Destiny 2 PvP - I would like to see a 6v6 option in casual Games. If it's casual anyway, why not a big slaughter?

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 03:03 AM PDT

I'm fine with 4v4 across all modes but like said, a 6v6 big mess slaughter fest is still pretty fun. Especially if it's casual rampage.

Gunsmith Movie Posters

A very attentive fellow guardian noticed that I did not include Bashee-44 in the credits of the Sweeper Bot poster that I made a few days ago. The reason for that being scheduling conflicts for the movie that you see here.

Kidding aside, these are way too much fun to make. I may continue to do a series with different vendors and give them their own movie.

Old user here: Has Bungie announced how they intend to "honor" us in Destiny 2?

Most don't seem to care and I may have missed it, has it been revealed yet? Thanks.

What I want for D2 patrols is a version of the Skywatch Ogre but with an exotic quest instead of a gold chest.

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 09:29 AM PDT

That Ogre, and to a lesser extent those three Hive majors under the Steppes, was the real final boss of the beta.

What was most cool about it is that there were these mysterious and ultra-powerful (at the time) enemies that you encountered at basically the beginning of the game. I'm sure we all had the same experience, the wonder of oh shit those guys have question marks in their names, wtf is in there? followed by near-instant death.

Then you find out it's just a gold chest containing green armor. edit: I seem to have misremembered, it was actually a dead ghost. Debatable if that's better but still not amazing.

I would love for the closest "lost sector" (or adventure) to The Farm to be full of max light (or close to it) enemies, to give new guardians that same sense of wonder, but without the let-down: at the end of it you get the first piece of a new exotic, which starts a quest.

Think of the excitement here when someone finally gets high enough level (or when u/sc_slayerage solos it with all-white gear on day 2, always a possibility) to find out what's there and posts it on the forums!

As a year one player, starting over on a new account with no HUD is the most fun Ive had in a while.

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 09:55 AM PDT

The story line and structure of the game have really evolved since I played through back in year 1. Not only that, with the HUD turned off everything is so much more cinematic. Fighting enemies that dont have health bars or levels is thrilling in a way I had never felt from destiny. And all of a sudden the remaining bullet count on guns is meaningful.

I only wish the objective popped up with the ghost. I fortunately know which way to go in most missions from experience. But a new player trying this would be totally lost and have to use the hud.

What I did with my Destiny T-shirts and Pins

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 08:57 AM PDT

So my Destiny T-shirts (Nepal Charity and both Triumphs T-shirts) were starting to get worn out. Instead of just saving them in a closet I decided to stretch them onto some canvases and add the Destiny pins to them to make some impromptu art.

Who Ghaul really is.

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 10:35 AM PDT

There have been quite a few articles released recently. A few of these seem to lay out who Ghaul really is.

This is taken from a few articles.

Long before the Cabal took aim at Earth, the Consul advised Ghaul in his military coup of the Cabal, unseating and exiling the prior Cabal Emperor named Calus.

This guy we call the Consul took him under his wing and convinced Ghaul that when the Traveler gifted light to humanity it made the wrong choice. Ghaul took control of the Cabal by force in a military cop that sent prior emperor, Calus, into exile.

The old Emperor of the Cabal legion was Calus. A Cabal known as Consul, raised Ghaul to believe that when the Traveler chose humanity it chose wrong. Ghaul then carried out a military coup, exiling Calus, to become the new Emperor of the Cabal. He then sent scouts to our system and has now launched his attack on us.

GHAUL IS THE CABAL EMPEROR

We are about to face the leader of all of the Cabal. The Consul may come in later to avenge Ghaul.

So, booted up Xbone to play Destiny (have both consoles) and was reminded about how much fun it is.

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 07:04 AM PDT

I was kind of bored the other day on my PS4, so I booted up the Xbone for the first time in over a year to play Destiny. Wow.. was LL 293 (am maxed on PS4).

I was reminded just why I love this game so much. It was nice to have things to chase again.

just two motes worth!

Anyone looking to start fresh in Destiny 2 (new clan, new friends, etc..)?

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 11:54 AM PDT

Basically, I am wondering if anyone else is wanting to start over in D2. Taking all the wonderful things you have learned from D1 while understanding some of the mistakes you may have made and looking to have a fresh start this go around.

I started a clan several months before TTK dropped. Before I started that clan, I was part of two other clans. The clan I started was based on an idea that wanted to bridge the gap between "sweaty try hard" and "filthy casual". I wanted members that ranged across a wide skill gap. The stronger guardians were meant to help teach and build up the weaker ones and the weaker ones were meant to do their best to learn and get better. The point was to grow, as a group, while having fun and supporting one another.

This idea took off pretty nicely. We grew to about 40 very active members or so within about 4 months. The core five or six guys (the admins) oversaw everything and I delegated out a lot of responsibility.

Over time, my delegating came back to bite me in the butt a bit. The clan grew exponentially, but many members were combative and didn't fit the personality traits that the clan was built around. I'd join a party and not know who half the people were even though they had our clan tag on, and they had no clue who I was even though I was the clan founder. In-fighting started to occur and bit by bit, the clan sort of "got away from me." That was due to my laziness and lack of involvement in the recruiting process as time went on. That was my mistake and kind of ties in to what this thread is all about.

After a year or so of staying with it, I decided to turn clan ownership over to my clan co-founder and leave. I am still friends with the core group from that clan and that clan is still very, very, active and I am pleased to say they are doing well.

I guess what I am wondering is if anyone else has had a similar experience to this? And, if so, are any of you looking for a new beginning in Destiny 2? Where you can take all those fun times from D1 and try to replicate it again in D2 with a fresh group of people and maybe learn from your past mistakes to make things last even longer this time?

Let me know! I'm curious! Lol.

Stick together in Supremacy, they said. It'll be easier to kill as a team, they said.

Here is a Slayer medal that I got in Iron Banner on Black Shield with a single spike grenade to end the match.

Jokey title aside, this is what happens when you all group up just on the other side of a choke point. Don't do it!

Also, to those of you who haven't switched from voidwall to spikes since the buffs a while back, do it! They're crazy strong, especially on maps with a lot of walls.

Hunter Arcstrider — new details from GameInformer

Destiny 2's Story Direction from Gameinformer

Posted: 11 Jun 2017 04:24 PM PDT

Started playing Destiny again to prepare.

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 09:23 AM PDT

After the trailer I purchased the collection and started again. Hadn't played since vault of Glass was the only raid. I leveled my Titan and I'm now at 392 light. Having a ton of fun experiencing the "new" content.

My complaints with the game are simple. No LFG on most stuff, which I know is being addressed in D2 (the only feature I needed to hear before I bought it)

The other is one I feel every one must have. As I'm doing the DLC I keep saying to myself "oh cool, here again" idk why the developers thought it was completely acceptable to do this, but it's dispicable. The entire game and all of it's DLC is comprised of like 10 maps, rehashed over and over to fit their newest need. They designed 10 small dungeons, and 10 small bosses, colored everything black and called it TTK, then colored it all red and called it RoI. It's pure laziness mixed with substantial greed.

The pricing of their DLC is sickening in itself, end up paying $200 for the game if you want it all when it comes out. After spitting in your face by charging $40 for DLC you find out it's the same 10 maps rehashed with red goop everywhere? And to top it off, they block certain aspects of the game (like PvP) if you don't buy it?

Bungie, you guys made an awesome universe with destiny and I'm excited to continue my legend in the sequel, but stop being so f**king greedy.

Hopping off my soap box now. Here's to hoping they don't rawdog our wallets on the sequel and actually design new content instead of rehashing the old stuff

Have you guys noticed that the Dead Orbit Keystone scout rifle is a left handed gun but our guardians shoot it right handed?
