- [Server] Custom maps work fine, but kick everyone from the server "connection lost error". They can join after, but some get duplicate ID.
- How come no one ever mentions the Survivalist reload is still broken during zed time?
Posted: 30 Jul 2018 05:20 AM PDT Today I had a very unpleasant game of killing floor 2 thanks to 1 player who kept on harassing not only me but 2 other players as well for our ''lack of skill''. I tried muting him but I noticed it didn't work. I kept seeing his messages even after I muted him. We tried to kick him multiple times but he had a friend in the server who wouldn't cooperate with us. My question is why is there a mute button if it only works on voice chat? [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 29 Jul 2018 05:37 PM PDT I understand when someone says that most maps feel claustrophobic but tbh that is something that makes the game more challenging (excluding closed maps like the descent and power core, that's just stupid). I downloaded some from the workshop but 99% of them are too open and some even let you jump really high (Water on Mars, Coliseum), I don't see what's the point of that. Any suggestions? A bunch a random questions from an okayish player Posted: 29 Jul 2018 08:24 PM PDT What classes are best for boss waves? I'm leaning towards medic, zerker, and gunslinger. I'm thinking of switching to gunslinger or medic if I'm playing a trash cleaning perk for the boss wave depending on what's needed. On the boss wave, when I'm playing as sharpshooter, would I be better off switching to faster reload instead of REU? It seems less likely that I have opportunities to take advantage of REU. Same for gunslinger, wouldn't bone breaker be overall better for the boss wave? I understand the loadouts for gunslinger, what I'm lost at is the actual prioritization/weapon buying order. It's kinda wonky with this class, do I buy deagles first? Typically, I'll use Sharpshooter or demo if the team needs a big zed killer since I'm on ps4. From what I understand, it's harder to use gs on console due to less accuracy and movement freedom you would otherwise get on pc. [link] [comments] | ||
Can't close my KF2 server after freeze Posted: 30 Jul 2018 12:05 AM PDT I tried to post this on TWI forums, but my posts never show up. Thought I'd try here. I host a private server just for my friends, but have only been doing so since v1067. I had a bear of a time updating to v1068 and I finally realized it was because I had this phantom instance of kfserver.exe running during the update procedure. I didn't think anything of it at the time, and I finally got the v1068 update applied and running. The first time I used it (gameplay) I had some issues with the server crashing. The larger problem was I couldn't terminate the kfserver.exe process. I usually close with CTRL+C in console, but the console was hung. Process manager couldn't kill it, so I rebooted. I was able to play for a while, but it hung again (this time before gameplay, during a game type change from webadmin). I tried to launch a new instance since I couldn't kill the hung process but the new instance would hang. Once again I had to reboot to truly kill the process. So I wiped everything including SteamCMD and installed everything fresh, redid my ini configurations from scratch, no issues. I launched the server (no gameplay) about 5 times and closed it cleanly with CTRL+C each time. The sixth time, it hung on closing. Task manager couldn't kill it. Taskkill /f in console with admin privileges returned 'no process found' using both name and PID. So I used a third party tool (Process Explorer) to try and terminate it, no dice. I tried eliminating every handle kfserver.exe had active and I still couldn't kill it. I can't seem to get a log of the hung process because I wiped everything and the last hang didn't generate one, but I am seeing the following during a clean close. The warnings after I start a close are the concerning part, but may be unrelated. [0109.82] Log: Flushing async loaders. When the console hangs after I try and close with CTRL+C, the last thing I see on console is usually the 'preparing to exit' and the nothing. I'll keep trying to see if I can get a log of an actual hung instance. Mainly I'm just looking for a way to kill the process so I can relaunch the server without having to reboot every time this happens. I searched the forums and didn't see anything similar to what I'm experiencing. Maybe it's just v1068 issue. Thanks in advance for any insight. [link] [comments] | ||

Last night we hit level 31 we had a solid af squad here comes scrakes. 4 die within time then it's just me on survivalist and a gunslinger we make it out just barely. Wave 32 hits fuckinf fleshpounds. It starts off slow I'm like wow this really isn't that hard we kill like 6..... And then 10 spawn at once and then they just keep coming. My god who thought that was even possible. We had a support, a gs, 2 swat me n commando. We got fucked me and gs last alive again, soon enough we split in a panic and the fleshpounds fucking goon squad us. It was like that picture of piper perri and those dudes except it was me and fleshpounds I just got tossed around SMH [link] [comments] | ||
Prestige experience bonus bugged? (Ps4) Posted: 29 Jul 2018 06:05 PM PDT So for the past few days i've noticed at the endgame screen that shows the experience earned that it only gives the the normal amount and perk bonus (ex. Shooting stalkers on commando). I tested my Support with 24500 exp and got a single kill solo. The exp earned was 14 with a 30% bonus of 4 exp, but I didn't get the extra 4. Tried again with my Demolitionist and instead of just a single kill I completed round 1 and die. The exp I had to start was 14550. The earned exp was 449 with a 30% bonus of 126. Again I didn't get the bonus. So I was curious is this for all 3 platforms, console only, or just me? [link] [comments] | ||

Is it worth it buying other ars besides scar? (Commando) Posted: 29 Jul 2018 09:39 PM PDT I only go for the scar and duel pistols because it doesn't seem worth it buying the other ars. Scar feels really op with that stumble power I like alternating between fast mag and extended doesn't seem to matter to much on hard. Also any tips for a level 15 commando? I have learned already while I can fight scrakes on my own I probably shouldn't and dont bother with fleshpounds [link] [comments] | ||

However, when I change to a non-default map, everyone gets connection lost to the server? Is this my host or can this error be fixed some other way. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 29 Jul 2018 05:08 PM PDT Seems I am the only one who notices that you will not reload fast during zed time. I am terrible at explaining. So you are reloading. ZED TIME triggers. You are still reloading sloooooow. But if you reload cancel and then reload in zed time, you finally get to reload bonus. They fixed it for gunslinger and demo. Why not survivalist ?
