People often honor people who carry you but tend to forget to do so when the person was actually nice to them throughout the game. I'm not saying people shouldn't be honored for carrying, but it kinda takes the purpose of the honor system

Having watched a tonne of pro play in the past week and then playing my first game of the week in Silver Normals with 2 other mates I realised just how bad at the game I am. Playing thresh missed almost all my abilities, but hey my mate playing Ezreal was AFK split pushing while we 4v5, cause what is macro? My other mate played Nunu top vs Bork Braum and my Xin didn't take my lantern and died. The enemy team wasn't any better, walking into our fed Aurelian Sol multiple times and just dying. Whole game was full of this stuff. Made me realise we are all trash and I don't care. Most fun I've had in league in a long time.

U.GG feeding for charity live, featuring Doublelift

At 2pm PST / 5pm EST / 9pm GMT today Doublelift and U.GG will be hosting a charity stream on Twitch.tv/Doublelift.

We (Doublelift + U.GG Staff Members) will be playing a couple hours of Nexus Blitz games. Depending on the outcome of those games, we will be donating the following amounts to charity:

 

$25 per U.GG death

$25 per Doublelift kill or assist

$250 per victory

 

Why? Instead of giving our money to Google and Facebook for advertising, we thought it would be best to find a way to generate exposure while also supporting a great cause.

 

That's where CityYear LA comes in. They are an organization that provides support for underprivileged and disadvantaged kids by partnering with schools to provide diverse, talented and trained young adult tutors, mentors and role models who work alongside teachers to support student success. I see a lot of threads offering coaching from high elo players. This is NOT one of those threads.

My background:

I SUCK. I've been playing league since season 2 and am still in Gold. (Only reached Gold two seasons ago and have been stuck since).

I'm older, 35, a dad with 3 young kids, and I am mechanically terrible! And after all this time, I still forget to look at my mini map.

BUT....

I can give you dad advice on League!

What does that even mean you say?!

Well as some of you may know, there are many life lessons that can be translated into the game.

An example is how staying mentally tough keeps you focused and gives you a higher chance of winning. That's not a mechanical lesson. That's a life lesson.

But who are we kidding? Those aren't valuable lessons. You want to know how you can instantly win!

I'll teach you thinks like,

"You see that animation when thresh looks likes he is about to whip it good? That means you best get to steppin because he's about to whip out his belt and give a good spankin!"

Or, "You see that girl who puts daggers everywhere on the ground? Don't get near her or her daggers. She's there to stab you in the heart and take your money. I think her name is Katarina, but I call her a maneater!"

Or how about that blind guy? Don't underestimate anyone with a disability! This guy seems to always hit me with his Q and then proceeds to kill me. And for some reason he always manages to get out alive. Yea, stay away from him.

So if you think you could use some high level explanations on helping you get better at League, feel free to contact me and I'll watch your gameplay and commentate on it with my infinite dad wisdom!

Doesn't matter what elo you are in either.

  • Challenger? No problem. I'll help you overcome any challenge.
  • Master? I'll teach you how to master yourself.
  • Diamond? Diamonds are forever. No hope for you.
  • Platinum? I'll keep you here so that you don't get stuck in Diamond.
  • Gold? It's a soft metal. I'll toughen you up.
  • Silver/Bronze? Well I'm higher rank then you so anything I say is more important than what you think!

TL:DR (is that what you kids call it these days?)- I help you get good at League. You should listen to me because I give dad advice.

MagiFelix has always been known as an insane SoloQ player, but this is honestly breathtaking. Sad to see that he apparently can't translate his individual skill to the highest level of pro play, though. Also in no way am I trying to talk trash about Blade, I just found it odd noone is talking about MagiFelix.

Of these 5 accounst, 3 are confirmed to be his, but the most played champs on every accounts are basically the same, so its safe to assume that he owns all of them.

I'd love to see him stream, or one day even see him in the LCS.

Well allow me to elaborate, not too long ago riot confirmed that there are several breeds of yordles based on different animals. You've got cat yordles (veigar), dog yordles, badger yordles, and, that's right you guessed it, RABBIT YORDLES (as depicted in the pentakill mortal reminder video )

That isn't a cute onsie, he's hopping about in the skinned remains of one of his bunny-yordle brethren

Every time a new hero is released in another MOBA, let's say HoTS. There are plenty of "LoL is a dead game, this is better". Not to mention all those youtubers claiming the game is bleeding out. However, for some reason everyone ignores asia, especially china. There LoL is still BIG. And I mean really big. Fornite is #1 in the west, but LoL is #2 in west and #1 in asia. Fornite is not even top 10 in asia. Both in Korea and especially in china, Lol dominates the PC market (and it's mobile version Arena of Valor owns the mobile market in asia as well). So either way Riot/Tencent is on top of the world. Honestly I don't get this "League is dead meme" when you can just look up the numbers.

Tanks haven't been feeling so hot in recent patches, so we have added a new allowing for tanks who are looking to scale into mid-lategame.

Mana ballast - tear + aegis of the legion, total cost 2600g

250 mana, 40 armor/mr

for every 100 mana, gain 1% damage reduction.

Active - Convert 20% of current mana into a shield that explodes after 3 seconds, dealing damage equal to remaining shield and slowing all enemies for 2s.

Wait no ezreal put the mana crystals down

Sorting icons by Blue Essence should show you all BE icons first

I hope the title is understandable. What I would like is the following:
When I sort the summoner icons by Blue Essence (either ascending or descending in price), they should all be grouped together, preferrably at the front.

The icons are just in a (seemingly) random order and there's no way to easily see which ones cost BE, without having to scroll through them all.

C9 just did a miracle run by winning 8 games in a row and went from 3-7 to 11-7 and 2nd place in regular season

I still follow the subreddit but i take a lot of breaks from the game, and i have to say that after every single break the game is a lot of fun.

i think the problem that most people on this subreddit are having, is that they simply play too much, so if you dont have fun playing the game, i would suggest playing another game or taking a break from gaming entirely. After all, gaming isnt supposed to be a lifestyle, but rather a fun activity you enjoy every once in a while.

I have been playing League of Legends since the beginning of season 1, and have achieved a high rank in diamond and logged way above 3000 hours in the game, so i am no casual player. But if you dont have a shot at going pro, i would suggest you stop playing if the game isnt alot of fun.
