Hello people of the fog! Monday Dev Q&A are weekly threads where you can ask questions, give suggestions and feedback about the game directly to the developers. Comments are submitted to the developers on Monday and answered Tuesday.

I got so triggered just now..

LF got someone down and immediately facecamps him with insidious and a charged up chainsaw. The hooked person got kindred so everyone saw that LF facecamps.

Me and another guy immediately realised what's going on and were doing gens.

Meanwhile a David (of course) crouched then went to the hooked person, and tried to unhook him and got downed as well. Then, as we only needed one more gen to do, david got hooked and immediately DC'ed so we even couldn't finish our last gen.

How fucking stupid do you have to be? You basically killed yourself and fucked over the entire team. GG

The loading process was quite long but I just waited

and TA-DA

only killer and me left. Well that's the second problem.

The first problem was that there was NO F**KING LIGHT in the Gideon Meat Plant

only a couple in the 2nd floor and NONE in the 1st floor

It was so scary .... Never saw this happen during the 500 hrs I've been playing this game.

and this really made DBD seem like a horror game.

Seriously, I needed a flashlight.

SO, maybe the Devs would consider trying these kind of maps for a future event... probably?

I find myself not even wanting to play, and I can't say I've hit a fatigue because I WANT to throw my Purple Juice at people and I want to make Jake look like a rockstar and knowing it's there and knowing I can't touch it makes me not want what I already have.

It's like your older sibling got McDonald's for dinner but you're eating mom's spaghetti... yeah it's good but... it's not Chicken Nuggets and there isn't a toy with it

So, I dont usually encounter the level of post trial salt tha I read about here. However, the last 2-3 days it has been seriously bad.

The last 4 games in a row have been pretty out there, I main billy, and i'm good, not amazing not bad just good.

Post game quotes directed at me include but are not limited to:

Get cancer n*****

I hope your family are raped by (a certain middle eastern religion)

I hope you have kids and they all die in a fire in front of you and you can't help only watch.

Your family deserves to be raped by n****** and have their throats cut

And so on.

I mean Fucking hell, take a nap. Have a cookie, go jack off if you need to but, its. A. Game.

Relax, you're gonna give yourself a hernia or a stroke or something.

Wtf happened the last few days?

Wasted potential of MacMillan Estate

In trappers bio we learned that he led over a hundred men into a dark mine and sealed them in. HOW FUCKING COOL WOULD THOSE MINES HAVE BEEN FOR A MAP!!! Imagine maze-like, truly claustrophobic tunnels with very little light. There could even be corpses of miners by the exit gates and so on.

Survivors Who Do Nothing (Rant)

I just joined a game with 3 random survivors. Upon spawning in, I found and started a generator. A survivor who spawned nearby walked around me while I was doing the generator, occasionally teabagging as he went, and let me do the entire gen alone.

After a few minutes I got hooked, and the other survivors auras were revealed to me. The same survivor was standing off in the distance walking around an object. He was not doing a gen and he made no effort to come to unhook me.

I got rescued by someone else, but was hooked a second time after being tunneled, and again the other survivors auras were revealed. The killer went off in the opposite direction of this same survivor, running randomly as if being chased, STILL not doing a gen.

So the entire point of this rant is to ask a question: WHY do some survivors feel the urge to join a game and do ABSOLUTELY nothing to contribute? I understand if they're just in it to get bloodpoints, but how are they supposed to get any significant BP count when they do nothing? Is it not entirely pointless to do no gens, no heals, no rescues? You get almost nothing for doing nothing, right? I am so confused, and so annoyed. I wish there were a system in place that punished survivors who spawned and do nothing, such as a BP penalty for not doing an action within a certain time. Has anyone else experienced this?

What I would love for The Pig (as a Pig main)

PLEASE. If the Saw theme can't be added at any point during the match, then this is what I ask for:

  • Make Billy the Puppet's laugh be heard across the map when someone dies by Reverse Bear Trap
  • When you die by The Pig, you hear ''Game Over''
  • When a survivor escapes, they hear ''Congratulations, you're still alive. Most people are so ungrateful to live, but not you, not anymore.''

I'd love this :D

I just wanna complain

I used to play almost exclusively killer, survivor only for rituals and with friends etc. This month I decided I really wanna rank up for once, possibly make it to 1 though I know thats a lofty goal for my first real attempt. Just for the sake of reference, my build is Dead Hard, SC, Borrowed and Spine Chill (I realize its not super meta but I like it)

It started out alright, the path from 20 to 15 wasn't much of an issue at all and there was lots of variation in the matches. But after that it started stagnating. I suddenly got caught first in every match, sometimes the killer even seemed to ignore everyone else in favor of me. Once I got hooked half the time I immediately got farmed to death, which I can't really blame the killers for at all. It seems like I get a good match followed by a bad match on repeat and I face nothing but Billy and Nurse, more often than not with Mori. Yes they're probably the best killers and I understand why they're picked, and as a killer player (though I play other killers) I'm also aware these are common noob complaints, but it's just frustrating.

What's also annoying is sometimes I can't tell if I did a bad play or if I just got unlucky, which doesn't help me improve.

I don't know what kind of replies I'm expecting honestly, I mainly wanted to vent a bit since I'm kinda disheartened right now. Suggestions for a better perk setup or any advice you wanna offer are welcome though.
