- I still see people talking trash about the Xbox development. Let's make this clear... AGAIN
- 3 problems with megaphones and speakers: audible range is too low and the user of a megaphone can not hear the reverb of his own words which breaks the immersion.

- I know some of you are worried about missing features or content. Over the last few years, there have been many features designed, and.. yak yak yaketi yak - This is code for "How many features can we throw overboard so the game is playable on a gamepad without players noticing?".

- While using radios to communicate is fun, the extreme white noise that is supposed to simulate bad signals ruins it. Other games make it sound much more realistic. In dayz it is just white noise like on a tv. (stress test)

I downloaded it and when we enter there arent any 0.63 servers available and if enter any server it disconnects us immediately. I dont understand how this works. After combining items that require a user action, the game automatically closes your inventory. Posted: 15 Aug 2018 01:44 AM PDT Whenever you do something involving two items from inside your inventory, the game - understandably - closes your inventory for you, ready for you to hold LMB and perform the action. Maybe it's just my muscle memory from 0.62, but I'm finding this incredibly frustrating, as I'm so used to hitting tab myself to close it that I end up cancelling the action more than 50% of the time and reopening my inventory. Would changing that default behaviour make sense to anyone else, perhaps adding some kind of indicator on the inventory screen that you have a pending action, or should I just adapt or die? Dayz 0.63 experimental - cannot open file Posted: 15 Aug 2018 07:20 AM PDT Hi, I'm an onld dayz player and I wanted to get back and play on experimental build. I made a fresh new install of Dayz and switch to experimental build, but after launch I always get an error message like that: "cannot open file addon\..." This is what I treid so far: - update graphic card driver - new installation - fixing cache for corrupted files - switch back to stable, launch it. this version works. - tried to clear all documents/user files NOTHING seems to fix m problem, so I really need your help. My Story of yesterday's stress test Posted: 14 Aug 2018 09:08 AM PDT I was in Vybor trying to get one of the new PA systems running for test-purpose. So I was looking for car batteries around the town when suddenly an armed player appeared next to me. It ended up in a short fight. After I reloaded my M4 and collected the loot, my walky talky made some noise and a player asked if anyone can hear him. I responded and we had a small talk. I told him being around Vybor. After a few minutes of a hopeless search to get these damn batteries I went on walking to another town. The stranger responded again over walky talky. He now was in Vybor next to the gas station. I turned around to meet him, but I doubted that this will work well for me... or him in the end. On my way back he recognized another player in the police station and got scary. We finally met up near the gas station and I gave him my M4. Both armed, we run into Vybor looking for the player. And we met him near the green house where I was looking for the PA. It went quite funny, because the third player used the megaphone to talk to us. He told us that he tried to plug the last Batterie in the PA, but it does not work. My new companion went with me in the green house to check, but we could not manage to get it work either. The other player went off silently in the meantime. I asked my new buddy to travel to the NWAF. And so the journey went on. We reached the ATC and found on top lost equipment of some poor souls, that lost their battle some time ago. Good for us, so we could change our stuff to a new M4 and an AKM, both with scopes and a lot of ammunition. 10 minutes later we got a little bit bored and made some practise-shots on zombies and cows on the airfield. Shortly after we got an answer from far behind the ATC; ... shots! We run back in the tower to overwatch the area when suddenly the bullets fly by real damn close. Immidetly we dropped on the ground and tried to figure out the position of the attacker. After a few minutes 2 people rushed over the airfield. I screamed to my buddy where to look at and we both tried to snipe them. First one went down behind small debris. I lost sight of the second one but Louis told me that he watched him seeking cover on the same place where his dead buddy lies. So we switched on the walky talky again, reloaded and I run down trying to flank the last guy. Louis stayed in touch with me and did some suppressive fire from the top of the ATC. Just when I got near, the last guy went up and rushed in some bushes. But with his scoped M4, Louis managed to hit him. I could see the guy now limbing and knew he would not come far from here anymore. I shot the final bullet and the battle was won. I told Louis over walky talky to come down and we both felt so satisfied. None of us experienced a thing like this ever before. I love DayZ for moments like this. tldr; met a stranger via walky talky, we both went to NWAF, had an intense fight. [link] [comments] | ||
