Apparently jungling, buying items and the way laning works is really different in DOTA so what should I know? Also I mained Gangplank and quite liked Ekko, do they have any parallels in DOTA? Posted: 03 Apr 2018 07:39 AM PDT I almost get 2 platemails after my guardian greaves amd blink everygame and I am very unkillable even without the 85% dmg reduction from anchor smash. I turn them into AC/shivas/Lotus on situation. But im still curious to know as I dont know how damage exactly works in dota when u combine armor with his passive kraken shell. [link] [comments]  |

| As a Support, How Do I Deal With Dual Offlane? Posted: 03 Apr 2018 06:16 AM PDT Hey, I just ranked up to Archon 2, was roughly 2.4K before the change. I've been learning a lot about this game and have been getting a lot better. Against a solo offlaner, assuming my carry doesn't push the lane, I can almost guarantee a free farm lane and a few kills. Not so much against a dual lane. Since the recent patches have made roaming slightly worse, how can I as a pos 5 support handle a dual offlane? My main heroes are Shadow Shaman, Witch Doctor, Rubick, and Bane. Thanks. [link] [comments]  |
| Lost against Jungle LC and Offlane Clinkz-Wyvern Posted: 03 Apr 2018 12:53 AM PDT First of all, thanks to this whole subreddit for the informative and helpful discussions. It tremendously helped me achieve wherever i am now in the ladder. Now, my predicament is, I got annihilated in a particular match and I want to learn what should have been done in the circumstances. To add a bit of background, I mostly play support or offlane, and I just reached Legend 5 after a somewhat long winstreak. The enemy team had jungle LC; Clinkz in offlane, accompanied by Winter Wyvern; solo Juggernaut in safelane; and SF mid. Our team had Medusa in safelane, along with Naga and Kunkka(me); Zeus mid and Bristleback solo offlane. The problem was even though we were doing 3v2 in our safelane, we could not win the lane, and got involved in a few bad trades. SF won the mid lane against Zeus, and the bristle vs Jugg lane ended in a stalemate, and the LC jungled with impunity for the first 10 minutes. After 10-12 minutes, they started grouping up (not as 5, but rather as 3 or 4) and we were not in a fighting shape. Gradually we kept getting picked off. Now I want to get suggestion about how to punish dual offlanes like this (clinkz-ww) and junglers. So I want to know how do you know who to focus on? I normally just target anyone my team is targetting rather than the ones I need. | General game plans to win a as support? Posted: 03 Apr 2018 11:16 AM PDT One of /u/circis1 says you have to focus on the players game plan for winning that youre watching. With this in mind, what are some common game plans to execute as a higher tier support? Right now I just focus on winning two lanes. Usually secure safe -> secure mid or off. | How to deal with lane equilibrium as offlane? Posted: 03 Apr 2018 09:01 AM PDT If safe lane (assume support/carry) can pull their lane and get extra exp/gold, how do I deny them this as offlane, other than blocking/warding their camp? Should I try to keep the lane pushed? On that note, as safelane carry or support, should we try to keep the lane a bit more pushed so that we can pull if the offlane hero is pushing the lane towards us a lot? [link] [comments]  |

However, I have had a few games where we don't get a support and we are screwed early game without disable or wards. Should I add a pure disable support to use if the team comp goes sideways? Posted: 03 Apr 2018 10:19 AM PDT After thinking about the 'new' changes to attributes and seeing that int (intelligence) gives magic resist now would Silencer be pretty good against Tinker? Not just that but Last Word could really screw with a re-arming Tinker. I mean you can deal with it with a purge but it could catch some players off-guard. Thoughts? [link] [comments]  |
| When do i build carry vs tank on bb Posted: 03 Apr 2018 02:30 AM PDT Bb can go carry or tank. I usually build full tank. I pick him if I want carry potential as an offlane. I don't always get allot of kills but I do become difficult to kill. They focus me and get shredded and then it becomes a run sim. They chase you but the don't realize how much damage they don't do and how much you do by doing nothing. But what if my team feeds it I get fed. Should I go carry. So when do I go carry vs tank bb. Some questions: I started pushing after like bf shadowblade and BKB what are your recommendation Should I have farmed more? See the dotabuff there is some team advantage thing which shows they were Winning the whole game? Why and how does it work? Is it worth saving to get 40-50 hp in case of a tower dive? Are you supposed to be more of split pusher or fight with your team. I am only saying bc he doesn't really have an escape mechanism. | Posted: 03 Apr 2018 07:43 AM PDT Hi, I watched a pro player stream sniper mid. He went aquila first, boots, and then two extra wraith bands. I didn't really understand this move. Why go for the two extra wraith bands? I get that one of the bands can be used to make a pike, which he did, but that's still one extra. Also why two wraith bands instead of a second aquila? I found that he doesn't really provide that much later unless he is really farmed. I want to know how to deal with him in early game in the lane. But core and as a support.
