How to set up my perfect gear

Posted: 06 Nov 2017 12:21 AM PST

Hi everyone, I have a question about how I should set up my CP160 gear.

I'm a Stamblade using dual wield swords and a bow who has just reached level 50 in all crafting types. I want to make some endgame gear to try out trials with. I was thinking of combining Hunding's Rage with Nightmother's Gaze and use monster pieces once I obtain them.

Now, I don't really know how many pieces of each set I should use. I was thinking 5 if Nightmother's Gaze (3 on armour and 2 on my swords) and 3 of Hunding's (2 in armour and 1 on my bow) and leave the head for the monster pieces. This way I cab switch between my bow and swords and get different bonuses. I won't be able to get the final 2 bonuses for Hunding's though...

Does this sound like a good setup? I'd love some advice :) thanks in advance.

There's a lot of speculation about a possible "Summerset" DLC for ESO. Here's how Zenimax should do it.

Theory craft

Posted: 05 Nov 2017 02:45 PM PST

Where can I find theory craft resources ?
Not something that stays on the surface but more something that goes deep into the theory (not afraid at all by formulas, simulations, etc.).

Which sets add passive visual character effects?

Posted: 05 Nov 2017 09:57 AM PST

Title!

I've seen numerous people running around with some rad visual effects.

I know for example, 5 pieces of one of the tank sets add 3 red glowing orbs around the character.

Another set adds green orbs, and some other set adds a purple glow to your shield and weapons.

What are the names of these sets? And am I missing any? :D

DX12 any official news?

Posted: 05 Nov 2017 11:29 PM PST

Over a year ago there were news spreading about ESO going DX12 - has there been anything since then? There are a few forum threads that pop up, but has there been any hint from ESO themselves? And before people start with "windows 10 is trash" crap, there is no reason to have a separate renderer for dx12 you can switch to IF if is supported (a lot of games do that these days).

Help with enchanting.

Posted: 05 Nov 2017 07:54 PM PST

So my crafter has reached level 30 I decide to make my own gear. That works fine until I try enchanting, where I burn through my runes trying to find a combination that will work with my new purple greatsword, and I haven't started on the armor yet. Is there a simple how-to for runes?

[PC] Give me all your Healer tips & tricks !

Posted: 06 Nov 2017 04:29 AM PST

Hello everyone !

I just made myself a healer whom I want to gear up properly to do Trials/DSA and in general any endgame content.

My healer is a High Elf Templar, currently wearing Spellpower Cure & Worm Cult. Undaunted is Maxed, all skills maxed, all passives maxed, need to level up Alchemy only for potions to last longer.

Now, I would like to hear any tips and tricks from you guys, experienced healers, or frustrated tanks, or resourceless DDs due to no shards/orbs from healers, what would you give as general tips and guidelines to a new healer ?

I followed the build of VanaEvr on Alcast's website, so my skill setup and gear setup can be seen there (but without Master/Maelstorm weapons, for now).

Any tips are welcome, from what skills to use and what not, what skills are priority, "rotations", what gear, how to behave in dungeons/trials, what to do in general, even a list of usefull addons, anything! I am blatantly new to the healing role in general in gaming, not just in ESO, so anything is helpful to me, I will sponge it all up.

Thank you all in advance! :)

Looking for info on moves

Posted: 06 Nov 2017 04:26 AM PST

Hi, I'm a new player so forgive me if this has been asked before but I found no info on this

I've started my character as a sorcerer. I've been playing with friends in dungeons etc but when they're not online I've been doing quests. One thing I've noticed when in the company of other random players is the moves they're using seem to decimate foes easily. I'm wondering what moves these are.

I was fighting alongside a level 20 (I'm a 31) and they were using a staff which turned into some sort of flourescent stick that they battered npc's with. What is this staff?

Also they used a move which dropped a ball of energy onto an opponent from a few yards away and took a third of their opponents health away. Whereas my moves seem to take an eternity to defeat an opponent.

I've set up my build like this: http://esoacademy.com/builds/solo-dungeonworld-boss-destroyer/ but I'm still struggling when I play alone.

I guess my main question is how can a LVL 20 deal so much damage with these two moves when all my moves combined take three times as long to defeat opponents? Also any info on the above would be great.

Templar Build

I want to make my first healer, and I want some tips for how I can build my healer for PvE. Race doesn't matter that much, class = Templar.

Thanks!

[Discussion] Nightblade Mage vs Sorcerer Mage

Posted: 06 Nov 2017 03:41 AM PST

Hello everyone. I'm coming back after a long time. And I mean like late beta, early launch.

I don't reall recal all the experimentation I did back then with the two builds so I'd like to ask around of what you guys think is the most fun.

I'm not looking for optimization but if a build just won't work then let me know. thanks in advance for the help and praise the god of worms.

Posted: 05 Nov 2017 11:35 PM PST

I haven't played eso since late 2015 and updating ps4 at the moment, will be playing again with a friend.

What are the major updates I should read up on and is there any advice anyone can give to a returning player.

Thank you.

Ayleid build

Posted: 06 Nov 2017 02:20 AM PST

Hey all. I'm wondering if there's any way I could roleplay my templar as an ayleid . I know they mostly used deadric magic but were there any that used holy or aedra magic? Seems weird to me to think that templar skills could be considered deadric magic but any way i could convince myself otherwise? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks all

Are ability visual effects gpu or cpu based?

Posted: 05 Nov 2017 05:27 PM PST

Is the show ally effects toggle helping to reduce gpu or cpu load? For that matter is are particle effects gpu or cpu based for eso and can you force one or the other? Bonus question: Has anyone tried running eso with coffee lake and if so noticed any improvement?
