| Honestly, I hope Pokémon GO makes a comeback in terms of popularity this year. Posted: 14 May 2017 01:17 PM PDT Most of you have probably noticed how not as many people played after the summer last year, with some concluding that it was a passing fad and nothing more. Admittedly, I was one of those people. Thinking back though, especially now realizing that the summer is a little over a month away, I do hope it regains popularity. I live by a beach area and had an amazing time playing for hours on end until my legs hurt from all of the walking, running down a street I'd have never thought to run down because a Tauros was there and I had to catch it. Once the weather becomes nicer, I'm going to hit up a nearby downtown area and play again. Hopefully I run into some others doing the same. [link] [comments] | ||

| Why are starters and Ampharos so weak? Posted: 14 May 2017 09:31 AM PDT (Question) I actually can't get over the fact, that my favourites are totally useless becuase of their low maximal CP. Do you think that it'd be reworked with the new gym system? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 14 May 2017 08:54 AM PDT So i live in a rural area. I have access to 3 Pokestops that are a few miles away. Generally i need to go to a big town after work to attempt to stock up on items. The Water and Grass Events have really impacted on the amount of balls i have. Then today, with 7 or 8 balls in my bag this guy pops up. I run out of balls, quickly buy some more and he leaves. So dejected right now, i like this game but this is one of those "why do i bother" situations. Anyone else got any Pogo lows to share? [link] [comments] | ||
| [Complaint] Anyone else in need of stardust? Posted: 14 May 2017 06:35 AM PDT Anyone else running out of or low on stardust? Considering how much is needed to raise a higher level Mon only one ppwerup, I would think we would have gotten a double stardust event or something along the lines somewhere since grinding can be so tedious. Sure, the double XP week was nice but what's the point of leveling up when you have to catch 40 mons to get enough stardust for one power up? Team Instinct here so I don't have the luxury of getting a anything more than 1000 stardust a day from gym rewards. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 14 May 2017 03:09 AM PDT Yeah so i live in a somewhat rural town in Germany, ~20k habitants with a okayish amount of pokestops within the city. However, i live in a pretty historic city (ex-Roman colony) and not even a quarter of the stuff that could be pokestops is a actual pokestop. So today i went out, made some photos with geotag and found at least 30 potential pokestops, even with some hotspots where i got like 11 pokestops that might be reachable from one point. Literally PoGo heaven. Funny thing is there is even more, i just was to lazy to take everything. Niantic plz giff Pokestops Submission. [link] [comments] | ||
| What's keeping you from quiting Pokémon Go? (High level players 35+) Posted: 14 May 2017 09:43 AM PDT What's keeping you guys from quitting this game? For me personally, it's all the time and the money I have already put into it. I am level 37, been playing since 7/7/16 and even though I only play now to grind the game gets boring. Catching the same commons to gain stardust that you need thousands of to power up good defenders and occasional rares, doesn't really seem worth it. But like I said I can't quit after all the time I have put in, over 2000KM would have gone down the drain. So as the title says, why haven't you quit? Edit:I am not over Pokémon go, of course I am going to get to level 40! Just hearing opinions :) [link] [comments] | ||
| [suggestion] Add a 'Total Candy Count' to the Encounter screen Posted: 14 May 2017 07:21 PM PDT Just like when you click your walking buddy, it shows you a 'total candy count'. I think that would be an awesome feature to have discretely somewhere in the Pokémon encounter screen. It doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to implement, since it's already in place elsewhere in the game. Would be great to have at hand when you're contemplating the difficult decision between choosing a pinap berry or a razz berry... Do you only need a few more candies to evolve? Would a pinap berry take you there? Or should you opt for that razz berry instead? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 14 May 2017 06:36 PM PDT So I decided to see how long my new Meganium would last without dodging quick moves and I must say I was very impressed with the results [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 14 May 2017 06:16 AM PDT [Story] I just need to vent on a larger scale then my local Facebook group. I live in a decent sized area, with about 50 gyms in a decent radius. We've always had to deal with a few spoofers here and there, but they usually only took out weak gyms and left them low level for others to take back quickly. Annoying, but at least not as bad as the new guy. My city was about 75% red for the longest time (due to a VERY dedicated group of known players) and about 20% yellow. Blue gyms were very uncommon, and never lasted long, mostly because the previous group hated the blue team. But they recently retired from gym battles after the "leader" of the group hit lvl 40. So it made sense that Mystic finally had a chance. Except... Someone decided using a spoofer account to claim gyms wasn't good enough, so he created several accounts, all with similar names, all containing the same group of numbers. He also has a few accounts with different names, but the same numbers. He goes on sprees, claiming all the gyms in our town all at once. As I speak, of the 30 closest gyms to my home, he's in all but 7 or 8, which are lvl 10 Valor (all held again by the previously mentioned dedicated players) But the worst part of it all is two of his accounts are named specifically to troll everyone. I won't post the actual names, but they're basically saying "Sucks to be you" and "You can't stop me". He takes all our gyms, doesn't try to hide it, and knows Niantic won't do anything to stop them. They've been reported several times according to members of our group, but nothing has changed. As a member of Instinct, it's already hard enough to hold a gym, let alone with one guys building all the local gyms with his own small army. I hate this guy. Sorry, just had to rant. | [question] Two stops, a pair of lures, no pokémon. Posted: 14 May 2017 05:40 AM PDT Today I just experienced that not a single Pokémon appeared from two lure modules. My girlfriend and I sat at a bench next to two pokéstops. We each put a lure on one of the stops. While she could see and catch every pokemon that appeared, I could not even see a single spawn during the 30 minutes. I of course tried restarting tha app, and later my phone, but it changed nothing. I tried walking away from the stops and walk back to them, still nothing. I could see nearby pokémon and catch every pokémon that appeared through normal spawns, but not a single one from the lures showed up on my screen. Has anyone else experienced this? | Posted: 14 May 2017 08:59 AM PDT I have been stacking my incense over the months, and I was wondering what is the best way to use incense, in terms of attracting rarer pokemons? Also can anyone explain how they work, do they attract pokemons based on the biomes you're in or do they simply just increase pokemon spawns. Many thanks! [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 14 May 2017 03:57 PM PDT Sorry for the long post, there is a TL:DR Ok there are these posts every month, so I feel I should make this clear, just so you know my experience with the game and don't think im making shit up, I played every single pokémon game except for pokémon green and white 2,(that includes stadium, XD and colosseum), and I was also rank 1 on 4th gen on shoddy battle and 6th gen pre and after ORAS on showdown.(Completly skipped the 5th gen competitive and now skipping 7th gen aswell cause I hate tapus and z-moves) Ok now for the actual problem, people keep making threads here as if its NIANTIC'S FAULT that the pokémon in question is weak, while I am far from a niantic defender, that is simply not true. The ONLY reason why you guys EVER thought those pokémon were even remotely strong and that Pokémon Go doesn't make justice to them is because you either : A) Only watched the anime, which is full of flaws, everything is weak and strong depending on nothing but plot armour (hello there pikachu thundering rhydon, tieing with latios then losing to snivy), so yeah ash's charizard being a badass doesn't mean he is a good pokémon. B) You played the main games, but never competitive or PvP, one thing people always complained on main pokémon games were how easy they were, basically the NPCs never really offer you any challenge whatsoever, which is good and bad, bad because you know you'll win without strategy, but good because you can use every single pokémon you want, including your favorites and you'll end up winning, so you could use every single one of the pokémon you want, starters, favorites, anything, and you would win. Your level 42 charizard did not win versus their level 35 pokémon with bad movesets because he is a good pokémon. When you actually start to PvP on Pokémon, and you start to rank up higher, when people actually want to win and will work to make their team better, just like every PvP game, people use what is good and perfect a meta, you will realize that a LOT of pokémon are simply just bad, and most of the starters actually fall down that category, including that blastoise you love so much. Blame it on Nintendo for making so many pokémon weak (although good luck balancing 850 pokémon and making all of them equally good), or just blame Niantic for not making you able to use every pokémon, like in the main games we have an easy storyline to playthrough with whichever pokémon we want TL:DR There are a lot of bad Pokémon in this game, the only reason you think they were ever good was because you could use them in the main games versus NPCs who were even worse, Pokémon go doesn't have these, so you'll always find the top of the top, and bad pokémon can't beat them [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 14 May 2017 03:50 PM PDT What is the speed limit for hatching eggs? I normally walk or drive. Tomorrow I want to hatch 4 10k eggs, is hatching eggs a good methode while cycling? [link] [comments] | ||
| What should I do to keep my interest in Pokémon Go? Posted: 14 May 2017 09:41 PM PDT I still like Pokémon Go, but my interest in even opening the app has plummeted. It really makes me sad because I used to play the game every day. The main problem is that I live in the classic rural area. Nothing good spawns where I live, and I live about an hour or so away from the Santa Monica Pier, but i'm not old enough to drive. What should I do because I don't want to completely lose my interest. [link] [comments] | ||
| Am I the only one that loses interest in a certain Pokemon when you already have it? Posted: 14 May 2017 11:29 AM PDT Not talking about every Pokemon, just some of them that are kind of rare but has no real use. Aerodactyl, Porygon (when you already have Porygon 2), Miltank, Skarmory... Whenever I see one on my radar and it's further than 500m~ I just desist. I know some players that are hoarders and want everything even if they have to change their route to catch it but I just want to complete my living Pokedex, so one of each is more than enough (talking about the ones with no gym/training use). Any thoughts? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 14 May 2017 09:02 PM PDT Title says it all. With the big reworks in the making and to be delivered soon (as far as the gyms go), I would love to see a way of rewarding your Pokémon from training and battling. Obviously Go is its own game and not the GB series. So, with PvP coming and training the gyms. Ya gotta hope that niantic will integrate training rewards. Which I would assume would provide dust. In the GB series you were rewarded with XP to level up. Dust is the equivalent of XP in GO. Thoughts. [Discussion] [link] [comments] | ||
| If your have finished your Regional Pokédex, what are your current goals? Posted: 14 May 2017 03:01 PM PDT I personally have completed my Regional Pokédex (although don't have all Unowns). I was wondering what people are tryig to achieve while we wait for a content update? I for one, am trying to get enough candies to evolve every species of Pokémon all the way to final form (be it future Generations or currently avaliable Pokémon) in preperation for when all Shiny Pokémon are added to the game. So if im lucky enough to catch a shiny, im ready to evolve it all they way to final form :). I am nearly at my goal, so much candy!! [link] [comments] | ||
| What do you consider a high trainer level? Posted: 14 May 2017 09:06 AM PDT I am wondering what constitutes a high level around here, I saw a post where someone was excited to go play with high level people at the Capitol and it got me wondering. So, when does someone get to "high level" status to you? [link] [comments] |
