Funniest Zeus event between my gamer clans that left the entire server laughing in tears.

The funniest thing happened in my clan Zeus event that urged me to share this. I'm a part of a small group (~20) that are mostly composed of irl friends that decided to play Arma as a down time RP event.

We were playing Zeus where we were divided into 4 squads of 5. Our objective: penetrate lines of defense to kill a VIP. The catch: we will have to find the VIP through finding one base and the next through various recon and "interrogation". We already know the building and the appearance of the VIP.

Fast forward through insertion, planning, reconnaissance, we stumbled upon a base of Opfor that we promptly dispatched. As we stormed the camp the last solider (Zeus) began shouting "don't shoot" while unarmed. We then moved him to the center of the camp once the perimeter was cleared and secured. This is where the fun part starts.

Our Zeus loves RPing and refused to our request for the location of the next base and it's info. The interrogation developed from asking nicely for intelligence, to verbal threats, stripping, and eventually firing of live ammunition next to him. Yet he still refused as Zeus thought it was not good enough. As one of my squad mate (Sam) considered torture through wounding and healing, my other squad mate, let's call him Donny, made the greatest RP in my experience.

Sam: Angry threats to Zeus.

Donny: que Bear Jew music

all 16 of us turns to face Donny

Sam: (200 IQ and reference game strong) "Now I'll ask one last time. We want some good info on the next base. Now I just need you to flap that pretty mouth of yours and tell me the coordinates and capability of the next base."

Zeus: "... why would I do that"

Sam: "Or you'll have to answer to Donny over there. Have you ever heard... of the Bear Jew?"

Zeus: "... I have heard Vague rumors. That he is a 300 pound 6'8" Jewish man with a 12 inch penis that beats people with a club."

Sam: "Well you've heard wrong. He doesn't have a 12 inch penis, nor does he beat people with a club. He beats people with his surgically attached 5 foot collapsible detachable steel penis"

Donny: Slapping noise with Bear Jew music in the background walks closer to Zeus

We're all dying in team speak

Sam: "And by beating I'm not talking about him swinging it like a bat. You see, Donny reeeeaaaally enjoys the thrusting motion."

Donny: music still going while wet squirting sounds emanate "It's lubed. I'm ready. Squad leader, permission for 'The Baseball Bat' to take a shore leave in the mud cave"

Sam: "Permission gra-"

Zeus: "It's at coordinate with 4 mortar teams. Approximately 50 armed men with standard rifles. 2 armored vehicles stationed as well"

We let him run off into the jungle.

TLDR: Bear Jew with 5 foot penis extracts information from POW.

Arma 3 ai don't follow waypoints in Eden editor

This problem mainly happens for vehicles. In the Eden editor when I assign a group of vehicles a seek and destroy waypoint on another vehicle, half of them just sit there and don't shoot, or they just point their guns meaninglessly at a wall. After I set the first waypoint I ussually set another 'destroy' waypoint on the next enemy vehicle, but they ignore it. Sometimes I'll set a 'move' waypoint to go to after they've finished a 'destroy' waypoint, but the ai vehicles don't move anywhere.

Maybe there's something I'm doing wrong. The whole situation is frustrating because it's really hard to create scenarios as a result.

I have wanted arma 3 but couldn't get it for quite a while. But the thing that is stopping me is that I think that people only play KOTH or Altis Life. I wanted to know if this is true or if people still play other game modes? Thanks.

I can't figure out why most modded factions are missing from my Zeus interface

My Sandbox related mod list has a bunch of mods and factions. I can see them in the Eden Editor, and can place the units down and all, but once I place a unit down with a Zeus Game Master module, the only factions that appear are the vanilla ones and RHS factions (Which i guess count as 'official'?) I've tried a bunch of methods seen online to fix it, such as:

  • Setting the game master module to "Use all addons, including unofficial ones"

  • Loading the game without the RHS mods

  • Exiting and reopening Zeus at least 6 times

  • Remote controlling an AI then reopening zeus

  • Syncing the game master module to the AI i am controlling

  • Not even using the Game master module (some addon i have, i think it may be achilles or something, automatically gives me zeus when I am in singleplayer editor)

None of these methods have worked though. I remember having the same issue a while ago but the fix was syncing the modules, which doesn't work anymore. Does anyone here with experience with Zeus know a possible fix for this issue? Could it be too many mods?

Audio Issues when using FPV in vehicles (Arma 3)

Basically whenever I try to enter first person view, the audio gets really distorted. It started to be prevalent after installing my Logitech headset drivers. But I'm not sure if it is actually the headset and or the software or maybe it's a common issue. Was hoping for some help here.

How to properly use the new lock on system for LGB?

So, I get it that now we need to align before launching a laser guided bomb, but theres no clear indication of when to launch it, I find my self missing most of the bombs now and losing an extreme amount of altitude, what am I missing from this new lock system? I feel like they tried to make it more realistic but it only got painfully boring to use, pls help

Scenario and vehicles

So im playing this scenario from the workshop with my friends and we though it would be fun to spawn some vehicles in and it worked. My problem is how do i get the vehicles to stay after i close down the server and host it the next time we play. (BTW the scenario has a save function that worked but i tested to see if the vehicle would stay and it didnt)

Task Force Radio - Problems
