Hello hello!

Epic has once-again released the upgrade packs into the game and this has brought some questions up for players. We'll try and gather some of the most frequently asked questions and answer them here.

What comes in each package?

This graphic contains most the items included in each upgrade tier. Just note that if there's any mention of a friend code, that each code is replaced with 5 Troll Stash Llama tokens.

Is the Ultimate Upgrade on sale?

No. While the pack is for sale, it is not available at a discounted price.

Where are the Friend Codes?

As Epic mentioned in patch 5.0, the friend codes have been exchanged for Legendary Troll Stash Llama Tokens.

Why can't I see the Ultimate Upgrade?

You have to buy the Limited pack first before the Ultimate pack appears, the Ultimate pack is also only available within the game-store.

Why aren't the Upgrades appearing?

You may need to restart your game, or they have not become available in your region at this time. There is a delay with some online-stores updating in specific regions. We also have reports of users unable to see specific upgrades. There's no reported fix for this at this time.

How long does the sale last?

The sale lasts between July 17th and July 30th, it was confirmed in the 5.0 content update

If I own the Standard Edition and I buy the Limited Edition, will I get everything inbetween?

Yes. You'll get all the items for all the upgrade tiers that you don't already own.

If I own the Standard Edition and buy the Super Deluxe Edition, will that lower the cost of the Limited Edition?

Yes. The only cost that isn't effected is the Ultimate upgrade, which is a flat $99.00. All other versions go down in price if you buy a previous one.

I bought the game before the sale. What can I do?

You can try contacting support for the store you bought it through, but it has been known that companies will not refund the difference. Epic Games Support || PlayStation Support || Xbox Support

Will I get the founders exclusives in BR if I buy an upgrade pack.

Yes. You should get the upcoming founders exclusives if you purchase an upgrade pack. We're still unsure if you need a specific tier for the unreleased skins.

I bought the Limited/Ultimate package, why aren't my new weapons legendary?

The weapons you get you get from the package start out as rare. You get a quest for each one to unlock their schematics from rare to legendary, meaning 3 schematics each. It's suggested that you don't upgrade the rare and epic versions.

New Player PSA: Your Power Level determinates the gun damage more than the gun's own level, and mission levels will also cap your damage.

Think twice before you get into trading. My Haywire (Epic CZ-75) is level 42, and does 800+ damage per shot. I also have a Lynx (FAMAS) that does 2500 damage per headshot. However, when playing on a low level Stonewood mission (level 5), the gun's damage will drop and I'll do equivalent damage to if I was level 9.

Do not trade as all you'll do is have a gun that will break in 3 missions or less and you'll have to trade again. Craft your own things, and don't overlevel your weapons. Their level must match the materials you find in the world.

I met a young member of the fortnite community while on the job today. Energetic, mischievous, curious, full of questions and answers. The kinda kid whose day is made when you let em hold the flashlight for you while you work, even if it's not a particularly dark room. Kid is livin with his Gramma out on a farm, no other kids for miles. Gramma says Kid is here because "bad things" happened with his parents. I got the impression I shouldn't ask. While working I overheard a familiar orchestral title theme coming from his xbox. I mentioned it and Kid just positively gushed about how much fun BR and STW are. He showed me his collection of high level wep cards even though he was only PL 19 and the kid just seemed so happy to share his experiences with someone.

I know that trade spam and scams really, really aggravate folks around here, but this isn't just our game. It's Kid's game too. For some kids it might be the only thing they have to look forward to. There will always be toxic traders. But try your best not to be a toxic player in response. Thank you for your consideration.

Some lovely tips to all the players getting STW for the first time!

I want to be the first to welcome you to the STW community. It is a little different in STW than BR. Instead of trying to be the best, get out of the PVP mindset and switch over to Co-op. The ONLY enemy are the Husks. Fight the good fight, and work together with your team instead of against them.

With that being said, if you are new entirely to STW or an experienced player...here are some of the best tips I can think of at the moment that work for all!

If you have more to add or have questions...feel free to post them. Myself or others will be happy to help if we can!

  • Don't Trade

  • Power Level is better than a Strong Weapon

  • Don't put ANYTHING into your collection book until you know what it is! (Feel free to ask!)

  • Do not upgrade your weapon schematics until you are able to EASILY find the materials needed to craft them.

  • Survivor Squads play a HUGE part of the game! Don't Ignore them!

  • Level up Survivors Evenly!

  • Don't Leech, AFK, Beg, Grief, Farm in Public missions. If you need to farm for materials, do it in a private match.

  • Try to avoid playing Harvesting Outlanders in Public Missions ( Pathfinder, Recon Scout, Striker etc...)

  • If you plan on playing STW strictly to obtain VBucks to use on BR, you will not enjoy your time. It will become a chore to obtain the Vbucks and almost always results in players taking the "Easiest Approach" to obtain them...AFKing / Leeching. (Which is bannable!)

  • MOST IMPORTANTLY If you are unsure, ask!

Edit: After answering dozens of questions and DMs...I have but one more tip that out does them all.

Use the search feature within this reddit community to find answers to your questions that may have already been asked!

As much as I want to help answer each and every person here...Im only one person. Give a man a fish...he can eat for a day....teach a man to fish and he can eat forever! :D

Change the Med kit survivor to a survivor that puts a bounty on 1 specific mini boss husk

The survivor could place a bounty on a mini boss husk that will be marked on your mini map. Killing the husk rewards you with the medpack and going back to the survivor grants you more than the usual loot.

Why are PL30 players allowed into Horde Bash PL76+?

Their base gets wiped out unless you build it for them, they cant kill anything because they can't even use traded weapons..

Seriously its killing the game mode.

Out of all the highest of lower players was 59.

Hello, with the expansion of the fortnite BR community, there are a lot of kids who play, and a lot of scammers in STW. If the two communities collides, STW will literally become unplayable because of all the cancer.

i was playing in high Plankerton an Atlas mission, we were 4, activated... and as.... almost always, 2 of the guys went to the opposite corner of the map to loot, gather mats and kill mimics (because they were talking to each other about that) etc... i reported them and told them that i did so, then one of them told me, dude, no one cares about reports, go cry and let us play as we want...

this is idiotic, i suggest a way to get "score" somehow... maybe +1 or -1, like karma, so we get matched with players according to our behaviour level (as a coop player).

i remember in league of legends we were able to check Friendly, good player, helpful... or something like that.

what do you guys think? sorry if someone posted this before.
