is just arena so ruining other's games is fun.

I don't expect any pro plays but I expect people to have the goal in playing the game, not in ruining it purposely for others.

St3alth is like my favorite person. He's a Smite world champ MVP, a great Hi-Rez employee, and just a swell guy.

Also, every time I'm on Reddit I see him in every other post. It's great to see the Hi-Rez team interacting directly with the community.

Anyway, just wanted to make a small post to say I'm happy we still have St3alth in the community and look forward to what he'll bring to Smite in the future!

P.S. St3alth, if you're reading this, tell Star and Jerma to play Smite.

Is it just me, or are the jokes on gods/skins just weak these days?

I guess you could say this with taunts or voice packs as well, but I only really noticed it with the jokes. Seriously, we don't get stuff like "I ate that He Bo guy for breakfast... WITH HE BISCUITS!" anymore.

Not posting a link for any particular video to get cheap views or anything. Just getting the word out. Been uploading daily for almost two months now. More than one video most days.

If you are new to SMITE and looking for a chill and experienced player to follow and learn the game or maybe just like to follow new rising content creators or looking for someone new to watch. We need your SPRING FLING ideas!!

Hey friends!

The Spring Fling is near and keeping up with the traditions of past years, we want to have some fun.

We need your ideas on fun things our participants of the Spring Fling could do. With our new esports studio, we want to try avoid the more messy challenges we've done in the past.

So give us your ideas for fun games and challenges we could have! Our participants will be willing to do (mostly) anything. Maybe you want to see everyone participate in a handstand contest to see who can stand on their hands the longest. Or maybe you want to see a wheelbarrow race but instead of a wheelbarrow it's a person. Or maybe you just want to see us play some SMITE charades again.

Why does console ranked not respect the picking order for calling roles?

Every time I played ranked this weekend I had people rage quit because I was the top or second picked and "took their role". People were complaining they "called it first" even though I was in one of the elo spots. Is this really the norm on Xbox?

Chests seriously need to be "smaller"

If we are to continue this trend with chest-exclusive and limited chests, Hirez, can you at least not cram in 16+ skins, when the consumer, us, actually just wants 1 or 2 of the skins? Yeah im salty because i just came back from a lenghty break, and my that new Khepri skin is gorgeous, but i just spend ~3000 gems on skins that i dont want. To begin with I told myself that i would not support this kind of casino cash grab, never really bought a single chest before, but i wanted to try it just once to see for myself how "bad" it actually is. Yeah, not gonna happen again. I know this sub propably have had it's fair share of whining about chests, rng and whatnot, but man is it bad.
