Hey Zelda fans! Back with another Legend of Zelda Dungeon Discussion! Make sure to check out last week's discussion here and as always, make suggestions heard for later discussions.

Upvote to encourage discussion! Not only if you like the dungeon.

Now for this week's dungeon . . .

Dungeon #60

Mutoh's Temple Exterior | Interior

Here's a bunch of key discussion points to take into account when critiquing.

  • Overall Look and Theme of the Dungeon
  • Bosses and Mini-Bosses: Difficulty, Creativity, Innovation
  • Key Items of the Dungeon and their Application
  • Enemy Type (Difficulty, Uniqueness, Number)
  • Overall Length, Difficulty, and Flow of the Dungeon
  • Puzzles: Difficulty, Creativity, Innovation
  • Potential for Exploration vs Linear Design
  • Replayability
  • Storyline Implications
  • Dungeon Theme: Music and Atmosphere

God, that's an embarrassing spelling mistake I've been making this whole time.

Next week we'll finish Twilight Princess with Hyrule Castle.

Why do the monsters keep changing

Posted: 24 Dec 2016 09:22 PM PST

I've noticed it that certain enemies through each game have different forms a an example would be the moblin in wind waker they look like a pissed of pumbaa from lion king, skyward sword and warriors they look like Japanese oni and now in breath the wild they look sick but tall as fuck .

The bokogoblins go through this as well with along with dark nuts . Is there really any explanation why monsters look different In each game ??

BOTW: Wii U or Switch?

Posted: 24 Dec 2016 08:38 PM PST

I pre ordered BOTW on Wii U a day after it's announcement. Now that the Switch is on the way, should I cancel my preorder and get the Switch version instead?

Never played a Zelda game before, where should I start?

Posted: 24 Dec 2016 11:15 PM PST

Despite growing up with a DS, a Wii, and later a 3DS, I never played a single Zelda Game. I didn't hate the franchise, I just never played one. Now I have a gaming pc, Wiimotes, a GameCube controller adapter, and a standard DS4 controller, so emulation is an option. Which should I play first?

Is OOT water temple the hardest Zelda water level?

Posted: 24 Dec 2016 02:23 PM PST

I assume that almost everybody agrees with the fact that water levels in 3D video games are really infuriating.

It looks like a lot of people on the internet are having trouble beating the temple from OOT but imo the Majora's one is way harder. I mean look at that labyrinthic map, those switches, the water flow management. I'm still traumatized even though I finished the game several times.

OOT's temple is rather easy if you do it in a methodical way and the boss battle isn't that hard.

There's also the lakebed temple from TP that I actually liked a lot, it was rather fun.

Which water temple do you think is the hardest?
