| Posted: 07 Jul 2017 04:37 AM PDT I've been trying to play on my favourite server, but it has been raining absolutely non-stop for the past few days. I'm not exaggerating; the few hours I've spent each day for the past few days it has literally never stopped raining. I'm assuming this is not global to DayZ (especially considering this is a community server), but it's been impossible (or just really really frustrating) to play, as I can't stay alive longer than an hour or so due to dying from hypothermia. I've tried everything; from heatpacks (when I can actually find one), to raincoats, to building fireplaces and sitting next to them for 10 minutes to get my heat back up, only to have to do it again in another 10 minutes time. Is there something I'm missing that should allow me to combat hypothermia more effectively? [link] [comments]  | ||

| DayZ PC build - few questions. Posted: 07 Jul 2017 06:17 AM PDT Hi guys, long time lurker here, finally decided to post. I'm looking at building a gaming PC with mainly running DayZ, maybe some streaming in the future. So here goes. I know the engine is still in development and we don't know much about 0.63, so the specs could change. What's the most important hardware for DayZ? CPU or GPU? Also heard SSD makes wonders running it from there. Does anyone knows a decent UK based company that specialises in building gaming PC? | Posted: 06 Jul 2017 12:40 PM PDT Hi all. I'm looking for a good public community server to set up a camp. I'm not trying to make a huge base I just want some sense of reliability (or as reliable as DayZ can be) that my barrel of goodies will be there when I return. I've previously tried establishing small camps on two separate servers since 62's release and both severs have gone away (I assume the admins went belly up). I typically play on a private server but I also want to set up a character on a public (non-official) server as well. Just looking for one that's been around a while, has a decent population, and most importantly, persistence. If you know of one that notifies its members of upcoming wipes, that would be ideal.
