Should I buy Reaper of Souls together with Diablo 3?

PLEASE READ THE POST FIRST AS THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL SITUATION.

So, the problem I am facing right now is if I should only buy Diablo 3 or the battlechest for 10€ more. However the problem here is that I'm not paying with real money, I try to convert my wow gold into bnet balance to buy it. So let's say I've almost reached my gold goal to buy diablo, then I have the problem thats only the vanilla game and not ros. However if I want to buy them both with the battlechest I had to farm another 2 weeks or so in terms of gold and I don't know if I got the patience for it.

What would you say? Should I just wait with it and buy them together later or buy Diablo 3 now?

Pets and on hit effects

So it turns out, while your pets cannot trigger "on hit" effects directly, AoE effects from them (e.g. burning dogs or big stinker for garg) can. Me and a friend tested this with Miranae's and the Wreath gems. Just an interesting tidbit I wanted to toss in

This is current as of patch 2.50 (season 10), and you still can't trigger stuff worded "on your attack" as opposed "on hit".

"Should I buy RoS" threads

I see threads pop up now and again asking this question, and the answer from the community is generally the same each time.

Since the consensus seems to be "If you buy D3 without RoS you might as well not buy it at all" or some variant on that, could we please get a sticky that says so, something in the sidebar, maybe even a rule saying "Don't ask if you should buy it, because of course you bloody should."

Just a thought.

Non-Season Ladder and Paragorn

Hello everyone! I thought about pushing non-season HC ladder a bit but unfortunatly I'm only ~Paragorn 1100. Is there any way to compete with people with Paragorn 3000+ or is top10 impossible for me then? Oh and are there any people playing non-season HC on Europe I could play with?

Someone please help

So I'm pretty new. Just started playing ROS today as a Crusader. To my understanding I need to play through the story once (I'm playing on hard BTW, if that matters any) to get to adventure mode and that is the when the game is supposed to really begin. But other than that I know nothing. So if my fellows could help me out any I'd be forever grateful.

I do know that "The non-Seasonal Greater Rift Leaderboards will also be wiped sometime after the end of the Season." is in the season 10 ending soon post but it doesnt mean anything, it was there at the end of seasons 7 8 and 9

Boss Mode

I never finished my season journey in the start of the season and with one day left I am starting to panic. I need one more conquest and I want to try Boss Mode because I've never done that conquest before. Is there anyone out there who can help me get it done on EU seasonal?

A few newbie questions

Hi all, just recently picked this game up and finished the campaign (Barb). I started with the trial version so my character is still non-seasonal. I have been doing some T1 Bounties, did a Rift yesterday, but I'm kinda lost. I have a couple of questions:

  1. Season is ending tomorrow, so I don't know what exactly I should be aiming for as a non-seasonal? I plan on starting a seasonal character in S11.

  2. How can I grind for a specific set? Is it all completely random among bounties and rifts?. Say I want to try the Raekor Barb build. Will the set pieces drop anywhere?

  3. I've read a few times that Adventure Mode is where the "fun" begins and the majority of the game play is, but so far it feels underwhelming if there is only Bounties and Rifts to do.

PSA: And Tristram Shattered Around Me

I'm finally healed enough to share what happened to me.

I play D3 on the PS4 and during the first season on consoles I was doing really well. My inventory both in the season and out of it were fairly impressive, there was enough gold satiate every desire, and a Paragon level that was starting to look respectable (Paragon level 201).

And then.

A cousin's child came over... game was paused while I said hello to everyone... they decided they wanted to play... they wanted their own character... they restored my game back to the point it was at when I only had 3 fully leveled up characters, maybe a million gold, and was only at Paragon level 75. (For those who don't know you can revert back to when you migrated the game from the PS3)

No help from Sony, no help from Blizzard... I even resorted to begging for them to accept cash payment to restore everything. I offered my cat, home cooked meals, yearly birthday cards, nearly everything I could think of.

I seriously started to cry folks.

For the first time in my life I cried over a game and I haven't been able to touch it since. I probably will return to it once the Necromancer comes out later this month, but until then I can barely stand to even look at the logo.

So here's a PSA that should be obvious to everyone: NEVER LET A STRAY CHILD NEAR YOUR GAME

Will rise of the necromancer be in the battle chest after launch or at all? I am looking to get into this game and will probably get the battle chest but im deciding if its worth it to wait?
