Let Console Players Press B During Operator Selection Posted: 29 Jun 2018 07:25 AM PDT When selecting operators, it's sort of a pain to press LB to go back to the selections to change your op choice, spawn, etc. Thoughts? Sort of tough to get used to. [link] [comments]
Switch to Pistol During Prep Phase for Max Speed Posted: 29 Jun 2018 07:26 AM PDT Setting up can take awhile and so can getting into the building on attack. Switching to the sidearm really boosts your speed, and I don't see enough people doing it. Just a friendly reminder. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jun 2018 07:21 AM PDT Currently there is either Casual or Ranked, where Ranked is for level 20+. I think this could be improved:Training ground, for levels 1-30: - Same timings and settings as casual, just for new players though in order to grasp the basics without being destroyed by somebody who has half a clue about the game. - Gives slightly above standard amount of renown and normal xp. Casual, for levels 25+: - Open to all players at or above level 25, the idea being a place to learn and play in a more relaxed manner, with the chance to play with a range of player abilities. - Gives standard amount of renown and xp Ranked, for levels 50+: - Full map pool, not the restricted one we have at the moment, higher level entry so that players who join will have somewhat of an idea what to do, rather than somebody who just got the game that same day. This mode would be aimed at players who want a competitive match up whilst having access to all maps, despite the fact we know some aren't perfectly balanced. - Gives higher levels of renown and xp. eSports, levels 100+: - Limited map pool to mirror whatever is chosen by that seasons pro-league, same timings and settings as pro-league, for more serious players, includes the pic and ban system as well as the "6th pick", essentially this is the full works and would require excellent game knowledge, hence the higher level entry. - Gives higher levels of renown and xp. Limited time playlists:- The idea of these is for a limited time towards the end of a season to bring out something similar to the following, just a bit of casual fun. The playlists could be as short at 48 hours or maybe up to a week long, but should serve as a quick casual change and to be seen as a bit of fun while still staying true to the idea of siege. Role Reversal, for levels 25+: - A mode where defending ops attack and attacking ops defend, obviously some ops won't make much sense in this scenario (namely the lord trying to make use of a static turret while attacking) but for a non-competitive mode for a limited time it could be a good bit of light-hearted fun. Classics, for levels 25+: - Normal casual mode, but with original operators, on original maps only. Very self-explanatory but could be a trip down memory lane for some of the longer playing members in the community. Modern, for levels 25+: - Same idea as previous but for DLC ops on DLC maps only, most players have enough of the new ops to be able to play and if not there is always the recruit! Clones, for levels 25+: - Casual settings. Before each round both teams vote for who they want to be their teams op, the round is then played with all 5 players playing as the same operator. Would be hilarious to see 5 Tachankas vs 5 Montys... Clones Reversal, for levels 25+: - Same idea as Role Reversal where attackers and defenders switch, but with the Clones aspect where each team votes for their operator. Would lead to hectic and crazy games. Basics, for levels 25+: - Casual settings but with recruits only. All defenders have unlimited reinforcements. New permanent game-mode concepts:Name: "Document" Rules: The defending team spawn in and on the ground will be a file (USB/CD/Briefcase etc) and it is their job to protect it from the attackers, who will attempt to steal it. The Concept is similar to hostage, except that the file is able to be picked up and carried by any player, similar to how the defuser is on the bomb game-mode. If a player carrying it is downed or killer, they will drop the file. The Attacking team need to find the player with the file, kill them, take the file and return it outside before time expires. The defending team may carry it anywhere within the map, and can choose to set up to defend it in any room, they may even choose to drop it somewhere to "hide" it before moving on and holding up elsewhere to distract the attackers. The attackers will not have a HUD notification for the file unless observed via drone or player, and so must actively look for it, if a defending player is seen who has the file then the HUD will indicate this. This is only a rough outline for the mode and has a lot to be added to and tweaked, if it were to be introduced I would suggest that it be added in casual only for players to get an understanding and feel for the new mode and then maybe moved to ranked after a set period. Thanks if you have read all of this, I care about the development of the game and its community and just wanted to throw some ideas out there, please leave some feedback if you like or dislike any of the above.[link] [comments]
