Eikelmann is a terrible person. I sponsored his trip to Smash Con, and I sincerely wished I hadn't. When I chose to help him, I didn't know anything about him and I saw an opportunity to help a guy that was down on his luck.

None of these headlines surprise me. On the phone, he told me that I was "essentially sponsoring the antichrist" and he proceeded to tell me all of the fucked up shit he did while he was drunk (including spitting in somebody's face) and he lied about winning sets on Smashladder just to spite others and be a dick. I met him at Smash Con, and I was nothing but nice but he seemed like a GIANT creep. He has the opposite of charisma. I didn't want to go near him with a ten foot pole.

I remember that he wouldn't even list me as his sponsor at first after I paid for his ticket because "he hadn't changed sponsors in a long time." I was nothing but nice to him when he got there, and he unfollowed me on Twitter when he got back because I guess I outlived his usefulness!

Nothing excuses this sort of behavior. If he doesn't get judged in this life, God knows he will be judged in the next. Good riddance, because this guy is absolutely full of shit and isn't sorry for a damn thing. He would have lived his whole life not saying a word if he knew he could get away with it. It gives me a sick taste in my mouth. I sincerely sympathize with all of the people that Eikelmann has hurt in his wake, and I am so sorry that they went through such hardship. It breaks my heart.

Not going to call this a leak because we have enough people doing that. A new render has popped up on 4chan. Looks really damn good in my opinion as Im almost certain i've seen every smash like Skull Kid render and I've never seen this one.

...is that they aren't acting like stuck-up, entitled pricks when given news of the Direct delay like any other community would.

Instead, they were fine with it, seeing it was cancelled due to a disaster and all.

Proud of you guys for not being every other video game fanbase when it comes to delays.

Potential Unpopular Opinion: I want more WTF characters

I love Smash Bros because along with Nintendo all stars and fan favorites we get characters people weren't even thinking about until they got added into the roster like ROB, Duck Hunt Duo, and Wii Fit Trainer and I want more of that! So far every new character we've had revealed has been highly requested and I'm very grateful for that (even if I'm not a fan of every character) because it shows they're listening to the fans, that being said I want someone who was put in just cause the devs thought they'd be a good fit or a complete curve. Every Smash has had at least one wildcard and I'm hoping we get at least one competitor that's out of left field for Ultimate m

We've seen many times Sakurai breaking character rules we thought existed in Smash, but what if we made them up for literally any inconsistency we can find? I'll go first. Donkey Kong is definetly not getting in. He's a stage hazard in 75m.

If I'm not mistaken the blog updates 9 pm EST every weekday, and it's currently 10. I don't wanna jump to conclusions because it might just be late for some other reason, but this could definitely signify that we were supposed to get Smash-related info in the direct today.

My faith in humanity is wasting away

I'm not talking about this subreddit, you guys are fine. But, the people outside this sub complaining about the Direct being delayed really grinds my gears. Earthquakes are nothing to just shove past. They kill people and hurt thousands and destroy houses. Now, to be fair, some of the complainers are probably children who don't get ethics and just want news. But, if you're older than, say, 14 years old, you have no excuse. Disspecial mention goes to GameFAQS' board on Ultimate. Someone literally typed "f*** nintendo forever for this." in a thread about the delayed Direct. DUDE. It's not their fault an Earthquake hit Japan on this specific day. When something big happens, you need one day to do nothing and pray not too many people got hurt and escaped safely. And, secondary disspecial mention goes to the people that thought the earthquake confirmed Isaac because of his powers in his franchise. People are janked, dude.

Smash Blog Post tonight

Assuming there was a planned character reveal on the Direct today, there may have also been a planned Blog Post about the newcomer. Would be a bummer if someone dropped the ball and didn't adjust the post or we'd be looking at another leak on the blogs part. I mean, not as much of a bummer as an earthquake taking your home (I've been there) but still a drag.
