Welcome to /r/ArcheAge's Newbie Fridays scheduled sticky discussion thread!

Are you a returning player? Or maybe you're just a new player looking for help from Erenor's veteran adventurers? This thread is dedicated to those who seek help in the game of ArcheAge. No question is stupid, and all are encouraged to ask! Better to be informed than to be ignorant willfully.

4/5 4:00pm PDT - FIRST DELAY, LIKELY OF MANY

4/5 ???pm PDT - Servers not up even though it is past maintenance time. Actual time left ambiguous, likely a next day launch. A few hundred players get in and level up quickly and begin gearing, those who don't are stuck in queue for a few hours.

4/5 6:00pm PDT - Servers are taken down. Community calls for a mass rollback to remedy it and does not get a response.

4/6 3:00pm PDT - Launch 2.0, servers are back up.. Those who don't get in are stuck in 4 hour queues that they are disconnected from in the low hundreds.

4/6 5:00pm PDT - Servers taken down a second time, brief message from Trion about improving the servers.

4/7 2:00pm PDT - Servers online, the issues are exactly the same and there is no improvement. The subreddit and forums contain only spam about how bad the servers are. First few hundred people in grab all of the best land now that the land lock is over and attempt to level under horrible server conditions.

4/7 8:00pm PDT - Servers taken down again, brief message about how hard the team is working.

4/8 12:00pm PDT - REAL LAUNCH - Servers are back up and horrible, lag is incredible and the queue is shorter, but only because a large amount of players gave up and quit before ever entering the server.

4/8 6:00pm PDT - Servers taken down again at the exact time the bars open up.

4/9 12:00pm PDT- Still laggy and horrible, Trion decides to just wait until most people quit and pretend they fixed the servers afterward.

Cleric HUGE Cast Time Nerf

Pre-4.5 I had a cast time of 78%, now it's 99.8% and my only set of attacks now take over 5 seconds to cast. What the fuck is going on, and how can I fix this? I can no longer holy bolt. Is there a stat I should be adding to my gear, or is it related to the build itself?

Why does this game 30 minutes to download and 2 hours to install?

Seriously, i was downloaded on steam, and got stuck in a verifying/applying/downloading loop, and decided screw the steam launcher and went for the Glyph instead, and now its done downloading and "verifying" archeage for the next 30 minutes...?

Warning, if you're playing in NA but want to join the EU server early, DO NOT go on your main account. Founder codes and fresh start pack go to your first character on NA or EU.

Just thought about this when trying to log into the EU server. The first character you create will receive the founder pack and fresh start pack. I have not tested this myself, these packs might be able to go between two characters and two regions. But just the thought of losing the packs to another region just because you login a few hours early was a bit frightening and thought I'd share this concern to warn others. They might allow cross region founder packs and fresh start packs to be given to the first character on each region, I haven't tested it yet and do not want to.

TLDR - packs might be only given to the first character on the account. Meaning if you play in NA, but make a character in EU early, the packs will only go to the first character in EU and will not be available in NA later on.

No patron priority queue ?

Hello, my friends, i just bought patron and recieved a verification email, confirming the transaction done. My account is whit patron. I just start the game, and have a queue like normal account from 800. Is not supposed to have priority ? Thank you all !
