I lost a good friend of mine and I wanted to try to make sure his guild knew about it. I don't play wow, could someone spread the word for me?

Blizzard keeps ignoring that there is a terrible particle optimization issue since Legion
Posted: 22 Dec 2016 10:28 AM PST
Since the Legion prepatch there is a critical performance issue related to particle effects. Some things, like lava, old world particles, enchants, rain, dust, spells and fire cause a huge fps drop. In warlords I could easily play at 60 fps in old world zones, but in legion I had to decrease the render scale and particle count to play smoothly in the same zones, with the exact same view distance and settings. It has nothing to do with the new map engine, because it happens in the character selection screen and the dressing room as well. I made a post in the forums, and noticed that many people are having the exact same issue (most of them with high-end PCs):
https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20747725478
However, Blizzard never gave an official response (besides a blue generic answer), and the post was deleted some weeks ago without giving a reason (I had to open a ticket to recover it). This bug is critical, and some people with mid or low-end PCs can't even play the game. If you are affected by this problem, please make a post in the forums and open a ticket. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Perhaps a dragon hero class wouldn't be too ridiculous...
Posted: 23 Dec 2016 12:28 AM PST
Watching a few lore videos makes me wonder if the dragons do have a potential of being a new hero class.
Start up a character and you awake in Nefarians Lair, a small whelp hatching from an egg being experimented upon by Nefarian's cronies. You grow older and a voice (Krasus, Nozdormu?) tells you that you're one of a clutch of successful Chromatic dragonflight eggs.
You master some basic abilities then discover the Lair is under attack by the Alliance and Horde. That voice has stayed with you all these years, whispering encouragement to break free of Nefarian's grasp and tells you that this is your chance. You choose which faction to side with and shapeshift to camouflage yourself as a member of the raid. You help kill the Black dragon, your Chromatic nature allows you to access the innate abilities of each of the flights; Black dragon lore allows you to tank, Red/Green dragon lore allows you to heal and Blue/Bronze lore allows you to be a dps caster.
After the battle the voice tells you to slip away. You and the other Chromatics stay in touch over the years and stay in the shadows, within their factions but after the events of Legion you decide you can't hide any longer and reveal yourself to Anduin/Sylvanas, pledging publicly your loyalty in the fights ahead. As you go on Wrathion would probably show up to embroil you in his schemes.
Your race would of course be that of the dragonkin, chromatic so as to allow for the various abilities. This doesn't necessarily mean that 'dragon' would be the race you'd choose on character creation, rather you would choose from the existing roster but that choice would be your chosen camouflage form. Perhaps as you build power more of the dragon would emerge through your camouflage; scales, a tail, horns etc.
As said above your spec would represent one or two of the dragonflight's expertise, black leads itself to tanking but perhaps bronze could also- reversing time to mitigate damage. Red and Green both being 'life' attuned lend themselves to healing. Blue certainly leads to magic and dps (yes a new caster class!) but so could bronze, selectively aging your opponent to harm them or slowing them. You could conjure etherial claws to tear at your oppenents from a distance.
I'd say mail wearer, scale mail being the obvious wink 'n nudge, possibly leather because you could end up wearing armour crafted from the skin of other dragons which would be quite metal. And messed up.
So, yeah... Perhaps not too ludicrous a prospect. You could even drop you camo to become a flying mount. Who doesn't like being a dragon?
