Would not let my son play more Civ, so he is playing Civ with his legos

Looks like Samatar Jama Barre sent all his Namibian colonists to this city...

And they said monopoly was bad..

Lucky not to be sleeping on the sofa tonight. Playing a multiplayer game with my wife, and in a last ditch effot to stop her winning (she needed about 8 more tourists wto win a cultural victory) I declared war on her. Used sea dogs to pillage her cultural sites but it DIDN'T WORK! The tourists kept coming.

Oops.

[MOD Update] For your toponymic pleasure: Rosetta is now updated for the Rise and Fall civs, with an additional 10000 city names for you to conquer your way through!

Posted: 14 Apr 2018 02:26 PM PDT

It was a fantastic landscape, for all around were rocks of the weirdest forms standing in apparently impossible positions, some placed on or next to others, in ways that seemed to defy every law of gravity.

After 300 civ VI hours, this is the first city state I am determined to destroy... I can't imagine what's on the other side.

Idea: Let Settlers be used to Add Population

Posted: 14 Apr 2018 09:34 AM PDT

I think it would be cool if you could train a settler and send them to another city tonincrease its population, as a way to boost the early growth of that city and get it off rhe ground faster. This would also be a cool way to use Magnus' governor ability. Thoughts?

I always seem to abandon games mid-way through. New starts are most exciting for me. Anyone else?

Posted: 14 Apr 2018 08:15 PM PDT

I'm probably a strange player but I've put in 70 hours now on VI and I haven't finished a single game. The game always progresses to a point around turn 150 where it's pretty clear I've already won or lost and it just bores me. The most exciting part for me I've found is a new start exploring the map and strategizing city locations and waging consequence free wars. Just curious if there's anyone else similar :)

What happened to Maddjinn's Youtube and Twitch?

Posted: 14 Apr 2018 01:53 PM PDT

I used to watch a lot of Maddjinn's videos for both his gameplay and relaxing voice, but now both his youtube and twitch seem to be deleted. I did some googling and couldn't find any reason why. Does anyone know what happened?

Should Loyalty be tied to tourism?

Posted: 14 Apr 2018 02:55 PM PDT

Short answer: Yes.

Long Answer: I played a lot a Civ 5. One of the things I really like about it was how the culture victory could effect other aspects of the game. Have cultural influence over someone? Your trade routes to them give you more science. It was a nice way to tying features together that so that you weren't punished for not relentlessness pursuing a single victory type.

Tourism in Civ 6 isn't very good at the moment. I think a reason behind that is that tourism has no effects outside of the culture victory. So here's my idea. High amounts of foreign tourism, should exert loyalty pressure on other Civs. It just makes sense that if people are vacationing in your country, they might want to live there.

Civ 6 AI Denouncements

Posted: 14 Apr 2018 05:38 AM PDT

Does anybody else agree that the AI in Civ 6 being able to denounce you for getting great people and city state influence is stupid?

Can you name a national park? (R&F)

Posted: 14 Apr 2018 12:45 PM PDT

I see in the hover-over box that my national park is named after the city it's in. Any way to change that to something more interesting? Just for grins.

What are the odds we'll get Wu Zetian as an alternate leader?

Posted: 14 Apr 2018 05:32 PM PDT

I know Firaxis hasn't prioritized the addition of alternate leaders thus far, but assuming they do eventually release a handful or so, do you think Wu Zetian has a shot at making the cut?

I personally would like to see her added to the game, but I can't help but feel that Catherine already stole her thunder. And it's not like there's a shortage of rulers who could serve as China's second leader.

If Wu Zetian were to be added to the game, how do you suppose Firaxis would handle her in a way that's faithful to what we know of her without encroaching on Catherine de' Medici's Leader Ability?

Need help on whether to go 'MAD'

Posted: 14 Apr 2018 05:10 PM PDT

Hello, so I recently got civ 6, and playing my first game on easy difficulty (love it so far). So of course I advance way ahead of the other nations. However they all hate me due to 'reasons'(owning a couple of their cities, warmongering, etc.). I'm approaching the end of the turn counter, and I got an idea. An Idea that I want to 'mass nuke' the entire map as a grand finale. So I currently built (or building) 45 nuclear subs, all positioned to nuke every city on the map.

Part of the reason I'm doing this is that all the city-states keep declaring war on me even though I did nothing to them (besides occupying their cities in retaliation after). The other half because I feel like "watching the world burn".

My question is, is it worth it? and what kind of consequences would happen afterward that I might not know about?

Here's a picture of all artifact I've got: https://i.imgur.com/dovebnZ.jpg They are all in museums (+ some extra in wonders) and they are all from 10 different city states. List of artifacts that are in museums:

  • Genoa - Medieval
  • Antwerp - Medieval
  • Sofia - Renaissance
  • Milan - Renaissance
  • Mombasa - Clasical
  • Bylos- Classical
  • Antananarivo - Ancient
  • Ormus - Ancient
  • Kabul - Medieval

I tried restarting the game and playing a few rounds but they are still not recognised. I kindly ask for any advice you can give on how to complete the challenge :)
