[POLL] When did you first play Dayz? Posted: 28 Apr 2017 06:10 AM PDT Poll link here I was interested in the experience people on this subreddit have, how many started playing with the mod, how many have only gotten standalone recently, So I thought it would be interesting to make a poll - thanks for your replies! Posted: 28 Apr 2017 01:28 AM PDT Is there any way to make the ghillie suit cover the legs? Seems like a half-assed suit to me without it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Apr 2017 02:57 AM PDT I've played Dayz for quite some time for the PvP but I have never really though about building stashes and whatnot. I play on this server bluewaffleattackforce #2 uk 3rd person Persistant and I stashed a full tent and it was gone the same day. Was I really that unlucky that peopel manage to take everything in the tent and take the tent in their hands without dropping a single item in the ground or have I misunderstood the sever? Its not possible to stash things on that server? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Apr 2017 04:23 PM PDT I had an epiphany when realizing there are only 15 posts on this sub today. It occurred to me that the Devs have finally outsmarted us. They purposely slowed development to glacial speeds in order to snuff out this toxic sub. Well played Hicks, well played... [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Apr 2017 07:00 AM PDT Hey, I haven't played dayz properly in two years, I got around 700-800hours on dayz in 2015 with my "squad" and we would like to play again for a bit. I've been on and off dayz this past 2 years and went through the 0.60 update and optimization, so I'm wondering what's the loot system like now? And is the route still spawn at the coast and run to North West for fights? Basically has much changed and should I bother playing it? [link] [comments]
The Man in Black (A DayZ True Story) Posted: 28 Apr 2017 06:09 AM PDT Me and my friend Ron had been through a lot, we were ambushed on our way to Cherno. We survived after we killed the 2 fully geared guys, Ron got a blaze while I got an sks. We made our way down to Komarovo. Ron went to loot the police station, being smart he pulled out his double barrel shotgun, I went to loot the rest of the town. Suddenly cries came from the police station, gun fire followed. 2 shotgun shots followed up by a bunch of cracks. The shooting stopped. A bunch of zombies began running into the police station through the front door, I snuck in through the side. Ron was telling me a guy was in the station, although Ron died he said he should have landed 2 shotgun shots on the man, stating it didn't make sense how he died. I listened and hear the man alive upstairs closing doors, I figured he was going to heal up, and while the zombies blocked the downstairs I rushed up there. As I rushed up the stairs the man threw himself around the corner, I froze.... the man was wearing all black, a black shirt, pants and backpack. He wore a gas mask covering his face. He looked at me as I rushed him, I could tell his backpack was ruined meaning Ron had hit him with the shotgun, this guy was probably low. I raised my sks and fired 4 shots into him, 2 confirmed shots hit him due to the blood I saw come from him. One shot in the leg and the other in the shoulder, this guy surely had to go down. Our bodies collided and I got sent sideways, as I turned around to see the man covered in blood which was staining his black clothing, I was hit by his shotgun. I was unconscious for about 3 minutes, thinking he may have went down after me. I then died, which means the guy was probably still alive, I had the healthy status and was not grey when I went down. Me and Ron spawned close and headed back as fast as we could. When we made it back to the police station we were shocked about what we found. Our backpacks, clothing and items were scattered throughout the station. We looked at our ruined gear, I then looked in a room to find a burner with a pot on top of it, still cooking. I lifted up the lid of the pot to find burned human meat inside, our meat.... our flesh. It was obvious the man in black lived, killing us, taking our stuff.... eating us. Little story I thought I share (This happened, Spooky) [link] [comments]

I want to play DAYZ, please help. Posted: 27 Apr 2017 09:48 AM PDT Hey all, I have watched DayZ streams for a few years now and do not have a gaming PC. I know DayZ has it's problems, but I think I would really enjoy it. Problem is I don't have a PC and know almost nothing about components and what will play it at what settings. https://www.ibuypower.com/Store/iBP-Armor-720FX would that computer be able to play it at decent settings or can someone direct me in the right direction? Thank you for all the help. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Apr 2017 02:13 PM PDT I've been stalking this game for years on YouTube, is it even as fun as the videos make it out to be? If I do buy it is there a good sight to find maps and events? Are there events? Any recent info would help me out with buying this $40 game. I don't really have money to spare for just anything. (yeaaa rent and food, mostly food) I'm trying to justify buying this game.... [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Apr 2017 12:39 PM PDT I used to play DayZ via the ARMA 2 mod. Convince me that the standalone version of DayZ is worth getting. It's currently on sale on Steam for 15% off. [link] [comments] |
