Posted: 01 Sep 2018 06:47 PM PDT At Fanexpo I lined up for maybe 3 minutes (though for most of the day the line was massive and I only got in at the end of the day) to get the chance to play Diablo 3 on Nintendo Switch. I was playing with a massive Diablo fan apparently and when I opened the game I choose the barbarian because he had 2 swords. I began playing the game and was encountered with a boss fight. The first thing I noticed was how awesome the music sounded, and how slick the graphics looked. I expected them to be good, I mean Blizzard is great, but they where awesome. The controls seemed confusing at first but then I discovered holding down RB worked great because I just spun around and dealt millions of damage. It was a satisfying thrill. I spent atleast 3-4 minutes trying to figure out how to open doors and move between levels. The button was apparently the A button. At one point I noticed that we where killing a teddy bear boss, and a bunch of unicorns. My major gripe is that the sound of me murdering pink unicorns caused me to be unable to hear a description of what was going on. I murdered the teddy bears as well as the unicorns and went on to fight Diablo. He kept calling me Nephalem, so I assume that is who I am. The game was awesome, the graphics were really great for what I assume is a console which is less powerful than Xbox or PS4. I also got a cool pin. All an all, I expect the game to be a hit, and draw in a crowd of new Diablo fans. I for one will be picking up Diablo the next time it goes on sale. [link] [comments]
Any news about Diablo 1 servers? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 03:32 AM PDT A couple of months ago, this thread was created : https://us.battle.net/forums/en/bnet/topic/20763746276?xstoken=5f0354ec-ca0e-4eac-be9f-e62d33ccdada&detail=try&sessionPersist=forum.topic.post&page=1 It was a message for the Blizzard crew, to make them aware that as of today, it is not possible to log in the official Battle.net server for Diablo 1. As of today, it is not possible to post in this thread (multiple people including me get an error when trying to post), so here is a fresh one instead. > Now, when you try to log to Battle.net, it says that there is a connectivity issue and you can no longer join or create games. We all know that the Diablo 1996 Servers are running 'as is' but for our community, this means that the Battle.net experience is reduced to IPX or Hamachi. This has effectively killed the multiplayer experience of Diablo 1, the other solutions being much more limited and less widespread than what the official Battle.net server would provide. Diablo 1 might be an old game ; but it is still a good game to play, whether it be for nostalgia, or for discovering what "playing Diablo" was like in 1996. I hope Blizzard considers the issue with the Battle.net servers, and/or give us an official answer as for why they are not being updated. I would have gladly posted that on the official Diablo forum - and actually I did - but my post got deleted in a matter of minutes. I tried again, it is here, but might get deleted again by Blizzard : https://us.battle.net/forums/en/bnet/topic/20768646723#1 I wish you all a good day, potterman [link] [comments]
Diablo 1 + HD Mod or Hellfire + The Hell? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 09:50 PM PDT I've never played Diablo 1 and want to make 1 run through it for the story, seeing as much of the content as possible. Diablo 1 + HD Mod includes cut/restored quests. Hellfire has all the expansion content. While it seems that many people didn't care for it, I've heard good things about The Hell. Can I start in Diablo 1, do the cut content quests and then import my character/save into Hellfire + The Hell? [link] [comments]

Purchased diablo 3 when it came out in 2012 (?) Posted: 01 Sep 2018 05:42 PM PDT Like the title say. Played it for a couple. Didn't like it then and put it away until now. 6 years later, I log into my battle.net account and find that my game is not there anymore. Question is : have the game fundamentally changed. What I didn't like the most was the leveling because every single character within a class had the exact same perk at the same level and there was no real way to personalize your character other than with the loot. Has this changed? Just want to know if it's worth my time to contact blizzard and dig through old credit card statements. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Sep 2018 01:33 PM PDT It's the end of yet another season of no change since the latest big patch. Let's see how the classes are doing on the US. While rank 1 shows the close to maximum potential of the class, I personally find the ranks 900-1000 the most enlightening as the 'common denominator' of the class. Barbarian: 118, 96. Crusader: 124, 105. DH: 118, 99. Monk: 118, 100. Necro: 120, 102. WD: 112, 90. Wizard: 121, 101. Honestly, it's not that bad. 5 of the 7 classes are fairly close. But I don't think that a Crusader nerf and WD buff would be amiss. This post really has no meaning, maybe a quick look for people who don't follow the leaderboards to see what ranks people are doing. I died during Kormac's quest and revived in town. How can I get back to the quest? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 01:02 AM PDT There is no waypoint to go back and speaking to the templar doesn't start the quest again. Is it lost forever? [link] [comments]

What do you think the options are for season 15 themes? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 04:42 AM PDT The themes are potentially a way to really change up the gameplay each season with minimal work from the devs. I'm interested to know what people are thinking about possible themes for season 15. I felt like the consensus supported the idea but that double goblins was a bit of an anaemic option for the first one. I'd assume that the devs have already locked in the plan for season 15 but here are two questions for you. What would you like to see for the next theme? What do you think we'll actually get? Personally I'd be happy with anything that changes the meta groups but I'm expecting double bounty mats. [link] [comments] |
