New God: Cu Chulainn, The Hound of Ulster

  • Passive: Berserk- Cu Chulainn's Mana Bar functions differently than other gods. His Mana is capped at 100 and only regenerates up to 25 Mana. Hitting Abilities, Basic Attacks, or allies and himself taking damage cause Cu Chulainn to gain Mana. After being above 85 Mana for 3 seconds, he goes Berserk. While Berserk, Cu Chulainn gains Power and Maximum Health and his Abilities change.
  • Barbed Spear/Ground Slam- Cu Chulainn thrusts his spear forward, damaging all enemies in front of him and stunning less powerful minions. Successfully hitting an enemy with this ability restores 6 Mana(to a max of 18). Barbs from his spear stick in opponents and reduce their Healing taken for 4s. In his Berserk Form, Cu Chulainn instead slams his massive arms down, damaging and rooting all Enemies in front of him
  • Vent Anger- Cu Chulainn vents his anger as superheated steam, increasing his Movement Speed and draining his Ferocity. Every .5s while in this state, all enemies within range are damaged by the heat.
  • Salmon's Leap/Furious Charge- Cu Chulainn vaults over his spear, leaping to a target location and slamming it down to damage enemies around and in front of him. Successfully hitting an enemy with this Ability restores 6 Ferocity (to a max of 18). In his Berserk Form, Cu Chulainn instead charges forward, damaging and driving all enemies back with him.
  • Spear of Mortal Pain/ War Cry- Cu Chulainn swings his spear in a circle around him, Damaging and knocking up all enemies. Successfully hitting an enemy with this Ability restores 12 Ferocity (to a max of 36).

On console we are having a hard time, a majority of the games you play will have someone who rage quits or just stops playing. It's not just a few games, it's a large amount of them. Out of 7 games last night with a friend, 5 of them had 1-2 people leaving them. This has got to stop! I report each one of these people and nothing is ever done, ever! It's an increased amount of people doing this within the last month. My guess is because school is out...

After playing Cu Chulainn all day, he feels fairly weak and here is how I'd tweak him to bring him up to par with other warriors

So after playing CC all day I feel like he is pretty underwhelming. I feel that his main problems stem from his ability to transform at the right times.

At the moment, CC starts at 25 rage and needs to be at above 85 rage for 3 full seconds to transform. All of his abilities cost rage but give more back if used in combat. He gains 1 rage per autoattack and 1 rage whenever he or a nearby ally recieves an instance of damage.

There's a few issues here I'd like to touch on

  • Rage generation is painfully slow
  • You get punish super hard for using your ability on single targets, as you will lose rage
  • When you reach 85 rage, you have to silence yourself for 3 seconds, as casting any ability will put you below the threshhold of 85 rage.
  • Upon transforming, your health doesn't increase but you instead gain a shield.

To touch on these issues

Rage generation - Only his 2 should cost rage. His 2 is the ability you use when you want to lower your rage to prevent an early transform. His other 3 abilities should be free, but tweak their rage generation to compensate.

Example - Barbed spear. Cost - Free. Generates 4 rage per target hit, up to 12 rage Salmons Leap - Same, Free and generates 4 rage per target up to 3.

Here is where i'd divert. His ultimate. -

Let his ultimate be his big ticket rage booster. free cost and 10 rage per god hit. Does not generate rage on hitting minions, up to 50 rage.

This would make generating rage not be so slow and it wouldn't punish you for fighting a 1 v 1 skirmish in the jungle

To touch on the next point, the self silence at 85 rage, Here is my proposition -

I'm gonna draw heavy comparisons to a Champion in League of Legends, Gnar. Gnar is very similar to CC. He has a rage passive that leads him to transforming with new abilities at max rage. Where this differs is when he transforms.

Upon reaching max rage on Gnar, he will automatically transform after 4 seconds OR when he casts an ability. Give this treatment to CC.

When CC reaches 85 rage, he has a few choices -

  • cast your 1, 3 or 4 to instantly transform and cast that transformed ability.

  • cast your 2 to lower your rage and cancel your transformation

  • transform as normal after a few seconds

Doing this would make fighting a high rage CC much more dangerous as the moment he hits 85 rage he can immediately transform and use his slam, charge or roar.

The final point I'd touch on is his shield. Gaining a shield while transformed isn't as good as getting an increase to health.

If CC got a bonus to his max health upon transforming, thats health he can get healed back by a healer and its some health he can keep when he shrinks back down.

Gonna draw another comparison to Gnar. When Gnar transforms, he gets 70 - 700 HP added to his current and max HP. If Gnar transforms at level 20 at half HP, he will get roughly 700 health. Implying he takes no damage during this time, he can keep that 700 HP when he shrinks back down.

I'm not saying give CC a 700 HP increase for a lvl 20 transform, but taking his current shield and making it added to his health will really help with his sustain

HiRez pls. I love this gods kit but ATM he just seems so underwhelming

One last plea to remove server roll-ups (ATTENTION HI-REZ)

server roll-ups need to be removed. I have seen a significant drop in the player base, if we can't play on our own servers then we really don't want to play. I'm starting to get the feeling Hi-rez is intentionally sabotaging smaller regions servers because they don't want the hassle of running them. due to server roll-ups the only modes a 5 man party can queue in SEA or OCE is arena and conquest. now for all the players who don't feel like always queuing conquest can you imagine how dull the game would feel for you if you only had two options.

Hi-Rez needs to remove server roll-ups and issue a statement apologising to the regions they have effectively killed, then maybe we can start to see players return and other regions grow. Removing server roll-ups is also good for NA I'm sure people in NA must be annoyed when members of their team are playing with 300+ping and miss about 90% of time.

I also just want to vent about what I read a Hi-rez employee say when server roll-ups came out "players would rather play more games on high ping than less games on low ping" this statement is completely wrong, for one it was written by someone who is from the U.S. and has never had to play on servers outside his country let alone continent.

another thing is that Hi-rez did this so that players who would intentionally queue on other regions would have incentive to come back. they assume that players only left for queue times when I know for a fact that there are other reasons.

players have been queuing NA from other regions for some of the following regions.

  • they are young and don't know how to change servers or even what a server is
  • they dislike the toxicity of their own region
  • they have effectively been bullied out of smite/their home region

players that want shorter queues know how to switch regions, don't force 300 ping on everyone for the sake of a minority.

[Suggestion] Can we get a randomize on Music Theme selection?

Just like in wards selection. Today I for the first time in 3 years decided to crank up some volume while ranked was blocked and I was playing casual for Chivalry quests. Turns out some of the Music themes are pretty high quality and good overall. But I really enjoy at least more than 3 and Random selection would have been great.

Fashion Hel Skin idea ( Reupload )

Hey guys! I had an idea for a skin for Hel involving fashion. The Light stance is Avant Garde with a super airy personality and bright effects. The dark stance would be modern and a bit of a Diva. Today we decided to release Smitemon v1.5A. Now, this is alpha, and the game is pretty much unfinished and has tons of bugs, we decided to make access to it loosely limited.

Questions:

  • What is Smitemon?

Smitemon is free to play, Pokemon like game with Smite design and features.

  • In what version is Smitemon currently?

Smitemon is currently in v1.5A, A standing for ALPHA. In ALPHA, there are a bunch of placeholders, and stuff is upgraded with each patch

  • If I get a link for this version, can I download next update too?

Yes, we have an in game launcher that checks if there are any new updates when you press play. If it finds updates, you will be prompted to download them so you can continue playing.

  • Will there be rewards for Alpha players?

Yes, there is "8-Bit" Ra skin which you can claim in Rewards center while the game is in alpha.

  • When will updates release?

We will try to release updates each week, but that is subject to change. Our set schedule however is ~1 week for each version and 2-3 weeks distance for each fift version.

  • Will there be purchasable content for real money in game?

No! Not yet, atleast. As long as I, /u/Draco9990, lead this project, and my word is final, I will not put any content that requires real money transactions to be owned.

  • Will there be LIMITED and EXCLUSIVE skins?

Yes, for example, "8-Bit" Ra is limited which is given away by red square with L in it.

  • WIll you ever be able to play on your phone?

Well, you can kinda play it on the phone right now, but the problem is that it simply cannot work with the emulators. It would require massive amounts of researching and reworking to make the game 100% playable, but if you think you will have luck at getting it turn on, feel free to download and use Neko RPGXP Player to emulate the game.

  • Will you be able to customise your enemies in matches?

Not for now, no, there are currently different plans for Standard mode.

  • In which program this game was built?

We are using RPG Maker XP and Pokemon Essentials. For files we took Smite's so we own nothing in the project except few things. All credit goes to them.

  • Can I record playing the game?

Yes, but please read THIS first.

  • I have an error.

That is nice of you but we don't accept donations yet. You will be able to donate when the game enters beta so you can know for sure that it won't fail and that you actually can donate to something certain.

  • Isn't HiRez able to take this down?

Well, yes they can, we are, after all, using their resources. The question is, why would they? We have no monetary gain from this and I could potentialy bring them new people to their games.

  • I am unable to unpack this rar file.

I use WinRar to pack it so you can try to unpack it with it.

  • What are gems?

Gems are Smitemon's special currency that are currently only avialable through quests. They are in no relation connected to Smite's gem currency.

  • How do quests work?

Each 5 patches (starting with 0.5), you will get an quest that gives you 100 gems. Quests sometimes may give different special rewards if events are active.

  • Is there anything special about game versions.

Not much really. The only special thing is that every fifth patch is bigger than those before it, like v0.5A for example. They will most oftenly contain numerous changes, new God and new skins. Also, each fifth patch is set two weeks after the one before it.


Most assets used in Smitemon game belong to Hi-Rez Studios alone, and we take no credit for material used and respect their rights to shut this project down at any time. This is a non-profit project purely intended to provide entertainment.

So I find Amuzen Cab fun to play but we all know he is meh in terms of hunters but still a good late game carry and really fun in solo lane. I was thinking about his hives and seeing as they are so easy to destroy(1 hit) and no repercussions if the enemy destroys them. If you went to a tree and knocked out a bee hive pretty sure u would get stung a lot so why not if an enemy destroys a hive a swarm of bees attack the target reducing their armor and applying the bee passive. I know AMC needs more work to be totally viable but this does make sense if you think about hives.

Introduction

Hey guys, Cure here, AKA Complax. I've been working on a DPS calculator recently that is very accurate at what it does. It's been in the making for about 2 months now. I decided to do this because KrettCalc was very messy, and outdated. This is more updated, is more accurate, and is a lot more user-friendly. Thanks to Flareb00t and others for Word of Thoth. Which is basically the only reason this was possible.

Explanation

It's a DPS calculator. You select a god, select items, select passives for those items, select the various steroids between hunters, and preview your stats, DPS, and other variables about your build.

Additions in this patch

  • Added temporary way to preview target's stats.

  • Added temporary way to create custom target stats.

  • You can now select ranks for steroids.

  • Minor visual updates.

  • Added limits to all stats. You can no longer go above the limitations for stats such as critical chance, flat pen, etc.

Bugs that were fixed.

  • You can now select stacks for Artemis' passive.

  • Fixed Chiron's GiddyUp! being treated as bonus damage rather than bonus power.

  • Fixed Cernunno's Summer stance effecting critical damage.

  • Fixed Izanami's Sickle Storm effecting critical damage.

  • Fixed Rama's Astral Strike effecting critical damage.

Known Bugs

  • Hydra's Lament passive is not functioning properly.

  • Mystical Mail aura is not functioning properly.

  • Soul Eater passive is not functioning properly.

Upcoming Additions

  • Fix all bugs.

  • Add a way to select debuffs, buffs, and potions.

  • Add lifesteal per second.

  • Add Time to Kill.

  • Add Shots to Kill.

  • Create a better way to make a target.

  • Add structure information. Time to kill and Shots to kill.

Notes

  • AA Damage and Crit Damage that is displayed on Base page is the non-mitigated version of those values. These are however, calculated using protections behind the scenes. Those numbers are just their to show you the theortetical value.

  • For target stats and information go to the "Targets" Section below. I know this was one of people's main concerns. So I made it easier to preview these stats in the sheet, and on the post.

Targets

  • If these stats below are not something you would like to test a build against. Use the custom target function.

  • Hunter is Apollo. Level 20. Contains no health or defense items.

  • Mid is Agni. Level 20. Contains no health or defense items.

  • Jungle is Thor. Level 20. Only defense item is Mantle of Discord, no health items.

  • Solo is Sun Wukong. Level 20. Contains Warrior Tabi, Shifter's Shield with power passive, Gladiator's Shield, Fully stacked Hide of the Urchin, Mantle of Discord, Winged Blade.

  • Support is Athena. Level 20. Contains Traveler's Shoes, Sovereignty, Heartward Amulet, Guantlet of Thebes, Mantle of Discord, Hide of the Nemean Lion.
