FPS Drops while zooming scope

Having huge FPS drops - to 20fps while zooming scope since 0.62. (Hunting or others)

Since getting back into the game I've found it hard to stay interested/play for more than an hour without getting bored or exhausted looting. I switch between Arma 3 DayZ Mod and DayZ SA a lot and I find Arma 3 DayZ Mod more fun because there is more loot to sift through. I know it's not ALL about the loot. Is there anywhere that's more lucrative looting than others? Or is it completely random?

In game map

So i like to keep my immersion by not using an exterior map or translator. I really just enjoy wandering around. And I was wondering if anyone knew if they where planning to get the in game map working so that I could use road signs and my in game compass to navigate. I just think that would be great.

Things despawning?

2 of my friends died so I threw all of the loot I couldn't hold into a shipping container and closed the doors. I came back a couple hours later and all the stuff except backpacks where gone. I don't think someone looted it cause the backpacks stuff was all still there. Anyone know how long until stuff despawns?

So...

Don't throw guns off of deer stands. I saw a stand. Put my sks on my back and climb the ladder. BOOM a Winchester is up there. No big deal I'll just toss the Winchester down the ladder, climb back down, and double carry the guns.

Except.... the Winchester got sucked into the middle of the Earth LOL.

As I walked the dusty streets of Berenzino, I knew I should make my way to Sonichichi as quickly as possible. I had been attacked by a guy with fully decked out M4, fully kitted out gear and overall he was fully geared out. I spotted him as he was chambering bullets into his M4 clip. Soon I was taking cover from a hailstorm of cartridges from his rifle. Luckily no shell hit me. I sealed his lips forever with an elite shot, the precision of which Is rarely even heard of. I loaded a shell into the chamber of my trusty sniper rifle and pulled the trigger. The cartridge flew out the end of my barrel as the empty bullet was ejected to the right. Seconds later the other guy was dead, I had sealed his lips forever with my .556 from my own M4 which was fully kitted out, but not fully decked out yet (I was missing the bayonet). I moved on to Slonichy, and then to Myshinko and Elektrogorsk.

It was a good day. I am professional. I am a ghillie. I am elite. I am Shawn and this is my DayZ story.

The world feels far more alive. Trees moving in the wind, excellent nature/weather sounds, better skybox. Even the player camera is much improved.

That being said, I couldn't find a single edible item on a public server after running around a major city and two towns. My character died due to starvation. Are the loot tables still broken? Because that's what it seemed like to me.

Haven't played for a while, and I just realized I can't look all the way up now. All the info I've seen is at least a year old, are there any plans on fixing it soon? Frankly I can't play like this.
