Is it just me? Or should there be a cleaning icon in the order tab? Posted: 24 Jul 2018 10:29 PM PDT I find it quite annoying when I need to prioritize a someone to clean before I have designated person for it. [link] [comments] |
A friend of mine had a colonist forge an excellent sword, here's the quick story. Posted: 24 Jul 2018 06:44 PM PDT The sword was made because one of the three original colonists was still using a knife after years there, that colonist's name is Klara, married to another original: Evan. The quality also brought with it a piece of art, which, by sheer luck, was about Klara and Evan sitting by the fire on a party a few years earlier. I decided to write a short story about it: "Hey, Klara, come over here, you guys put up a bill for a sword on the taskboard and I figured out it was for you, so I... Might have gone a little overboard here." Klara: "Oh, wow, that's a really nice sword you made." "Yeah, well, it doesn't stop there, look on the other side, I engraved it with one of the best memories I have of you and Evan, that party we had last winter, when we finally had a moment to relax after so much work, I know it's a weirdly peaceful thing to put on a tool of war, but I think you guys deserve to have that moment eternalized in something." Posted: 24 Jul 2018 06:04 PM PDT I've done many despicable, depraved, devilish things in RimWorld, but I wanted to share my first: In one of my first colonies, I had just recently learned that raiders will often break through your walls and not always go for your very nice and pretty killbox. I had also learned that people do not very much like coming across human corpses, and even moreso if it is a rotting human corpse. I had built two perimeter walls, separated by one tile - so, kinda like one wall with a secret tunnel inside. And what I did was I stuffed the wall, all the way around my colony, with the corpses of the raiders stupid enough to attack my colony. So raiders had two choices: either go through my killbox, or break through my wall, only to be greeted by mounds of bones of those who came before you, and to have to stand among them to break through the inner wall. What do you think? Am I sufficiently evil to qualify as a true Rimworlder? [link] [comments] |

Some mod ideas / Is there a mod like this? (Warfare-focused mod) Posted: 24 Jul 2018 01:42 PM PDT So, I really like the warfare part of the game. However, some things I think are lacking in vanilla are: -More interesting rival settlements. If there were really powerfull bases, it could be a great addition to the game. Like, a powerfull extremely difficult to invade settlement, but with great rewards inside (gear, silver, rare items, w/e) -Actual reason to invade other than roleplaying. For instance, for smaller/medium settlements, instead of just getting their stuff, the reward could be their submission, sort of like a vassal state, and they would be forced into sending x ammount of resources/time. Could even go further into slavery by forcing them to send a certain type of colonist ("I want all the best crafters in the region or I'll burn their bases"). -More dynamic diplomacy. Maybe, when all-out wars are declared between factions, there could be a period of intense raidings, where they try their best to invade your bases (real tough raids) and we try to invade them as well, and whoever wins gets X rewards (war tribute, w/e). Are there any mods similar to those things? Sorry if its an obvious question, I did search a bit but couldnt find it, Im new to the game. [link] [comments] |
