Are you alright???

I played the Dragonborn theme song as we ascended the Sun Gate in Machu Picchu, Peru. It made the journey 1000x more epic than it already was. I timed it perfectly to align the song as we get our first view of the city in the sky! Enjoy.

Survey about co-creation in video games

Posted: 06 Nov 2017 05:24 AM PST

Hi!

The mods were kind enough to allow me to post this here, thanks!!

I'd really appreciate it if you could fill out my survey I'm doing for my master's thesis. It's a short survey about co-creation in video games (content created/designed by/with the community).

It should only take about 5-10minutes of your time. Everything will be confidential and anonymous.

Thank you very much!

You might find this in other gaming subreddits if the respective moderating-team allowed it.

Green Pact Approved Weapons

Posted: 06 Nov 2017 06:27 AM PST

So, recently read about the Green Pact and have a query.

If they are not allowed to harm plants or trees for betterment or construction, how do they make the bows and arrows they are so famed for.

Back in the game after a year, here somethings I noticed

Posted: 06 Nov 2017 06:38 AM PST

I was waiting to get a new PC in order to play the enhanced version, but after a weekend of Skyrim Pinball (it's really fun) on my phone, I decided to jump back in in the Expert Difficulty and here's my take:

  • One-Handed and Shield are OP in the early game: Dragon is about to flame you? Shield his head. Bandit Chief is coming for a power attack? Shield his face. Bear is coming for a rush attack? You die, no matter what (hey, not everything is perfect).

  • No fast travel makes things a lot more interesting: My loot hoarder self screams when I need to throw something away before I get the chance to sell. Small villages with no merchant are just painful (looking at you, Ivarstead).

  • Well rested is an important status to have: Really. Having those skills upgrading faster are just vital to your survival.

  • Animals are terrifying and make Shrines an important asset: I don't care what god I'm praying to, just get rid of this damn Bone Break Fever. Fucking wolves.

  • Why the hell there's a Frost Troll in the High Hrothgar path? Seriously, what mean spirited person did this? I took me 20 minutes to lose that bastard using the mountain side.

  • Defensive perks, please: Some would say that you should never invest in armor perks. I for one, disagree. It's a good ability to have.

  • I love sneaking and alchemy, but they slow the game too much: Seriously, I'm glad I chose to not pick every ingredient I encounter this time. Combined with the Battle Mage style of play, dungeons are quicker to do now.

I welcome any suggestion for free mods that could make the survival aspect more needed. I really don't want to pay 30 dollars for that.

Cheers!
