Posted: 03 Apr 2018 05:12 PM PDT Recently we were raiding and looking for a Tank (as usual) and we were at 9/10 and this one guy on dps joined and said "dps". I said no we need a tank as advertised so kicked him. He then proceeded to troll us and spam join so he was kicked and blocked. Despite being blocked he was still able to join the group and it took us a good 20 minutes to get rid of him while we could invite a friend. How is this even possible? If you are blocked by a commander, you should not be able to join a squad and you shouldn't be able to insta join if you are kicked. Can you at least put some sort of time out on a person that prevents them from joining a particular squad if they have been kicked? it's absurd that people can grief and troll other players in this manner. That also goes for the blocking system in general. If you have blocked someone, they should NOT be able to follow you. Your entire connection to them should be utterly severed. How is this system so antiquated in a modern mmo? [link] [comments]  | ||

This is something we came up with to share with the community, our performance over the past 3 months and our plans for the next quarter. Thank you all for the kind remarks and feedback. We are always open to constructive criticism and will add some of the recommended changes in our next report. We once again have a week packed with events. Join us on Tuesday for our Auric Basin Event Farm. Great for those that still need to complete achievements related to the events. On Wednesday we will be heading to Vabbi to slay more ley-line infused monsters. Join the cause monster hunters! Saturday will be a community day filled with events and prizes to be won. Finally we end the week with the final part of our Sandswept Isles backpack achievement run.

How to join our events? All our events are public but please be aware that some of the events will require you to own either Heart of Thorns or Path of Fire Expansions. If you join us on TS you will have priority to join our squad before the commanders put up lfg. It's really not that important of an action. However, there are just enough situations lately where I find myself wanting to stow my pet quickly - say trying to stealth in a small group in WvW (and I personally like to roam with my pet stowed and only have them out in combat) - that I think it would be some nice quality of life to be able to assign stow pet to a hot key. I played GW2 for about 3 months at launch, and have recently decided to give it another go. I'm having trouble gauging info about my favorite professions since there have been a number of balance patches post-PoF release and most posts I'm finding are from shortly after PoF's release (or earlier). Anyway, I was a big fan of the light armor professions when I played before. I enjoyed necro minion builds the most. My questions:

| I'm curious as to how other people feel about GW2 in between updates Posted: 03 Apr 2018 11:58 AM PDT Personal mumbo Jumbo. I freakking LOVE GW2. Ive been playing GW2 since beta and did some serious dabbling in GW1. In the past 5 years I only took one real break, and that was right after monthly achievements went away. I've done every raid CM, aren't very many skins im missing, and most of my missing AP is from WvW or worth 1-2 points here and there and I can't muster the effort for 1 AP. Basically I feel like GW2 is missing something. Whether its a major PVE element or something real to grind for (like faction rep GW1 style). I know we aren't paying a sub for this game and it's too easy to drop it and come back...but I so desperately want GW2 to be more than a log on and do the "daily checklist" (fractals, raids) and then run into a content wall. tl;dr: I think I've finally hit a wall with GW2 and I don't want to just drop it and come back later. | Posted: 03 Apr 2018 07:51 PM PDT Hi - does it spoil the game to buy into PoF and get an instant level 80 character? Is that the best way to get into the game? I tried the free base version and was in some old leveling area it seemed. Are all new class advances unlocked on a boosted 80? I realize this is not a loot hunt type MMO, but what is the point of doing "raids" or content at level 80 if you cannot level up further and have no need of any other gear etc? Do players just enjoy hanging out and chatting while playing? Serious questions - I am on the verge of buying into the game, but I am used to traditional MMO games, and I just need something to be working towards, doesn't need to be loot, but there must be some reason to login and play that is some form of progression. With all the recent balance changes in WvW and PvP, I decided to give WvW another shot for the first time since In a few months (took a little break, then mostly PvE'ed/PvP'ed) I wanted to open up a discussion about WvW! Lately I think balance, dev communication, and emerging tech is doing really well right now and I'm hoping WvW will get some of that goodgood in the coming year. Anything is fair game, but I have some talking points below: -How would less overall cleave/aoe damage in WvW only impact the game mode? Imagine WvW balancing accounting for this type of thing. -What things should be accounted for so that mounts can be a viable option for the game mode? Will we need bigger maps? Slower mounts? Would engage skills be too OP in their current state in a WvW context? -What classes/specs are currently lacking in WvW that could use some love? What classes/specs need a little less love? | Posted: 03 Apr 2018 06:19 PM PDT Something I've been thinking about lately is how the general player-base as a whole doesn't understand, respect or appreciate the value of useful consumables in GW2; nourishment and utility buffs. It's becoming a little frustrating seeing magic find, precision and vitality food show up in T3/T4 instanced PvE and I was wondering what all the various food options were these days. It's gotten a little complex since LS3 and LS4, hasn't it? I know that Red Lentil Sabosa, Boxed Veggie Pizza and Super Veggie Pizza (18%) are great for condition builds alongside Tuning Icicles and that power builds tend to run things like Truffle Steak, Plates of Steak/Asparagus, Avocado Smoothies and Superior Sharpening Stones or Tins of Fruitcake (identical); but I was wondering what some of the cheaper options were to get people into the habit of using food and utility buffs? Posted: 03 Apr 2018 11:35 AM PDT Hi all, Firstly This is my conf : 6700k CPU 970 GPU 16Go RAM Mothercard Z170 Often when I play gw2, I Can see some trouble in my FPS. I'm Always around 60 (not in zerg) but I see pretty frequently my FPS drops and I don't why. It drops around 8-10 with my ping increasing from 25 to 200 and during for several minutes (usually 2-3, the worst is 10). Does it provide from a problem on my computer or is it a "regular prob" from Anet? Does my computer become pretty hot to play ? It's happen during Fractals, when I chill in LA or in an other map of PoF. Can you help me please ? Thanks a lot ! [link] [comments]  |
