Shoutouts to TKBreezy for holding it down all over at Combo Breaker 2018

Dudes been pretty open about levelling himself up as a commentator and versatile supporter for several scenes, and it really showed this weekend (Speedkicks is one of the top US Tekken players). He had a block in which he commentated Smash 4, DBFZ and Tekken 7 all in the span of about 18 hours, and not just round 1 pools matches either. It reminds me of how a top player learns to master multiple characters, its cool seeing one of your favorite commentators popping up on several streams doing all your favorite games

Hes been at it for awhile now (he did some assorted commentary at GTX 2017), but his game IQ is quickly improving this year, he had his specific notations down and it was clear he has been doing his homework. One thing Ive noticed hes really good at is turning moments where you are less knowledgeable into learning opportunities for the audience. It can be a very awkward thing to do, but the phrasing of questions and timing for pivoting to a more experienced co-commentator can make it seem way more natural

He also had great synergy with his various mic workers, he and Tasty Steve felt like they had been working together for years. Someone made a joke about how between those two, they could probably commentate over half the EVO lineup for any given year

A LOT of twitch chat was noticing and asking "who is this guy?/where can I hear him at more events?" and it was fun to show folks all the Black Plague highlights and other Smash related stuff. If youre a fan, be sure to catch him and others at the Smash Switch invitational in a few weeks!

Trailer concept for a Character that won't happen

We open up on Final Destination.

It's Mario, Link, and Pikachu battling it out. We can tell they're having a good time. Smash is just a fun game, right?

Things take a turn for for the worse when Mario hits Pikachu too hard, sending him flying out of the stage. He dies.

Mario and Link look horrified, they now realize what Smash is. A war.

They look at each other, and then a big text box appears over their heads.

SUDDEN DEATH

The 2, determined to survive, battle it out. Only one can be the victor. After a couple second of dodging and attacking, they both hit each other with a forward smash, and they both go flying, shattering the TV screen.

They both come out in a game development office. They're in the real world (still CGI though). They make a temporary truce and look around.

Mario finds many promotional posters of them, saying stuff like "Nintendo All-Stars in... Super Smash Brothers!"

Link finds 5 game cases, each being a Smash Brother game. They're both confused, when suddenly they see a figure in the center of the office.

They prepare a battle stance, and the figure turns around...

Masahiro Sakurai Plays God!

Sakurai grabs them both back into the TV, and whoops them. Showing off his incredibly overpowered moveset that is based off of video game design.

After kicking some ass. Sakurai takes a sigh of relief and relaxes with some coffee.

Then, another figure approaches in the office.

Sakurai: "Reggie, came to crash my party?"

Reggie; "...Yeah!"

END

I know a lot of people would be mad if this happen but I honestly wouldn't mind lol

Edit: Forgot the intro. I figured with Smash Switch on the horizon, this is most likely the midway point of the year for WiiU, so I thought it would be fun if we did a r/smashbros midyear ranking.

How it works.

I'm not sure how many people know but u/TKK112 basically nuked his youtube account for some reason (not sure if he specified why exactly) but he had some DOPE edits, one of the most popular ones was titled "thot". Ideas for Smash Bros Reveal Trailers

Basically, just post ideas for trailers. Here's one I came up with: Waluigi and Daisy are battling in a game of tennis. It's an intense game, but it ends with Daisy hitting the ball past Waluigi, scoring the point. Walking turns towards the direction the ball flies, but notices some thing in the distance. Daisy walks up next to him, staring in the same direction he is. It's the Smash crew, with the flaming logo behind them. Master Hand is floating above them, and reaches his hand/body/thing out towards them, so they can join. It then shows gameplay of both Waluigi and Daisy battling both each other and other fighters. You then see a close-up shot of some wooden boots, as the camera then slowly pans up the body, stopping just underneath the eyes. Although the face isn't fully shown, the wooden body and blue cape give away exactly who it is.
