Wrong packs were pre-ordered, while EU tried to prepare
In hopes that Greatfather Winter would for once first go there.
Hello, I am Frostivus. Nine months ago I did Go West, Young Brode, a fanmade set that Ben Brode called awesome. This Christmas, my team and I worked on a present for Blizzard.
Dear Blizzard, after giving us the most amazing adventures, parties, and expansions, we want to give back to you. We, a team of 30 or so voice actors, sound engineers, composers, and coders from over dozens of time zones came together to work on this project these past few months.
Please accept our humble gift: Winterveil Wonderland, a fanmade, fully-voiced Hearthstone expansion.

Go ice skating with Jaina. Visit the observatory with Malfurion. Enjoy the parade, conducted by Uther. Help Valeera sneak presents under chimneys. Stop the evil Dr Juggler from ruining the holidays. Rediscover the true meaning of Winterveil.
Set aside all grievances about balance and drama. At the end of the day, we love this game.

- The goal of the website is to give hearthstone players a more concise and clear overview of the decks in the current meta and their variants.
- The key feature of this initial release is the ability to compare decks of the same type. This allows you to make better choices when you're building a deck. No matter if you're trying to tech your existing deck to better deal with a new trend, or if you're looking for replacements for cards you don't have, seeing all successful variants of a deck side-by-side helps you decide which cards to pick.
- And we've got much more coming down the road, especially in terms of tracking the meta and translating that information into deck building suggestions.

Last Minute Christmas Gift to drag a friend deeper into the swamp of Hearthstone

Yesterday I spend the last evening before driving home for Christmas with a friend. Was pretty fun, but until then I was under the impression that we aren't getting each other Christmas Presents, since we didn't really talk about it before (more like: I didn't get him something & I hoped he is as lazy as me.). Anyways he handed me a wrapped present right before I headed home and I realized that I fucked up.
So while thinking about what to gift him back with my limited time, I remembered that I recently purchased the Hearthstone Welcome Bundle after playing "Free-To-Play" since open beta. Of course I got snarky remarks that I'm now "Pay-2-Win" but I knew he was also interested in the Bundle, because of its pretty good value. I decided to gift it to him, just to make him one of us p2w tryhards. I stayed up until 4:30 a.m. and drew him a picture over which I taped a 5€ note. I already handed it to him but wanted to share it on here because afterwards I thought it actually turned out quite good.
Here's the picture.
I used Jaraxxus Card Art as a reference since he is his only Class Legendary.
And as a last note, I obviously don't have a problem with spending money on Hearthstone. Its more of a running joke to label each other as Pay-2-Win. I don't really want to buy packs or arena fees with money, because it feels better to earn them through playing (also I'm a student, so not really a keeper of great riches). But I'd like to get some alternate Heroes if they release some new cool ones. And I'm glad that many of you are spending fortunes on this game so I can play all the new shizzle Blizzard releases.

The "Gift Exchange" tavern brawl was by far my favorite. I was sad to see it go and waited all year to play it again...

...and now instead we get clockwork brawl recycled again. Gift Exchange was honestly the only brawl that to me felt worth playing for more than just the free pack. It was so much fun with such a different strategy to it, and I don't understand why they didn't put it up again. If they had come up with some new winter-themed brawl I would've been ok with it, but if they're just going to recycle a brawl anyways why not do the Christmas one?
