Here is his youtube where you can see his work. https://www.youtube.com/user/niceytchannel

Starcraft 2 has never been in a better place for fans

Posted: 19 Dec 2016 04:57 AM PST

Hey guys,
At the time of this post Innovation, soo, Dark and Byun are all simultaneously streaming on twitch. That made me reflect on the changes since LOTV release and I cannot express how much better from my perspective the scene has become. Since there have been a lot of post this year about Proleague ending, kr sc2 dying or sc2 being a "ded game" in general, here are some of the things we got out of LOTV so far:
1) Innovation and many other top kr pro players are streaming on twitch/afreeca.
To those who don't understand the significance of that, just try to travel back in time 1.5 years and think how often were you able to see top level of play or how often we could see Innovation in action. No online tournaments, cause KESPA rules, no streaming cause coach/team forbids. For me just Innovation streaming is honestly sth I did not expect would even ever happen.
2) Foreginers can actually compete with Koreans.
I know that the sub is somewhat divided on all the topics surrounding region lock, but one thing we can't argue is the results, the overall skill of foreign scene has went up. People like Nerchio came back and started dominating multiple events, players like Neeb, Snute, Showtime, uThermal and many more have reached new heights and probably continue to grow. Considering the highlight of 2015 was Lilbow barely advancing to Blizzcon and the proceeding to go 0-3 against Life in one of the least competetive series he had that year, I am going to say it got so much better.
3) TB came back with Shoutcraft Kings.
Well, this might be just my opinion, but for me, Shoutcraft this year has been more entertaining than any other single event including Blizzcon. Many will disagree on that, but I hope everyone is just glad we have this event going strong into 2017!
4) The game itself is much, much better for spectators
I think among those who complain about LOTV many never experienced HOTS or decided to forget how it went. TvZ? Better prepare for an hour long mech game where I take the whole map. PvZ? Oh boy, I wonder which 2 base allin with gateways proxied/not proxied we will see. PvT? Someone said pull the boys since Terran does not like late game? In any case especially near the end of HOTS most build orders got figured out and in LOTV simple build orders don't matter as much, since execution is much more important. So you could say that most Terran's nowadays go for 2/1/1 and then they have 3-4 viable transitions from that, but how they execute it is the most important part. Don't believe me? Go back to the first line of this post and go watch Byun's stream :)
5) I may be wrong about numbers here, but it feels like there are more community based events than before. Between Wardi's league, Gauntlet, go4sc2, Basetrade events etc. there is almost no single day without starcraft action.
6) And did I mention Innovation is streaming? :D

Posted: 19 Dec 2016 02:26 PM PST

Hi guys, sorry if this is super obvious but I've been looking around to no avail. Does anyone know of any place where I can get a playlist of artosis casting broodward or tbh any broodwar tournament from the last couple of years?
Thanks

Stukov Commander - your thoughts?

Posted: 19 Dec 2016 10:10 AM PST

Some have already reached level 15 with him, and probably tested out level 90 with him by now.
What are your overall thoughts about him? Strengths? Weaknesses? Anything that you consider OP, and need to be adjusted?
My own thoughts are;
  • easily the most fun I have had with commanders, his arsenal opens up for a lot of ... unorthodox strategies.
  • maxing citizen building, spamming bunkers while maximizing weapons/armor = very OP - when mixed with infestation, Aleksander and Apocalisk.
  • i don't care about diamondbacks, banshees, siegetanks, liberators, queens or troopers
