Hey all, just thought I'd share this artwork I recently finished for the Fanforge page. I've been sitting on this drawing for a while now and finally decided to finish it. Been trying to do some new things with my work lately after all the studies and skill building exercises I've been doing lately.

I wanted to move away from making another action scene/pose piece. Zdzislaw Beksinski is one of my favorite painters, so I took some inspiration from him and tried to make this piece a bit more surreal. Also trying to experiment a bit more with colors (though I could push them more), edge control, silhouettes, and focusing on when to keep things loose vs. detailed for contrasting focus.

This was 2 hours after reset a few hours earlier. You can see the fights are extremely one-sided to the extent that CD and DB seemed to avoid going to the side Mag's zerg was on if they could and fought only between themselves.

I totally understand that behavior though. It's more fun fighting between evenly matched opponents than ones that steamroll you in one push and leave a mountain of corpses in their wake.

It isn't healthy for the opponents. It isn't healthy for Mag either. I've seen guilds losing interest to join fights against servers that get one-pushed by pugs multiples times.

Look at the Kill/Death Ratio 2 hours after reset

  • Mag = 4224(kills) to 825(deaths) = 5.11

  • DB = 1090(kills) to 2482(deaths) = 0.43

  • CD = 1314(kills) to 2540(deaths) = 0.51

This gets worse later during OCX/SEA timezone. Entire EBG gets steamrolled by the stronger server and everything is made T3 and waypointed and the enemy just disappears over the week with zero motivation to play.

This doesn't only apply to Mag. You see the KDR and points for BG and JQ in their respective match-up currently and its also lopsided in their favor. Just not as terribly lopsided as Mag's. But still very demoralizing.

Given the current situation, I would say that the healthiest match-up will be to put Mag, JQ and BG together. That way the disparity and imbalance is at the smallest. Weaker servers won't feel clobbered and demoralized. Stronger servers won't feel demoralized from a lack of challenge either.

Please let this happen.

Hey, while farming wood I noticed that nearly no one does this hidden event, so I would like to share this little thing with you.

Way to the event.

It's a small kill event that will only be triggered when you kneel next to the altar. Don't know much about the lore of this guy but he is a bit mad that you wake him up.

Role of the Revenant

I've been leveling a new character with my friend, my first since coming back (I had gotten to a level 20 something Necromancer), and for some reason, I've yet to be taken by the Revenant completely. Maybe I am, but my worry is that I hear a loto f people shitting on it. I don't know if I should keep leveling, or what. I want to play something that is engaging and 'high skill,' but mesmer, engineer, and thief don't really interest me. I was looking at Necromancer in the PvP hall, and it was interesting, but it just didn't take me.

Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlock Glint's Gaze Mask anomaly

Glint's Gaze Mask in the Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlock is split into three different armor weights, despite it looking exactly the same on each, I think this is an anomaly and should be changed, because otherwise we all have to spend 3 wardrobe unlocks on it, if we don't already have it.

Glowing Crimson Mask and Glowing Green Mask are essentially the same item just in a different color, but they are not split into 3 different weights in the Wardrobe Unlock, if you unlock one of these masks, all three weights are awarded. I think Glint's Gaze mask should be the same.

Please do not just downvote me to hell, I ant Anet to be aware of this anomaly, and it helps everyone if less Wardrobe Unlocks are needed.

Sudden constant lag since June 14th (9pm EST) - requesting possible assistance!

The issue started around 9pm EST on June 14th, and is still persisting. It started as a ping spike (while in game) and remained that way - the lag is still there. I was on LA at the time forming a raid party, and there was no setting changes/downloads or behaviour/usage changes at my end from the usual.

Where my usual ping sat around 50-60 ms for the past 5 years (I've been playing GW2 since beta - and GW1 even longer), it has shot up and has been sitting steadily at around 160-210 ms. This makes gaming a major annoyance, and has effectively been preventing me from playing and enjoying the game. All my other games, applications, and browsers are working as normal: this includes other MMORPGs, PS4 and PS3 multiplayer, and other multiplayer PC games.

I have a 200mb connection from Rogers (Canadian), but GW2 is utilizing less than 5% of it. Everything else is utilizing far more than GW2. The most I've seen GW2 utilize is 4mb. I have contacted my ISP and they have notified me that there's no problems or changes at their end.

I also made a ticket to which a GM has been replying. However, thus far, all the recommendations to try fix the problem has been text book solutions which has not changed anything: this includes firewall fixes/exception additions (firewall is always disabled anyway when I play games) and connecting directly to modem (which I always do). Furthermore, I also personally went ahead and repaired the client, as well as done a fresh reinstall and tested it on separate occasions. None of it has had any effect on the problem.

It has now been more than half a week and I'm starting to get extremely frustrated to the point where I am about to quit the game that I have otherwise enjoyed thoroughly. I have sunk a lot of time, effort, and money into the game and it's a shame that I am left feeling this way over a server lag problem. Some of you may be able to tolerate playing at high pings, but I cannot...especially because there's absolutely no reason for me to have these connection issues arise out of the blue.

I have been refraining from asking here for possible assistance, relying on the ISP and GW2 CS to resolve the problem, but my guild mates recommended I try post here anyway since someone else with the same provider may be encountering or have encountered a similar problem with a solution to it.

Virtue of Justice in pve

Why is this purposefully kept weak in pve? It's mind-boggling that it's buffed in pvp, and not in pve where guardian desperately needs some help with their condi build.

Honestly, I feel they refuse to buff guardian to make way for the next elite spec.

Your favourite, most interesting or most obscure events?

There are loads of events in GW2 that most of us never see, and some events we love to complete again and again, either for loot or sheer fun. What are your favourite events, or those that you think are interesting or obscure that most people have never seen?

I think my favourite event is the chain in Straights of Devastation, repairing Fort Trinity and the amphibious landings on Orr. Just so many ways for it to go wrong, fast paced and requiring alot of teamwork for the entire map-wide chain to be completed.

Best Use for Black Lion Salvage Kit
