Mechanically easy Heroes are healthy for the game Posted: 15 Jun 2018 02:28 PM PDT Hello Reddit, I am writing with perhaps an unpopular opinion that mechanically easy heroes are healthy for the game. I am considering here the older age player base, where a mechanically demanding hero might not be the best enjoyment, they consider a lower skill floor hero. Mechanically demanding heroes are generally rewarded with fast reflexes, aim, focus, etc. Low skill floor heroes generally reward things like positioning, patience, strategy, etc. The younger player base does not have the wisdom to see the enjoyment of playing low skill floor heroes, and similarly the older player base does not have the time, reflexes, etc. to learn a mechanically demanding hero. I am wondering what you all think of that, I personally believe that having heroes that can compete for the older player base is healthy for the entire playerbase. submitted by /u/Jonzor689 [link] [comments]

To the mercy player in my comp team last night Posted: 15 Jun 2018 03:54 PM PDT I doubt this will reach you, but hoping it does. Last night you played Mercy and I was Orisa the first round and Brigitte the second one. You made amazing call outs during the first round first point and then noticed we were getting owned on the second point. You kept giving recommendations for how we needed to hero swap and kept getting ignored by the others in the team. We didn't cap the second point and one of the others said you were being a "b-word." [sic] At that point you went on mute (I don't blame you), but thankfully didn't drop game. I wanted to let you know I really appreciate you sticking around. I hero swapped to Brig because I knew tracer was griefing us hard. One of the other healers took the mantle of Orisa and we eventually won. Again I want to emphasize how much I appreciated you sticking it out even when met with animosity. I hope we get to play together again some time. I made a statistic for hero spawns for 100 rounds of mystery heroes. Posted: 15 Jun 2018 04:36 PM PDT Greetings, I have a lot of fun playing the arcade game modes. It's cool to have much less pressure and a unique way to play certain heroes in mystery heroes. But after a while I had the feeling they have a shield generator that I get more heroes I'm not very comfortable playing. I'm not a good sniper and have problems playing super agile characters. So I decided to take notes for 100 rounds of this game mode. You can see the result here. Some mildly interesting facts: Up to the 50th round the chart was very unevenly distributed. After that a normal distribution kicked in. Getting the same heroes in pattern like A-B-A was not as rare as I thought. Some conclusions: The heroes are not evenly distributed but that is typical for such statistics - we can conclude that the RNG is functional.
