| Posted: 14 Jun 2018 02:36 AM PDT So I survived long enough to get TTsKO Pants,Smersh Vest,TTsKO Jacket, AK74, 4 mags and ammo, Glock 19 with 3 mags and ammo, extra ammo. I got greedy and went up to the base near the mine and meet some wolves, ran into a shipping container and started killing wolves. Now this is important. When killing wolves with very loud guns you attract attention, now i have zombies and a second pack of wolves and running out of ammo. I died. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 14 Jun 2018 08:20 AM PDT Does the experimental branch have the same amount of features as the stress tests or is it an actual dayz experience with the guns and stuff on the exp checklist? Cause if its just stress test 2.0 ill wait to dl until later [link] [comments] | ||
| 55 minutes to the NWAF only eating food dropped by infected Posted: 13 Jun 2018 06:23 PM PDT Proof very boring not worth watching and not a recommended play style just wanted to show how easy this is: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/272979745 It gets real dark for the final run from Kabino to the NWAF, sorry. More or less stopped looting after I found a can opener. Had 3 cans of pop, one can peaches and a kiwi. I passed up a pop found in a shed, killed two chickens and skinned them but did not eat as well as a apple found on the ground. Food is just not an issue even if you don't like looting. Started eating my non infected food in the NWAF as the infected there mostly drop ammo and kit. [link] [comments] | ||

| My first experience with stress test and my concerns Posted: 13 Jun 2018 11:58 PM PDT So I played stress test #24 with my friend several hours ago and it was a great experience. It what nice using the new systems and trying our hardest to evade the imminent threat from the infected was fun (I think they are going in a great direction with the infected). But what I didn't like so much was the amount of time we had to spend constantly looking for food. Out of the three hours we played, we were trying to make our way up north and we spent almost all of the time looking for food. It was very difficult to make any progress doing anything because the food was so scarce in the towns we looted and we were constantly hungry. So after inevitably dying to hunger, I decided that either food is too rare or you run out of it too quickly. I don't know if it was the server I was on or if I just wasn't having much luck with anything. I haven't really been following much of the development in terms of what they're doing with the stress test so I don't really know what they have said about tweaking these things (so I don't know if they are or not). But anyway, I'm all for the survival aspect just I don't think that all of my time should be spent trying to find food because I think there should be time for other things in the game. I don't want to play DayZ and only be having to look for food because for me that would get boring quickly. So I may not have been doing the right things in terms of finding food and might be ignorant about it but I just wanted to state how my experience was on my first stress test and a concern I have about the game personally in this specific aspect of the game. | Posted: 13 Jun 2018 02:55 PM PDT Like 99.999% of the userbase on this sub, I've played various versions of the DayZ mod since like, 2013, both in A2 and A3, and to be honest, i've personally seen an enormous shift in the direction of the game over the years. A core component of that shift seems to be moving towards extremes of gameplay, where on the mod the only populated servers are fully militarized KOS deathmatches with infinite money and a futuristic aesthetic, meanwhile the standalone is waaayyy way slower paced and some times tedious than any version of the mod I ever played was. That leads me to this question, how many of you feel that the balance between environmental difficulty, and player engagements has been mostly lost? Because in some ways, I can see a lot of the cool and admittably immersive features inhibbiting player engagements or trying too hard to be realistic to the point that it becomes unrealistic. For example, if I were to take a hiking backpack full of food, weapons, and, cloths then shoot it 5 times with a .223 (5.56) rifle, neither the stuctural integrity of the bag, nor a majority of the contents would be compromised. Nor does it make sense to have items reach ruined condition from being hit with fists and blunt objects. So what you get is every small firefight ruining most of your kit, and absolutely destroying any chance of getting even half of the other guys loot. On the other side of the fence, I shouldn't be able to hold a Lapua, an assault rifle, 10 medkits, food, water, and a small child in a single bag, while sprinting around like Usane Bolt and eating small arms fire like I try to eat my feelings. Both extremes are equally far off from the original direction of the game which generated it's popularity, and both kind of nullify the point of having built up gear in their own ways. I suppose I am just looking to see how many people feel the same way that I do, and want more balance between the focal points of the gameplay. Or, am I off base and just remembering the modding scene from A2 DayZ incorrectly? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 14 Jun 2018 02:34 AM PDT Hi everyone. So me and my buddy love arma 3 and we thought we should give dayz a try. We used to play the crap out of the mod. I don't really mind the bugs as long as the performance is decent, but my main question is whether the game shows promise. Are things looking good with the beta? Should I wait for the summer sale? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 13 Jun 2018 09:49 PM PDT So I spent about an hour or 2 looting getting good gear, plenty of food, drinks, guns, ammo etc. So after I finished looting, I made my way to Kamiwobo and I disconnected from the server as I was standing on a fence. I rejoined, spawned on the same fence, looked around for like 2 seconds and as soon as I moved I just died, for no reason. wat [link] [comments] | ||

| Will console players be at an advantage? Posted: 14 Jun 2018 07:20 AM PDT I know its been said that Pc players will be at an advantage. But how? At this point we have to hit RMB+shift, then LMB to fire on a keyboard. I would think on a controller it gonna be a lot quicker and a lot more natural feel (maybe less buttons too). Im worried people on a controller our gonna be really hard to get the jump on. Thoughts? If the game is being revamped for Console whats the logic in making it more advantageous for PC players?
