| Posted: 14 May 2017 08:14 AM PDT Hey folks, I'm trying to get my hand on an Avarice Band, and I had a question for you all about how you go about farming for bounty items. I'm currently playing through it on T10, as I can fairly comfortably clear that with my DH; however, should I bump it down a couple difficulties so I can absolutely breeze through it? Note that I'm not necessarily dying on T10, I just know it would go slightly faster on say T9 or T8. Thoughts? [link] [comments] | ||
| Are there any other "viable" Necro build? Posted: 14 May 2017 07:52 AM PDT I can't access the necro forums yet, but it seems unless another wave of legendaries come out, this is what all necros will be herding. I wish the bone spear build wasn't linked to corpses, and pet set wasn't just mages -_- [link] [comments] | ||

| Should I make a season character? Posted: 14 May 2017 12:51 PM PDT When I started the game I made a non-season demon hunter to go through the campaign because I wasn't sure what the deal with season was yet, should I make a season character after I finish Act V and just use that? | Posted: 14 May 2017 03:44 PM PDT I have plenty of experience playing D3, but god damn am I just confused on what to do in D2.. Lvl 8 Necromancer, Single Player, LoD expansion, softcore [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 14 May 2017 12:48 PM PDT As the PoE league comes to an end, I remembered that D3 had a season going on. What are the good solo classes this patch? My favorites were Witch Doctor, Wizard, and Monk last time I played. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 14 May 2017 12:14 PM PDT I play on the console version of Diablo 3 and I'm going to have to play solo for a while. Are there any tips I should know for farming gear as I only ever really played and groups and was just useless in my pursuit of upgrading my character. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 14 May 2017 09:24 PM PDT So, I was thinking about ways to make paragon more interesting and I think I've found a way to solve 2 of its problems: no choice and totally flat progression. The solution is inspired by Civ 5's social policy trees. In civ every time you get enough culture (xp) to unlock another policy (paragon point) you get to put it in this tree. Some policies are required for others and every tree has a finishing reward. You can put all your points into one tree or spread them out. So, what would a Diablo version of this look like? Here's my quick mockup of a hypothetical offense tree. I'm sure plenty of people can come up with more creative stats, I just took them from the current paragon implementation. Of course unlike civ we get hundreds or thousands of paragon, so each node in the tree needs to take more to fill in. Benefits of this: 1) Choice. Every time you get a point you can put it anywhere you have unlocked. No more of this "get a point that can be put in defense this level" or worse "get a point that can only be put in mainstat forever." And because it's a tree they're more complex, interesting choices, you have to consider the prerequisites and finishing bonuses. 2) Big jumps in power. This is what makes gear hunting fun - finally getting a big upgrade. Here that comes in the tree finishers which will make you feel more powerful instantly. I don't know if my example is any good, but there's lot of room to be creative. Maybe one unlocks an extra passive slot and another drops you a new legendary gem. 3) Not boring in late game. We can make these as big as we want. I used 5 nodes in my example, but it could have 10. Or we 10 trees for that matter. Make it take like 5000 paragon to fill out all the trees and almost no one will get to the super boring +5 mainstat phase. [link] [comments] | ||

| Can't Kill D2 Diablo on Normal (lol) difficulty Posted: 14 May 2017 10:23 AM PDT Hi. Single-player file. Level 28 Zealadin. Diablo does that lightning/fire breath attack and it instantly one-shots me and my Act II merc. Gear: Helm: Tarnhelm skull cap Weapon: Civerb's Cudgel Shield: Pelta Lunata Buckler Gloves: Bloodfist Heavy Gloves Boots: Sander's Riprap Rings: Nagelring Ring + Garbage yellow ring Armor: Garbage yellow armor (plague hide chain mail, 108 defense, 10% fire resist, attacker takes damage of 2, 10% chance to cast lvl 3 frost nova when struck) Belt: Garbage Yellow belt Amulet: Decent Yellow amulet with decent magic find and resistances (that's where most of my resistances come from) I also have 'The Chieftan' battle axe but it's two handed and not having the shield I feel makes me squishier (I also can't use holy shield) Stats: LVL 28 STR: 72 DEX: 80 VIT: 78 ENG: 34 AR: 1548 (with zeal) LIFE: 328 MANA: 84 FIRE RESIST: 28 COLD RESIST: 20 LIGHTNING RESIST: 9 POISON RESIST: 22 Skills: Might: 11 Blessed aim: 1 (only putting one because I need it to get to fanaticism) Zeal: 13 Holy shield: 1 (I'm not listing all the things I had to put one skill point in to get to holy shield. I'll probably level this up more later on) Should I just farm Mephisto for the next like week until I get more gear and levels? Or is there something I'm missing? Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||
